Akihabara is a common name for the area around Akihabara Station in the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo, Japan. Administratively, the area called Akihabara mainly belongs to the Sotokanda district, and the far-western part of Kanda-Sakumachō. The name Akihabara is a shortening of Akibagahara, which ultimately comes from Akiba, named after a fire-controlling deity of a firefighting shrine built after the area was destroyed by a fire in 1869.
Akihabara gained the nickname Akihabara Electric Town shortly after World War II for being a major shopping center for household electronic goods and the post-war black market. Nowadays, Akihabara is considered by many to be an otaku cultural center and a shopping district for video games, anime, manga, and computer goods. Icons from popular anime and manga are displayed prominently on the shops in the area, and numerous maid cafés are found throughout the district.

~Rowan~ "A Knight's duty is to protect... but that's not the reason I fight for Blake! It's because she's the person I want to protect the most in this world! ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
Rowan's feet tapped along the sidewalk as he made his way through the crowds of people lining the streets. Having come to Akihabara with Blake, she was currently at a photo shoot and an autograph signing, leaving Rowan to simply wander about. Luckily, Rowan was practically unidentifiable when it came to his former persona, so no one was really trying to arrest him or pull him in for questioning. What was unfortunate, however, was the sort of treatment he was getting from people. As soon as he hit the main street where Blake was, as she was in a building signing papers, he was mauled by a large group of people that noticed his appearance. "Are you a Knight!? What's with that outfit!? It's so cool." "Are you here to see Miss Trinity as well!? She's so amazing! Her hair's such a beautiful color too! Wait, is that real fur on your coat!?""Those scars look pretty cool. Did you get them fighting bandits back in your old world? Terra sounds like such an amazing place. Who are you!?" The overwhelming surge of people was a bit too much as they began to press Rowan for answers about his life and life on Terra.
Shocked by the attention, Rowan's eye nearly began to twitch as he was filled with frustration. This was the type of life he hated the most, where one could not even walk around without getting dog-piled by a bunch of rabid people. It was one thing to try and finds things out about people... but these weirdos were entirely too familiar with him. One of them was even grabbing the fur on his coat to try and see if it was real! "Back off, dammit! I'm not here to stand around and be ogled by you idiots!" He shouted at them angrily, his eyes showing just how furious he was with this situation. The reaction, however, only cemented his opinion about these weirdos. "He's a sadist Knight! Yell at me more!!!" "Call me names!" The requests began to issue out of their mouths, wanting him to verbally berate them despite the anger and intensity of his voice. Was this the strength and will of people from this world? They would gladly take any emotional abuse because it was some sort of pleasurable experience to them? Back on Terra, Rowan had thought it was weird how Blake stuck around him so much and willingly accepted his insults and comments about her. Masochism was something entirely strange. Yet... these people were pleading with him to make them feel terrible.
At this point, Rowan began to feel awkward about being around all of these people. His usual tactics of getting people to back off was only spurring them on. The reason he had left in the first place was so that he did not draw any attention or hatred from them for being around their beloved idol... but now they were focusing on him and what he had going for him. As one person reached out to touch his arm, the found that they suddenly passed through him. Likewise, the woman that was checking to see if the fur of his coat was real found that her hands were now passing right through the material. "W-What the!? What's going on?!" With a sigh, Rowan opened his eyes as he simply walked through one of the people in front of him, a chilling sensation passing through them as they let out a creepy squeal. "Sorry, but I don't have time for any of you. I've got places to be." Rowan stated to them as he simply phased through the wall of the building, moving into it in his ethereal form so as to not have to deal with whatever huge crowd had piled up outside. Once inside the building, he simply leaned against a wall while becoming physical again. Watching Blake, he was basking in the fact that she was catching so much attention that most of the people in the room were largely unaware he had even entered it, much less trying to bother him.

"Let me show you the supreme art that is service." Dragon Kin→ Maid
| WITH: Lucy and the 'Rents Are Somewhere Around | WHERE: Home/Work | FEELING: Fun | "Hi! Hello there! Nice to see you again! Yes, hello!" Natalia was switching between English and Japanese like conversation was an art form, greeting and directing people as they entered the room, approached the booth, asked whatever questions. Every once in a while, she'll be surprised by someone there for her and would happily snap a photo with, well, whoever. Some people even wanted the two women together, not uncommon. "Rates for autographs and photos are here, feel free to ask whatever questions you may have, take a card, we're happy to see fanmail. We look at every one."
"Miss Natalia! Love the page! This one's my favorite!" someone who'd made a purchase opened up their phone to a photo of a peaceful-looking Blake taking a nap. Natalia grinned.
"Oh yes! That one is my favorite too, dear! Isn't she just a doll? Do not show Blake that one, though. I would never get away with it if she saw half my posts," the dragon kin explained in a whisper to the smiling young man, leaning in with a wink. "I do believe it is your turn, though! Good luck!" These were always fun and basically easy money. Natalia used to think the same on her excursions out to Carmillion or Eldrin back when she was a denizen of the clouds. Never before did she think she'd be playing business manager for a little fae. She often deferred business ordeals back to Nat, if anyone asked about shoots, interviews, appearances, whatever they wanted. Those were questions for a manager, after all. Natalia's job was to filter through the mess, make sure the people Blake represented and the people who were representing Blake were right and proper. Couldn't have the idol tied up with any sketchy characters, after all. The woman just smiled at herself while answering some lady's questions about getting Blake to appear on their radio show. They sounded small, but this could be a big break for them. She agreed to setting up something for it but only if they also covered the school that had she'd heard was being funded by Eldrin. "It would be quite the informative show for your station." Her voice was low as she explained things, trying to keep the more important details on the DL. "Just email us a date and time. We can work something out, okay?" Natalia handed the woman a card with her information on it.
Her job for these things was simple: pseudo security. The building provided some of their own private security guards, but they were only humans from Earth. No offense. It's not like they could deal with every threat, though. Seriously, if a hostile Terran ever showed up, what did they expect to do? No, no, it was important that she help out wherever she could. "I thought you said Blake was okay with that picture," a quiet voice piped up from beside her. Lily was next to Natalia, gazing up at the woman with a disapproving expression.
"Oh. Well...~ We can talk about that later, how does that sound? We will not ever be able to leave if I don't make sure we get through this crowd!" They probably about half an hour left here. The three of them would go get Lucy's shows while Blake changed out of her outfit from the shoot and into something more street. It would probably take some time, anyway. It was a big enough pain to get it all on her in the first place. Surely getting it off would be its own trouble. That's usually how it went.

Well, they all seemed to be having a really good time with their little event. Not only were the fans going mad, but Natalia even seemed to be getting some attention from the people around her. Although, it was strange how she seemed to be whispering to one of them in a rather conniving way. Was she plotting something behind his back or hiding something vital? His eyes narrowed as he squinted at her, displeasure clearly etched on his face as he observed the photo-signing a bit more. Honestly, he did not understand an event like this or why people cared to attend them. Sure, people had their idols and people they looked up to... but what was the point in paying so much money to simply get a photo of that person and maybe get a few kind words from them? Was the world really full of such simple people that talking to a pretty girl was enough to get them through the day or something? I really don't think I'll ever understand the people of this world. Their values all seem to be strange or completely backwards. Rowan thought to himself as he heard a lot of them shouting that they loved Blake. Maybe this is why he never saw Alistair around Blake during these types of things. His dad senses would probably cause him to have an aneurysm.
It was then that he noticed that someone had approached him from the side, having split off from the main grouping of Blake's fans. It was a rather small-looking woman, the bookish type you might expect to see at a library. "Excuse me. You're a Terran, aren't you? Are you here to see Miss Trinity?" The woman asked, curious as to why a Terran had shown up. While it was true that there were fans of Blake from Terra, a majority of the people that, in Rowan's opinion, stalked her were humans from Earth. It was not too strange for the woman to ask why he would be coming to her photo-signing. "Not really. I'm just observing the antics of people that don't have lives." Rowan stated rather coolly, looking off to the side after throwing out his insult. "Well there's no need to be rude!" The woman stated while blowing up like a puffer-fish, a nerve having been struck by Rowan's statement. Perhaps not all humans were prone to enjoying a good verbal berating or found him as endearing as the weirdos from outside.
Sighing, Rowan merely watched the woman stomping her way over to Blake and getting a signature from her, still in a huff as she did so. Glad to see that, at the end of the day, I'm still me. Rowan thought to himself as a pleased smile spread across his face from the reaction he got. It was at that moment that one of the weirdos from outside had walked in, spotting him, and ran as fast as they could in his direction. Not in the mood for this exactly... Rowan thought to himself, and the second they touched him they both blinked out of existence with only Rowan returning there. The man had simply teleported them all the way to the back of the line and put himself back inside of the building. That'll probably do it. Rowan thought to himself, smiling again as he looked over towards Blake and gave her a wave full of confidence. The horrendous action, however, was met with a few people taking a couple steps away from him, feeling that he might erase them from existence or something considering they were still confused about what happened. The book-signing was definitely not the proper place for Rowan to be.

"Let me show you the supreme art that is service." Dragon Kin→ Maid
| WITH: Blake, Rowan, Lucy, and Fans | WHERE: Akihabara | FEELING: Goodness | An all too familiar chill ran down the dragon kin's spine, her crimson eyes glancing around the room until they settled on a disgruntled-looking Knight. For a moment, Natalia had sworn that Rowan's frustrations were directed toward her. This was definitely not the young man's scene. That was obvious, and Nat had been prepared for that much. It's not as if she had done anything! When had he come into the room? She was not acting so suspicious as to warrant the glare and vibes he was sending her way! Was the man that wary of her? My, my. I never thought I would be off the guy's radar entirely, but he is on top of his game, isn't he? she thought to herself, watching Rowan. A young woman seemed to have split off from the group to approach him and make conversation. Nat grinned, her tail swaying back and forth with curiosity. She'd normally attempt to look as human as possible outside Carmillion, but her preferred appearance was fine in these places. What was not fine was how frustrated that guest looked after leaving Rowan and approaching Blake for a signature. Oh no. Oh no. Despite all that boy's... charisma. He really does not have much charisma. Natalia sighed a little and shot the idol a worried expression. The situation was helped none when some far-too-excited person attempted to rush the man. While the victim in this situation was questionable, the one who got teleported to who knows where or poor Rowan being bum-rushed by one of the fans without manners. It was impressive that Natalia did not have a full-on meltdown, but her face was not hiding her absolute appall. I cannot decide if I should be worried why he's smiling or the fact that he is smiling in the first place. It never meant anything good before.
"Blake, darling, you have this handled, right?" Nat asked, stepping very close to the the light-haired elf, murmuring lowly into her ear. "This is no place for a young kid like Lucy. You're the one who is always saying so after all. Rowan and I are going to take her out shopping. We will be back by the time you are all finished up. Security is taking care of clean up, so all you have to worry about is freeing yourself from that outfit. You can call me when you wrap up so I can unwrap, well, you." She nudged Blake with her elbow and a wink at the joke. Of course, she was fully aware of what could have been implied from such a statement. That was why she worded it that way! "Lucy, darling! Let's go pick out your gift, huh? It's boring here anyway." And I don't really have a response if anyone ends up complaining too much... "Do not mind the crowd! I will protect you! And our lovely security guards will protect our nobility!" A gravity ability was not at all required to scoop the child up onto her back. "Sorry, everyone, we have a promise to keep, but don't worry your pretty little heads, Blake is not moving an inch!"
Natalia strolled up to Rowan, a far-too amused expression on her face. This was all rather funny, after all. "You owe this one some dvds, if I am not mistaken. Lady Blake has things covered here, so let us acquire the loot, Master!"

What became a peaceful, quiet moment with no one bothering him quickly developed into Natalia forcing her presence upon him, disgruntling him quite a bit as his eyes narrowed the the dragon kin. Seeing Lucy on her back, Rowan's soon began to suspect that he was about to drag his sister into some horrible plot or turn her into a neanderthal of sorts. The words that she spoke, however, gave a different sort of impression. "Loot, huh? You make it sound like we're going into the forests of Carmillion or something. I could only be so lucky if that were the case." Rowan commented, regret filling him as he realized just how distant he felt from the Akihabara scene. While his appearance matched the town quite well, Rowan's personality was a complete opposition to the feelings and values that all of these people held. Not one of them could probably understand Rowan, and Rowan definitely would not be able to understand the motivations of any of the people at this photo-signing. None of it made any sense to him whatsoever.
Sighing, Rowan shifted his weight slightly and began to rest his hand on the hilt of his sword. "While I was expecting to have a pleasant evening shopping with my sister, you're not entirely unwelcome. It's not like I could just dangle you on a hook or something and come to pick you up later." Rowan commented, referring to Natalia like she was some piece of laundry or a coat one would hang until they were ready to retrieve it again. "Just don't get too chummy... or comfy." Rowan commented, remembering how the woman had snuck into his bed about a week ago when Blake was asleep. Did Natalia even know that Rowan could not sleep to begin with? Rowan, uninterested in that line of though, simply shrugged away the question to himself and placed his hand on Natalia's head. At this point, it would probably become obvious, much like the last time he had placed his hand on Natalia, that the killing intent was no longer forced on her from Gram. "I guess we'll take a different route outside. I'd rather not get mauled by any more people just because of my clothes." Rowan commented, looking around him for a few seconds before leading Natalia through a wall. This was where his ability to turn ethereal really came in handy. It was a quick way to leave a building without anyone really noticing.
Once the two of them were on the other side, they would find themselves in an alley. "We're going to some electronics store, right? Or is it a figurine store? I'm not really familiar with this place.... and maybe that's a good thing." He muttered the last part to himself as he stared around the alley, walking out of one side of it that was a little ways away from Blake's fans. At the back of the line was the woman he had teleported away, which might come as a relief to Natalia if she noticed her. "You know this place better than I do, right? Since you've been here with Lucy quite a bit?" Rowan asked, slightly revealing that he may have been stalking the two of them while they were moving about Akihabara in the past. Rowan was known to watch over his sister, so it was not too unlikely that he had spent quite a bit of time just observing her and the people around her while they were separate in this new world. "Or do you want to lead the way?" Rowan directed the question towards his sister in a slightly gentler voice, indicating that he was trying to be sweet to her.

| WITH: Master and Lucy | WHERE: Streets of Akihabara | FEELING: Adventurous! | "It would not be proper form if I were too chummy with my master, would it?" Natalia asked with a wide grin. Looked like getting him out of here would not fair to be too difficult. "I cannot make any promises about comfort," she admitted with a glance back to Lucy. While one wouldn't consider carrying a kid on their back to be very comfortable, it was not like she weighed very much. It was similar to carrying an empty backpack for the dragon kin. Whether Rowan took this as a reference to the girl or an attempt on him was his own prerogative. When he moved to place his hand on Natalia's head, she was tempted to shrink back from the gesture but stopped herself. Doing so would simply make her look suspicious, and he had already been glaring at her just moments ago. The sensation was strange. More accurately, the lack of sensation was strange.
The same thing happened a week ago. Before the whole world-altering event, the Knight's very presence made her uncomfortable. Gram's anti-dragon properties and aura-like distaste for her and her race were almost palpable. It did not simply put her on-edge but was even capable of making her downright sick. Normally, it was something she had to fight through. Last week, it wasn't a problem. Now, it wasn't a problem. Nat narrowed her eyes, wondering what exactly could have been the cause. The anti-dragon properties were still there. There was no question about that. A dragon kin had complained about a run-in with the Delinquent of Shibuya. Could he control the aura? Was Gram even still a part of him? The woman blinked for a second when Rowan brought up another route out of the building. "Not to worry. There is a door over behind- this works as well." There was not much time for directions before they were phasing through the building out into some alley between this building and the next. "That certainly comes in handy, huh?" Following Rowan with Lucy still on her back, she let out a sigh of relief when they stepped onto the sidewalk to see the back of the line as well as the woman who nearly made a scene. Lovely. No need to worry about a lawsuit. Good to know.
"Indeed I do! Though I am a little curious as to how you know that." Her tail gave that much away. "There is a comic shop Lucy likes. The culture around here is a little strange. Well, this culture." She waved a hand around in the air. "This. This is less Japan and more media, I believe. It is certainly... intriguing. Cosplay increases Blake's popularity, too, so we cannot really complain about it. Lucy is really into it, too. Though I do not see why. After all, she has the best dragon maid a kid could ask for!" Natalia bragged, letting Lucy down onto the sidewalk.
"I don't know if I would call you the best," Lucy teased with a big grin before turning to her brother. "Leave the leading to me! I know the way!" She said these things with such confidence and over a sad-sounding "hey" from the woman behind her. Despite this confidence, she had to take a look around the street to really get her bearings. Nat just looked down at her with an amused look. "This way!"

"A comic shop, huh? I don't really see the point in those things for adults. At that point in your life you can just go out into the Unexplored Region to live that kind of life depicted in those picture books. I get that it's a way to escape for people, but you would think they would be inspired to go out and find Mages or something now that that option was available to them." Rowan commented, reflecting on just how important the comic industry was for Japan and how many people read fantasy novels and comics. Although... I can't say that I want Lucy to run around trying to cast spells on huge monsters trying to save the world or anything like that. So, maybe I understand where they're coming from a little bit... Rowan thought to himself as he wondered whether or not he would truly be okay with Lucy trying to become a Mage or anything of the sort. While he would undoubtedly feel proud, Rowan would also feel an intense amount of worry that might even equal the worry Alistair displays whenever Blake leaves home for the dangerous regions of the world.
"I'm guessing that cosplay is half the reason everyone seems so incredibly interested in my outfit? I realize that it's not casual wear, but I didn't think it'd gather as much attention as it has so far. You would figure the Japanese people would have gotten used to how Terrans dress." Rowan commented as he let out a small sigh. In reality, he did not dress like most people from Carmillion did. In fact, his gear more fit the Yuki-no-Okoku's region due to it being built for extreme cold and the like. The only reason Rowan could wear it in the middle of the day like this was because his belt made him capable of doing so. Its fire resistance was half the reason he could wear whatever he wanted whenever he wanted to. "It's definitely different from the looks I used to get whenever I would walk around town. They would see a shirtless man and instantly walk in the opposite direction, especially when they noticed the jacket I was wearing. Apparently it had become a symbol or something of who I was." Rowan commented as he began to follow Lucy to her favorite shop. At this point, Rowan was simply talking to try and pass the time.
His eyes glided over towards Nat and observed her for a few seconds as he continued to follow behind his sister. "I guess I should feel some sort of pride. Apparently, you turned out pretty well as a maid. When I first brought you back, I made a bet with myself that you'd probably end up trying to collapse the house out of anger or frustration. Instead you're letting a child constantly beat you in arm-wrestling." Rowan commented as the moved along, looking off to the side to feign some sort of disinterest in the subject at hand. "I don't know why you've taken care of everyone like you have been, or why you're trying so hard, but don't think it isn't appreciated." He stated a few seconds afterwards, trying to give some sort of indication that she was not being absolutely ignored by the man. Her efforts, taking care of Lucy, and especially watching over Blake, they were all noticed and acknowledged by him. "But if you keep taking secret pictures of Blake, you're going to have to answer for them." He finished, rubbing his neck slightly as he looked towards her with a rather menacing glare. "I learned how to use social media too..."

| WITH: Master and Lucy | WHERE: Streets of Akihabara | FEELING: Self-Aware | Natalia's heels clicked against the sidewalk as she and Rowan followed behind a confident Lucy. If the kid ever needed some direction, she would help, but she seemed to have navigation covered. "Have everything that was romanticized and fictional suddenly available, one would think there would be those who would jump at the chance to be a part of it. The true fun of it is in the fact that they are safe at home, watching from their couches. No danger. No risk. Many simply believe they do not have the capacity. Not that I can blame them," the woman explained with a shrug, glancing over at the people on the other side of the street. Everyone wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves, but so many are afraid to take the first step. Perhaps that new school will bring about a change to things. Will these far too regular humans be able, be willing to take up a chance handed directly to them? There are even Terrans who know what monsters lurk the world but still get ahead of themselves. I cannot help but wonder if there are even humans from earth capable of taking up the sword. Sword. Dammit. Blake "had" her ax. Nat was never wholly comfortable without access to her weapon. The woman brought a hand for her forehead before through her bangs, an exasperated sigh leaving her.
"Yes, indeed. It is particularly popular in this area, and your new look simply radiates protagonist," the dragon replied with a smile. "I doubt you will get this much attention in other parts of the city. People are just, what is a nice way to put it? Excited." She laughed lightly. Very easily excited. "You have gone straight from renegade to paragon. He's quite regal, isn't he, dear?" Natalia called out to Lucy who spun around to nod at them before turning back to face where she was going. Couldn't bump into anyone. "Well, your appearance has. The aesthetic of your Armaments are entirely opposed. It is almost funny." The woman stifled a chuckle and shook her head, a cheeky smile spread across her face. "Not to worry. I doubt you will be rushed like that in most other places. Though I cannot make such promises, of course," she teased with a wink. Everyone was unpredictable, after all. Earthling and Terrans. Who knew a sadistic dragon kin warrior would fall head over heels for a simple human kid? Who knew the man she killed would be so gutsy as to sacrifice himself for her own sake? Speaking of unpredictability, Rowan's next statement seemed to come from nowhere.
The Knight's words earned him an inquisitive expression. Disgruntled was more like it. Why was this suddenly coming up? Slightly embarrassed at this acknowledgement, the woman's gaze lowered to the ground as they moved. Why I'm trying so hard? Am I? It is not as though I can begin to repay whatever kindness I've been dealt. Truly, I would have given back twice that amount of hell that had been dished out to begin with if I were him. Though if I am being truthful, this has not been a walk in the park. I will say that much. What am I supposed to do, hmm? Just listen to a little girl gush about how cool and kind her big brother is knowing I'm the one who took that away? Let some lovesick child have enough free time simply to sink into whatever spiraling depression undoubtedly pulling away at her? That certainly would not be doing right by the one who had saved me twice. I am a dragon not a monster. Her tail flipped back and forth as she thought about that last bit for a moment. Well, perhaps not anymore. With a grin, Natalia looked up to the Knight, about to respond, when she was met with a rather scary glare. Her smile, however, did not fade. "Come now. Come now, Master. Is that an order? Those photos really help my page and her popularity. Better I take them than some scumbag paparazzi." Natalia was not much better than some scumbag paparazzi. "I am surprised you figured out social media platforms, to be honest. Not that I doubt you, of course. No. I am simply surprised that even be something within your interests. Oh! Or perhaps you were checking up on us, huh?" the maid asked with a devilish grin. The movement of her tail picked up a little, a dangerous spark in her red eyes. "Did you see the one I took when we went to go pick up Miss Lucy the first time? Blake is modest but not self-conscious. Who knew some princess could change that? Never thought I'd see the day where another girl would make her nervous. Ahahaha!" Her laughed faded into a sigh, her tone suddenly becoming more serious; the dragon kin brought her arms behind her head.
"A maid might get full of herself if you give out such compliments, though. You should be more careful." Her eyes were set forward but seemed far off. If she were being perfectly honest, she did not know her own reasoning. Obligation? Entertainment? At the very least she wanted to do right by her savior and do what he would have done and keep everything from falling at the seams. Her own motivations confused her, frustrated even if she focused on them too much. It was not as though she wanted to go back to how things were before. Natalia simply never would have thought that some little motley family would have this much of an effect on her. "Someone had to keep an eye on everyone while you were gone. A proper maid must carry on her master's duty, after all~." The pep in both her voice and step picked back up. "And don't you dare say that I let Miss Lucy win! She's the strongest in the whole house! And that has absolutely nothing to do with the force equation whatsoever."

~Rowan~ "A Knight's duty is to protect... but that's not the reason I fight for Blake! It's because she's the person I want to protect the most in this world! ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
"Don't worry, I don't plan to ever compliment you again. So as long as you keep up your usual, lackluster work, then you'll be good." Rowan commented, dismissing her entirely as he threw out a few insults for good measure. That should lower her expectations of him and sort of neutralize whatever comments may be said at a later date. "As long as you're making yourself useful, you'll only be slightly berated on a daily basis. So don't falter too much." He stated afterwards, guaranteeing some rather cruel treatment in the future as opposed to how he would normally act. Maybe Rowan was just sort of sadistic and took pleasure in ruining the days of others. His death had been rather unjust and left him rather spiteful, so maybe that developed into a sort of sadistic personality that wished others to have a genuinely terrible time. Either way, there was probably no changing whatever personality Rowan had developed as a result, even if his Armament turned a stark white color and he was supposedly the wielder of a legendary blade.
His attention was soon caught by something else happening off to the side. Once again, it seemed like a few dragon kin were causing trouble around Japan. Akihabara was probably the place that would have the most difficulty considering the types of people that usually come here. Dragon kin, being tribal people cut off from the rest of Yainder, had trouble adapting to modernized cities like the one they found themselves in. Often they would cause a ruckus due to the nature of their civilization and the focus on physical power over mental attributes. That made a place like this, full of some of the weakest human beings, somewhere far more prone to outbursts from dragon kin and some other races from Yainder. In particular, they seemed to be toying around with one guy who seemed to be with a girl. "Whenever I see dragon kin, I don't really feel any more hatred. The types of things they do even make sense to me, it's part of their culture. Take what you want, when you want. Cause trouble for those that get in your way. Strength is absolute. It's all rather easy to understand. It's not even a bad life to be honest. I just don't think it's the proper life for a lot of people. I prefer it myself because of the kind of life I live now. Weakness is what killed me, and being strong has kept me alive up until now. So when I think about the lifestyles of dragon kin, I sort of wish I could live that way." Rowan commented, watching them for a few more moments. "But then a part of me screams that being a Knight's supposed to be the complete opposite of that. We're strong for the weak, so that people don't die. We're supposed to be strong so others don't have to feel weak. My idealism is in conflict with another. So when something like this happens, I wonder if I should just walk away and let it figure itself out." Rowan commented, slowing down as he wondered what would come of the interaction between these four people he had noticed.
The woman clearly seemed upset... but he wondered if it was real. She seemed genuinely upset. This guy these dragon kin were ridiculing and tossing around must be really important to her if that were the case. There must be some prior value placed on him that she saw, something that drew her to the weaker person. These dragon kin probably would not understand something like that, given how they were raised. That would mean. It'll undoubtedly escalate. Rowan thought to himself, realizing that whatever was about to happen would probably spill out to the rest of the street. With a sigh, Rowan turned his head towards Natalia. "I need to do my job, technically. Do you mind keep Lucy back a bit?" Rowan commented as he casually started walking through the street, a few cars coming to an abrupt halt from the fearless man's sudden crossing. Even if the dragon kin might cause and incident, Rowan was pretty prone to causing a scene as well. Walking, he crouched down and picked up what seemed to be some sort of screw or bolt that had fallen out of something and onto the street.
"Oi oi, you're not gonna step aside or anythin? What's wrong with you guy?" The dragon kin spoke as they spun the man around, throwing him between the two of them and disorienting him. Every now and again the would scratch him with a claw or something, just trying to inflict enough pain to make him scram. "Stop it! Stop hurting him!" The woman yelled at them angrily as the other dragon kin pushed her backwards a little ways, keeping her from interfering with them. "If you wanna do somethin than get stronger, humans." He commented with a smirk just before something small and compact came into contact with his cheek, the force of it sending a shockwave of pain through him as his body was thrown back from the force of the projectile. The only reason it did not blow right through him was due to his thick skin from being a dragon kin. As the young man flew backwards at a high speed, tumbling the entire way, a small screw fell onto the ground and pattered over towards the other one, causing the man to look up and see Rowan having finished the motion of flicking the screw towards one of them.
"What the hell was that? A screw? How the hell did you do that?" The dragon kin asked, less afraid and more curious as to how he put so much force into the object. The man seemed relatively human, except for the orange eyes and metal covering his arm. The style of dress told him he was- oh no. "H... Hey man... That white coat. Um... you aren't-" "Yeah." "Oh, um... well... you see. I was..." "Leaving right?" "Yeah, that's it! So, if you don't mind-" "Here. Let me help you with that." Rowan stated as he joyfully slapped his hand on the man's shoulder and, a flicker later, Rowan flickered back into existence alone. "There we go. That should be about it. Have a nice day." Rowan stated, walking out into the street just to have a car pass through him and come to a screeching halt. The terrified man looked out his window to see Rowan was still in once piece, casually walking to the other sidewalk.
Upon coming back, he looked at Natalia and nodded. "See, I learned how to deal with things like that without really taking sides too much. Only one guy got hurt too." Rowan commented, nonchalantly turning his head to looks towards the unconscious dragon kin that still did not seem to be moving. The man was clearly breathing though. "So, Lucy, are we almost at the shop yet? I think I'll buy you a whole series as well as your favorite one, that way we have more stuff to read and watch." Rowan commented, patting the child on the head as more bystanders stood away from him, clearly frightened about what happens to the people that flicker out of existence. Most probably assumed he just erased them entirely, seeing as how they do not reappear anywhere near the bystanders.

"Let me show you the supreme art that is service." Dragon Kin→ Maid
| WITH: Master and Lucy | WHERE: Streets of Akihabara | FEELING: Self-Aware | The dragon kin could not help but chuckle at Rowan's promise for zero compliments and mild scorn. "Good!" she confirmed, crossing her arms with a single nod. "Glad we're on the same page. Anything else would make the ladies in maid club jealous. Can't have that. They will eat me alive!"
"You're not in maid club!" Lucy called back with a shake of her head. Natalia rolled her eyes with a grin.
"Of course, not, dear. That sounds like a place for nerds. I can only hope such a thing would not exist..." Natalia's voice dropped off at the sound of yelling, her eyes catching the scene of a couple dragon kin messing with some humans. There were a lot more that seemed to be popping up around the area, the promise of new things having lured quite a few down from the platform. This was perfectly normally behavior for them and something the female dragon kin would have normally ignored, but the interaction seemed to catch Rowan's attention, as well. Lucy probably wouldn't approve, either. She looked over to him when he spoke about it, stating his perception on her culture and speaking of the duty of Knights. Her gaze drifted away from him and back to the four across the road at the mention of his own death, however. It wasn't a topic she was too fond of, and she did not want to act as though it had nothing to do with her, either. After all, Natalia was the one who introduced him to her race's culture first, cementing the importance of strength in life. "Mmm, yes. Even with Gram's reputation, you would certainly be popular." Or perhaps popular wasn't the right word. Rowan had pulled her from her people and land and basically owned her after beating her in combat. Dragon kin or not. That had been one of the reasons she hadn't immediately torn down the Trinity household upon arrival. Believe it or not, Natalia followed the rules. There was a certain order to things, after all. Too bad that home went up in flames, anyway. "Eh, it is not all it's cut out to be. Everything is all fine and good until you're beaten and forced into servitude to a couple of kids who are going to outlive you by a long shot," the woman laughed a little. "The Knight lifestyle really suits you better than a housemaid." Despite her capacity for humor, Natalia felt this conversation to be rather... messed up. If it weren't for her, he would already be over there, chastising those guys. She could only assume so. The grateful feeling she got when he began walking over was... confusing. It's not like she particularly cared about what was going on over there. Maybe she was worried more about the man with her. "Of course, Master. The Lucy protection squad is on the job!" Natalia enthused with a salute, her tail reaching out and pulling the kid close to her. Lucy, absolutely oblivious to what was going on due to her excitement for the store, looked a little surprised.
That is something I do not think I'll ever understand. Something the human race in particular seems to be so enamored with. These guys would probably just leave them alone if they didn't act so much like easy prey. Run. Get out of their way. If you can't put up a fight, there's plenty of shame in retreat. It is better than getting hurt or dying just because you are stubborn, like you have something to prove. Nat reflected on this as Rowan moved over and took out one of the dragon kin with a piece of road debris and the other seemed to recognize him from some old rumors. That was surprising. She sighed and scratched the top of her head, resigning herself to not really understanding. Instead of contemplating on any of this further, Natalia simply looked down at Lucy who seemed completely enamored with her brother.
"That was so cool! They aren't too hurt, though, are they?" After all, one of them seemed to be flashed totally out of existence, much like the woman who had rushed him before. "They're jerks, but... Oh, yeah. It's actually like right here." Like right here being a couple more stores down. "Really, though? Okay! Let's pick one out together!" Natalia couldn't help but think about how proud Rowan seemed to be for not causing too much damage save for whatever trauma it would cause all these people to think people could just pop them out of existence whenever they felt like it. There was another thought about spoiling his sister, but that was a smaller issue.
"Yes, it's just right up here. We should be moving and all that." Linger too much, and people would probably talk too much. Nat herself was quite tempted to record what just happen for the web, but she also loved her phone far too much to give the Knight another reason to smash it to pieces.

~Rowan~ "A Knight's duty is to protect... but that's not the reason I fight for Blake! It's because she's the person I want to protect the most in this world! ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
"Whether they're hurt or not is of little consequence. They brought it on themselves by spouting out all that crap about strength being everything. If you ask me, they were just asking for someone to walk up and ruin their day." Rowan commented, looking off to the side rather absentmindedly as he responded to his little sister's statement. In all honesty, Rowan could not care at all if he wanted to whether or not the dragon kin would be permanently scarred for life by the events that just transpired. Due to Gram's innate nature, Rowan, too, had become rather uncaring of the members of the race and general and tended to be rather blunt and inattentive to them. At worse, he was outright hostile to quite a few of them. It took a lot of willpower and maid training to make Natalia not seem like a dragon kin to him and more like just an annoying lizard. "That's right Lucy, feel the disinterest in their well-being." Rowan muttered to himself with a rare smile appearing on his face, proud that his sister had gone from concerned about the dragon kin's health to concerned about where the store they were heading to was. Rowan could not feel any more proud of Lucy in this moment of triumph.
Maybe he should teach Lucy to verbally berate people, mold her into a younger version of him that people had to find adorable. How great would it be if the two of them could bond over calling people out on their crap and trash talking others like there was no tomorrow? Just the thought of it could bring a proud smile to a caretaker's face as they thought about such situations. Yes. When we get back I'll have to work on turning her into a little, evil mastermind. Blake probably won't mind too much, especially since such a mentality might make her life a little bit better in the end. After all, having people like you is just a way to attract people that will inevitably use you for their personal gain. If someone can stand to be around you when you're so verbally offensive, it means that they truly want to keep you at their side. Rowan thought to himself, silently nodding to himself as he tried to relay his own feelings about his relationship with Blake to the task at hand. The fact that she was so willing to be insulted by him fro so long was a testament to this statement.
Eventually, he turned his attention back to Natalia as the three of them began to close in on Lucy's favorite store, his dull eyes landing on her almost accidentally. "So, how are you going to handle the media attention when the world finally finds out that I'm Blake's Knight? It's probably going to cause quite a bit of trouble, isn't it?" Rowan asked, trying to figure out how she was going to go about keeping people from mobbing their house or setting fire to their social media accounts. "I understand that this world is one that thrives off of scandals and the like. So I'm rather curious how you're going to pass off a strange man clad in white armor suddenly moving into Blake's home. Additionally, how are you going to manage keeping all the people away from me so that I don't have to teleport them miles away?" Rowan asked, having already determined the best course of action should anyone try to make him into some social media star. That sort of life was not the one he liked, much to the irony of his former dreams, and he would try to defend his rather plain existence to the death. Whether that was his death, or the death of another, would not be known until such an event might arise.

"Let me show you the supreme art that is service." Dragon Kin→ Maid
| WITH: Blake, Rowan, Lucy, and Fans | WHERE: Akihabara | FEELING: Goodness | "Oh, I have already been prepping for that. You're right. It very well could cause quite a stir. Luckily, I have learned to go about these sorts of things. Honesty seems to be the best policy strangely enough." The dragon kin shrugged at the explanation. "Act like you have something to hide and people are more tempted to pry. Keep everyone updated, and they feel like a part of the family. Share too much, and you are just begging for attention. It's all about regulation, I suppose. Just have to wait until people start asking questions and get to it before any media does. Creepy photographers do not bother us too much because they have nothing on me. Haha!" A bell sounded off as they walked into the store. The place was a little popular, so there were quite a few people but not crowded. Everything was separated by type of media, genre, title. "As for you, we can just get you a 'do not touch' sign to hang around your neck. Hmm... or maybe do something about how approachable you...could seem. It is really only places like this where it might be a problem... Do not fret, Master! I will take every step necessary to avoid any lawsuits and scandals!" Poor Natalia wouldn't know what to do if something like that happened. The trick to all of this was making sure they went about it the right way. If she didn't announce it, then it would look like they were trying to hide it. Do it before anyone suspects anything, and it would seem like they're trying to cover up something else. In retrospect, it was simple, but the only coverage Blake had so-far was in a positive light. While some don't mind getting more eyes on them due to rumors, the fae probably would not appreciate having that sort of fame. "Not to worry. This is all much simpler than leading men in battle. I will protect you, the face, and the grabby fans!" Natalia proclaimed loudly, throwing her fist in the air. Lucy, pumped up from the woman's "conviction" did the same.
"Yeah!" she enthused, striking the same pose. "To the DVDs!"
"You heard her," the maid pressed with a grin. Their presence was already getting some attention, some of the other customers in the store looking their way. It... may also have been because they were shouting. Lucy took off in whatever direction that would get her to her favorites the fastest. Nat took the opportunity, speaking lowly to the girl's older brother. "Oi! Don't think I didn't hear you earlier. Not that I would question my Master, of course, but Lucy doesn't need any sketchy encouragement like that! Heheh, you'll spark up something devious like that."
