Something was afoot, to say the least. Some restaurant Paracelsian had ordered from a few days ago had experienced a very long delay due to a sudden rerouting. That was odd; people used to pass through that area all the time. Perhaps someone had let a youma loose through there, and it wasn't safe to go there? It merited investigation all the same. When Paracelsian arrived, it was with a great sense of oncoming doom. Soon, he spotted it: the obelisk. That certainly hadn't been there before. The great monument began to ripple, as though it were made of water, and then it became black and shiny. That was definitely unusual. He paused, making thoughtful yet confused noises at the obelisk, trying to figure out what to do with it first.

Camelot stood with his hands on his hips, looking up at the strange structure curiously. He had been there for only a few moments, after hearing about the weird thing and wanting to take a look himself. The weird reports were right, it seemed. He had not been able to see it when he approached as a civilian, but when he found a safe spot to power up he could see the tall, imposing obelisk.
His skin prickled in an unpleasant way, and he doubted anything good would come from this. As a general rule, any weird or sudden thing that happened in Destiny City was probably not a good thing. At least, in his long years of experience, that was how it usually went.
Not that he was jaded.
Turning his head, he spotted the other powered being who had come to look at the tower, though he was surprised to see it was not a White Moon soldier. Was this thing unexpected to the Chaos factions, as well, and not caused by them? That seemed strange, but not unheard of, either.
He decided to approach peacefully, as he often did.
"Strange, isn't it?"

Paracelsian might have gotten a little too lost in thought, for Camelot's voice jarred him out of his reverie. It was then he felt the massive Order aura, like a Knight's, but even more so. He shuddered; the feeling of dread only seemed to get heavier. He was faced with a hard hitter for Order. This guy didn't seem to be looking for a fight, and Para hoped it would stay that way. Collecting himself, he nodded. "Yes, very strange. If this is something on our end, I didn't get the memo." He looked the Royal Knight over for a moment. Those were Earth symbols, but why did this guy feel so big and important? "If you don't mind me asking... what are you? You look like a Knight, but like a super-Knight."

Camelot was not unused to people not knowing what he was: his rank was a little obscure. He was patient and liked to answer questions, so it worked for him anyway. Offering his hand in greeting, he bowed his head slightly.
"My name is Camelot, and I'm a Royal Knight of Earth. A Super Knight would have been a cooler name, though a bit confusing with Super Senshi out there."
He looked thoughtful for a moment. After all, the fact that they were all called knights and also had a stage called Knight could get pretty complicated. They did not need to make things harder. Shaking his head, he snapped back to the conversation at hand.
"I'm a rank above the third stage for the knights. Like the royals for Senshi, I have unique abilities and powers. I know my aura can be a little overwhelming, but unfortunately it's not something I can control."

Paracelsian nodded as Camelot described his station among the Knights. "What are those unique abilities and powers?" The powers might be old news, depending on how long this guy was walking around with that huge aura (and thus being detected), but he wanted to hear for himself. Something else occurred to him, and he gave a glance over his shoulder to see if anyone else was approaching before following up with a question. "I guess, on that note... how does one become a Knight? I'm just wondering." His eye contact was getting shifty; he looked to the monument again and put a hand in his pocket. He kind of wanted to memo bomb this thing.

Camelot smiled surreptitiously at the question about his powers. He was usually a very trusting sort, but there always had to be some kind of line when it came to chatting with the Negaverse. It was all too easy to be too relaxed, and let slip some information that was probably safer kept to himself. Some of his powers, for instance, were on a need to know basis.
He could easily imagine how the Negaverse could abuse his ability to sense knights about to awaken, and corrupt them just to prevent it from happening.
The idea made him shudder.
"Well, one of my abilities helps in becoming a knight," he said easily, pretending not to notice the uncomfortable way Paracelsian was looking at everything but the Royal Knight himself. "I can purify a starseed of Chaos. Every person has the chance to become a knight, it is just if they reach their potential, or call to this power in a time of need, that it is awakened. That ability to become a knight is not lost when corrupted. It just needs a little more help."

"Purify a starseed, huh... hmm." Paracelsian wanted to inquire further about it, he really did. There were so many questions on the tip of his tongue, but at first, none of them came out. Fortunately, after much hesitation, one did come out. "So... someone could leave the Negaverse and become a Knight with your help?" He hoped he didn't sound too hopeful. He didn't know if anyone was around who could possibly hear him. Sure, he didn't feel any auras around other than Camelot's, but that wasn't always a guarantee of safety. "Hmm." Para made another thoughtful noise as he pulled his pad of post-it notes and a pen out of his pocket. Suddenly, he became very occupied with scribbling something on the pad, and then he peeled it off and stuck it on the wall of the monument. The note read, "Kilroy was here." "Uh, don't mind this. I'm just testing something." The monument didn't seem to react to the note, which was interesting, given how it originally reacted to his presence.

"Yes," the Royal Knight said, with a warm, sagely smile and a slow nod of his head, "they can. And I am always glad to help."
Camelot watched the younger man with his head slightly tilted to the side, confused as Paracelsian began writing something down. He frowned thoughtfully, but had patience to spare. Anyway, his curiosity was piqued, and he wondered for a moment if the young man was taking notes about the questions he'd been asking.
Questions Camelot was glad to answer, as it put the right kind of information out there for the Negaverse to hear. A little spark of hope, maybe. At least, that was what Camelot wanted to be able to do, the more he spoke about purification.
He looked at the note, though, and it did nothing to clear his confusion.
"I'd almost forgotten about this thing," Camelot said, slightly amused, as he looked back at the monument. He had more important things on his mind, he supposed, though he imagined this thing would prove itself to be some kind of trouble soon enough.

"I see," Paracelsian mumbled. He couldn't just up and say "Yes, purify me, purify me now, my organization is full of mixed nuts and bolts," as that would be a heap of trouble all its own. The ears of the Negaverse were pretty much everywhere. When Camelot's attention switched back to the monument, Paracelsian gave a low chuckle. "This kind of is the elephant in the room, isn't it?" He found himself yawning absently, then realized there was an odd heaviness to his limbs. "Suddenly, I feel... tired. I wonder if this is what it feels like to be drained. Do you feel like that at all?"

Camelot watched the Negaverse soldier curiously, but let the silence pass for what it was. He wanted to push, but he at least had the information out there, and was hopeful that things would turn out the way that this young man wanted. It would be a shame for someone else to be lost in the name of chaos, be it through dying or by further corruption. If only he could reach them all before Chaos set in too deep. "I wish things like this would stop happening here, but I supposed that's too much to ask. Maybe we should back away from it, if it's making you feel tired." He felt a little off, but he was a much higher rank and thus was granted a lot more magical stamina. "I do know what it is to be drained of energy, though. I've had my fair share of experiences with the Negaverse. Not too fun, really. In any case, I think it might be safer for us to back up a bit."

"The only way to make strange things stop happening in Destiny City would be to take away everyone's powers at the source," Paracelsian muttered, doubting the possibility of such a happening. "In any case, yeah, we should back up. This thing can't be up to any good with us near it." He paused, then added, "Maybe... maybe I should just go home and sleep this off. When I drain someone's energy, I always make sure they're near a spot where they aren't too far from a decent place to rest." He doubted that some of his colleagues offered that courtesy. "I know it probably wouldn't mean much if I apologized for what my colleagues have done to you, but... I'm sorry. They couldn't have been easy on you." Shaking his head, the Lieutenant took a few steps away. "It was good to meet you, Camelot. I'll be keeping an eye out for you. I'm sure that, if this monument starts acting up, we'll be pulled together again." Another few steps away. "Bye for now."

Sami-Fire Fin! Thank you for being patient. Let me know if you want to RP again (and hopefully I will be faster <3333 )
He was pretty sure Painite's motto was 'kill all white moon', and youma just tended to eat them without saying anything at all. He was impressed that the Lieutenant was at least considerate enough to leave people in safe places, and even to offer an apology for the negaverse as a whole.
It gave him hope for the future, in a small way. There was always light, even in the darkest of places. It was just a matter of being determined enough to find it, to follow it, and to face the hardships that came with escaping the darkness. That was why Camelot did what he could to fight for those lost in Chaos, and to offer them a path that might be easier to follow than going it alone.
If they chose, anyway. Hopefully, this young Lieutenant understood that the path was open to him, too.
