Ciel tried to keep an ear out for weird goings on in Destiny City and while things sometimes slipped past her radar it was hard to miss the weird large obelisk that appeared overnight. Ciel waited until the weekend transforming into Hyperborea she planned to investigate.
She made her way to the monument, She made a note that no civilians were in this section of the city. It was strange as if everyone had been driven away by some invisible force.
As she approached the pale stone obelisk she was reminded of some of the monuments she had seen in Hyperborea. However she somehow doubted this was just some ancient statue.
It seemed to be producing some sort of electric field as Hyperborea felt her skin tingle and p***k up at the sensation. In her mind she felt the aura of two senshi heading her way. One aura she knew the other was new.

Tsih was always, or tried to be anyway, aware of the happening in her city. No matter if it was a short while or not, she made an attempt to power up every night and scout parts of the city. So the night that the obelisk appeared in the city, she had noticed it. It seemed everyone had, even those unpowered. While they didn't know why or couldn't explain properly, all activity in that area of the city had come to an abrupt halt. Even in her powered state, venturing close to it was difficult the first few nights, It scared her, caused the hair on her skin to stand, and all around gave a very eerie vibe.
It wasn't something that could be ignored forever though, so she finally found herself venturing closer. That was when she picked up a familiar power signature. As she got closer she spotted Hyperborea, although it was hard to see her this close to the monument, it was reflecting a very strong light and she was squinting in order to see anything around it.
"I had no idea it was so bright. It looks so....plain from a distance." She shaded her eyes with her hands and stood next to Hyperborea. "Do you have any idea what it could be?" Was it some sort of beacon for those powered in the city? After all, it couldn't be seen by any normal person. Something could be trying to reach out to them, but whether it was something good or bad, she couldn't venture a guess.
