Yolie walked along with a porpuse -- there was no stopping it asnd no god, Negaverse agent, nor primordial entity was stopping her from reaching her goal...

Her uncle Vincent's house to see her cousin. The young woman carried a small basket of sweets under an arm; home made snacks ranging from home made mochi and sushi courtesy her youngest sister Alana to cookies by herself and his favorite teas by her other sister... And all the delicious candy and cakes between. While he lacked a BIG sweet tooth, Yolie knew he liked wqhen she made him snacks, and the girl beamed. It was a short walk, but it gave time for her to think in the cool spring evening.

Her cousin was always there to protect her when things were terrifying. When her father had to fight to gain legal custyody, instead of being a mere foster parent because of his connections, her cousin sat with her at all times, offering comfort and safety. When school began, and he found her bullied, he protected her. But he didn't suffer her to be sheltered. Like her father, he helped her learn to protect herself from the myriad of dangers a girl might face growing up. He taught her valuable fighting tricks her father left out; and he taught her how ro be a big sister when she was unsure of how to handle Gaelle and Alana. He was like a brother, rather than a cousin, and Yolie shifted her basket, thinking over her recent advbentures.

She was a Sailor Senshi now. She ran into little trouble, but because of her family, she felt safe enough to reach out to others, and making friends, because if it bombed, she could fight. Becoming Sailor Dubhe, Yolie's eyes were opened up to the world she hadn't seen before... A world of chaos and order, life and death. It was alarming, but she wasn't fearful. She had something to fight for.

The girl stopped by her uncles front door and shut her eyes, listening to the indoors. Though quiet, she knew there were family home, and one hand raised, pressing the button. She was soon greeted by the young eyes and wide smile of her baby cousin, Ceto.

"Hi hi Yolie!" The child greeted. Yolie beamed, snapping a mock salute off to the younger girl proudly.

"Hey Ceto. If your dad or mom home?I know your brother is."

Ceto nodded then, grabbing her hand.

"Uh huh, uncle called and said you brought Big Broither some yummies and so we were waiting and he's been ick all day. Are they good yummies?" Ceto turned, Yolie winking.

"Only home made for my family. But yeah I have sushi that might risk being too warm soon." Yolie motioned, and Ceto squealed, running and leaving her in the foyer. She was fine, watching the study before a tall man emerged, long platinum blond hair draping down his shoulders as he approached and turned a pale gaze on his neice before smiling calmly, walking over.

"He's been eager for your visit, neice." Vincent drawled softly, kissing his niece's forehead in a fatherly gesture of affection. He'd been friends with her father since their schoolboy days, and seeing him date his sister and their ladyfriend brought joy -- joy he taught his neice young. Love was to be celebrated, not shunned.

"Is he awake, uncle?" Yolie asked. The man shook his head, and smiled, rubbing her back.

"No, but I suspect he will again soon. This flu is unkind, but he is, as he ever is, stubborn as ever child." He hummed then, guiding her to the kitchen, and Yolie entered, placingthe basket on a counter before moving the sushi to the refridhgerator, earning a chuckle from Vincent.

"Asian? Again? Dear, Alana has his number memorized, hasn't she?"

Yolie chuckled, nodding as she looked over.

"We all worked together on these. I made the chocolates and baked with Gaelle!" Yolie puffed proudly, and Vincent nodded, motioning for her to pour some coffee as he sat, the girl merrily obeying, and he motioned.

"Now, dear, how was Easter? Our uncle will visit late for holiday, and he'll want to know it all. I dare believe he's bringing his youngest to town as well, to meet her mother and cousins. So please, tell me everything."

Yolie blinked at the news, but lit up. Her uncle and great uncle were close in age -- a last son by her great grandfather before he passed and a boy he never knew. They were close in age but struggled to get along for years, until recently. Her uncle was wearing down and while aromantic, he was growing lonely. His older sons all joined the militqary, and all passed on in warzones, leaving his youngest and the son of a man whom looked after her - a boy he positively doted on after the man passed. But Yolie liked him and he tried for his great neices and nephews, so Vincent tried too. It was... Uneasy. Yolie hummed, wondering how he'd feel about hjer role as Sailor Dubhe, and decided not to ask -- it was her secret.

"Is he? I'm surprised, uncle." Yolie blinked. "Is she rteally readuy?"

"She needs and deserves to know. So do her siblings." He motioned. "You'll look after your uncle, will you not? He's been eager to see you, and your sisters."

"Of course. Er, why?" Yolie blinked, catching the tone, and Vincent sighed.

"Because the man was recently very ill, and will be staying a while. I need tyo trust you, Yolanda. May I?"

"Of course, Uncle." Yolie blinked, and Vincent smiled, pausing and looking up.

"And it seems your cousin is waking in a foul mood. Perhaps he needs his treats."

Yolanda laughed, and nodde3d.,

"Yes, yes I guess so. I'll be with him, uncle." Yolie motioned, Vincent nodding as she walked, gathering the barely-chilling sushi to take upstairs, and hummed. Her great uncle's care... She was surprised, but she'd do it, and still serve as Sauilor Dubhe.

Her family was what she was fighting for.
