EARLY CHILDHOOD Andraste was born the eldest daughter to Balor and Yennefer Ó'Shea and was originally going to be Heir to the family. Unlike most old pureblood families, the Ó'Shea family didn’t care if their Heir was male or female as long as they would do right by the family. From a young age Andy was taught to suppress or mask her emotions, people should not be able to read the Heir to the Ó'Shea family, it was unheard of. This training was challenging for such a young child but she did as well as she could, not wanting to disappoint her parents. At age 5, the next step in her training was taken and Andraste was introduced to her a tradition that had been in her family for years, the act of wearing a blindfold at all times. It started many generations prior when the family became renowned in the fencing world, it was a way to keep their emotions and moves from being read through their eyes and with enough use it would enhance their other senses, it also pared well for her being the Heir of the family and would keep her under the guise of being undaunted by her surroundings. This was also when she started being trained in the art of Fencing. Of course as a child, Andy didn’t question it and did as she was told. It took a year or so for Andy to get used to the item, she would run into people less and got more comfortable being unable to see overall. At age 7, her mother gave birth to a set of twins, Brigid and Shannon. Andy was overjoyed at being an elder sister and wanted to do what was best for her younger siblings. One day when she was about 8 and the twins were 1 she was playing with them on a the bed in her room, making the children smile and laugh when Shannon began to fall off of the bed. She was a little too far away to grab him as he fell and simply let out a cry, extending her hand. In her fear her magic reacted and the baby simply bounced lightly, unharmed as it hit the ground. She immediately took her siblings so that she could inform her parents of this occurrence.
SCHOOL YEARS Because of how she was raised, Andy wasn’t the most social child. She much prefered to keep to herself or simply make polite small talk. Because of this she didn’t really have anyone to call friend in her early years of schooling. Sure she had a few acquaintances but not much more, like her roommate Kimberly Leon and her friend Rory but that was about it. During the summer of her second year of schooling, Andy stumbled upon her younger sister Brigid in the backyard of the family home with a small pile of dead little animals, squirrels, rodents, many different things. The sight shocked her but she didn’t confront her sister about the sight and didn’t tell their parents either. She didn’t want Brigid to get in trouble. But...it did worry her a lot and because of this she started keeping a closer eye on her younger sister whenever she would come home. She began to open up more during her 3rd year and even made friends with Kimi and Rory. It was nice to have people she felt close to that weren’t her siblings. Things with Brigid continued to get stranger everytime Andy would return from school. Things were going pretty well for Andy at this point.
Then during the summer before her 5th year, Andy noticed Brigid acting strange around Shannon. She was more fidgety and almost erratic when she was around her twin. The 15 year old decided to investigate herself rather than get her parents involved. So one night while the family slept, Andy took her wand (incase her sister had anything locked that she might need to get into. She knew she would get in trouble for doing magic outside of school but she didn’t think to much on it at this point.) and snuck her way into her younger sister’s room but surprisingly did not find Brigid in the room. She began to panic because of this, and because of the previous behavior her sister had shown it made her suspicious. So she quickly made her way to Shannon’s room, only to find her younger sister almost towering over Shannon, with what looked like a knife to the sleeping Shannon’s neck. Instinctively, Andy pulled out her wand and cast Flipendo to throw her sister away from him in order to protect him. Unfortunately the spell caused Brigid to slam into the corner of Shannon’s wardrobe, snapping the young girl’s neck during the impact and thus ending her life. The shout of the spell caused Shannon to waken, and when he noticed his twin rag dolled and dead on the ground, he lost all sense. In the next instance, Andy was on the ground with 8 year old Shannon’s hands wrapped around her neck with him screaming about her killing for taking his beloved sister away from him and how he could only forgive her if she were dead as well. Andy was in a state of shock, she had not meant to hurt Brigid, she had only wanted to protect Shannon. She barely tried to fight his grip even as she was rapidly losing air. She barely remembers her father ripping Shannon away from her and knocking the boy unconscious and the rest of the night continued to be a blur. She remembers her father telling her what her story should be if she were ever questioned by anyone and that her father obliviated Shannon’s memories of the night. The night ended with Her father, mother, and herself knowing of her guilt and no one else. As the summer progressed, she kept herself away from Shannon as the guilt continued to eat at her. She hated herself for what she did and she did want to be there for her younger brother but anytime she saw him she flashed back to that night, Brigid’s body broken on the floor and Shannon’s screams with his wish for her to follow in Brigid’s footsteps. She thought it was wrong that her father had obliviated Shannon’s memories, she felt deserved to be hated for what she did, especially by her younger brother. Before she returned to school that year, she stepped down as Heir of the family, she felt that it wasn’t right for her to continue to be the Heir of a family when she no longer sided with their practices. She felt no one should be blind to the truth.
Her 5th year was the first time ever that she went to school without her blindfold. She vowed never to wear it again. Much to her parent’s displeasure. This year she also dropped out of the Fencing club and joined the Art club. Though she seemed to almost regress into herself, becoming more standoffish than she had been before that year. It didn’t last long before Rory and Kimi called out on her recent actions and in the end she confided in them about what happened with Brigid. Later during the year when Andy was taking her O.W.Ls she had a breakdown during her DADA practical when her Boggart turned into the dead body of her younger sister.
Her final years of schooling went by without much issue, and after her 6th year she bought herself a Bernese Mountain Dog that she named Fenris. Her parents were not pleased at the large dog and even threatened to get rid of it while she was at Hogwarts for her final year. Shannon stood up for her and the dog though, telling his parents that Fenris made Andy happy and she acted like she did when they were kids when Fenris was around.This only succeeded in making Andy feel that old ever lingering guilt once again.
POST-GRADUATION Andy is currently living in the Three Broomsticks, using money she took from her family vault, and is trying to get a job at The Magical Menagerie.

TRAIT Compassionate Despite the training that Shannon was raised in, he does have a rather big heart. He likes seeing people he cares about happy, which is why his sister’s sudden mood switch around him hurts him so much.
TRAIT Organized Shannon likes to keep things neat, not liking when even the slightest thing can be out of place. He keeps his room and belongings in a strict order to avoid disorganization.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Shannon was born the youngest child of Balor and Yennefer Ó'Shea, and younger twin to Brigid Ó'Shea. Despite not being raised to be the Heir of his family, he was taught the same emotional suppression that his elder sister was taught when she was a child. Their father always that an Ó'Shea never showed emotional weakness to others. He didn’t really like it but he got to be fairly good at it, thanks to the help from his sisters who both excelled in the techniques. At age 5, just like his eldest sister he was given a blindfold and began to be taught the ways of fencing, which signified him starting the next step in his training. Shannon loved fencing but he hated the blindfold, he didn’t understand why he had to hide his eyes in such a way, but he didn’t dare to not wear it, he had seen Brigid get in enough trouble for that and he didn’t want to go through the same punishments she had. Around this time Brigid seemed to be distancing herself from her brother, which deeply upset Shannon. Only being 5, his sister was his favorite person, after all she was his twin! At age 7 his twin sister Brigid, began showing her first signs of magic after she set fire to a small squirrel outside of their house. Shannon was pretty upset that he had yet to show his own signs of magic. At age 9 during the summer before his eldest sister’s 5th year at Hogwarts he was woken in the middle of the night be the loud shout of a spell. In his room were both of his sisters, Andraste with a wand in her hands and a horrified look on her face, and Brigid whose body lay ragdolled on the other side of his room. In horror he lost all sense and ended up showing his first signs of magic, throwing his sister across the room before running over to her and wrapping his hands around her neck fully intent on paying her back for what he assumed she had done to Brigid. He screamed and shouted that he would only forgive her if she were dead. Before he could follow through, he was ripped off of his sister by their father and knocked unconscious. Which gave his father the chance to obliviate the boy’s memories of that night.
Shannon mourned for the loss of his sister, who had passed on in her sleep, being as young as he was the boy didn’t question it. He missed his sister, it was like a part of him was missing now that his twin was dead. To make matters worse, Andy seemed to want nothing to do with him. She would rarely speak to him ever since Brigid died. He felt like he had lost the only people close to him. Before the summer ended he was titled Heir of the Ó'Shea family. His parents ignored him when he asked why Andy was no longer the Heir, and simply began training the boy in her stead.
Over the two years that passed Shannon continued to work to become a proper Heir to his family. He did notice his eldest sister’s lack of Blindfold but never questioned her on it, he knew she wouldn’t answer him anyway, no one ever did. During the summer before Andy’s 7th year when she got Fenris, Shannon noticed that she smiled more around the dog and that he made her act like she did when they were little. He missed that, he missed his sisters, but even at this young age he knew he wasn’t going to be getting either of them back. So when his parents threatened to get rid of Fenris because of their dislike for dogs, he defended the dog and Andy, mentioning his recent observation.
