Torva found himself starring at a pair of cute, chubby creatures that were standing there in front of him. It was a pair of duruf, which had him making a happy sound in his throat, "Oh man... aren't the two of you the most adorable things that I've ever seen! Ah! Other then Svana and Eayolin of course." He didn't want to upset his two loyal pets after all since he loved them so much. The little pups were cute though, weren't they? He found himself wanting nothing more then to scoop them up and give them big hugs! He bet it would be amazing to scoop them up and nuzzle against those fluffy manes of theirs, huh? He wanted to do that so bad right now!
Taking a step toward the pair, reaching out his hands, and tried to pet them... only to watch as the two of them took a couple steps back away from him, just out of reach of his petting attempts. He blinked a couple times before giving a little pout as they did so. Well now that hadn't really been expected. Here he'd thought that it would be easy to make friends with the tiny little dogs. Here he'd thought that maybe it would be easy to make friends with them.
Squatting down he then shuffled a bit closer, reaching out again, giving the two a friendly smile, "Awww, come on! I bet that we could be really good friends if we tried! How about it?" He was sure that some cute dogs like that would be really popular with the troupe, especially the younglings of the group. They always loved when he let them play with Svana and Eayolin so he was sure that some puppies would be really popular with them as well. The problem being that the pair didn't really seem all that terribly interested in him making friends with them. If they came back with him then they would end up spoiled little beasts by the various people of the troupe but it was a matter of actually getting the two to come along with him.
Hopping up to his feet he started forward, following along after the pair that were walking along. They didn't run away as he fell into step alongside them but they did seem to be staying just a step ahead of him. Giving a little chuckle he said, "I have some treats that you can have if you want to come back with me." The seemed to get their attention for a moment as the two of them turned around to look up at him, eyes wide, tails wagging behind them. He couldn't help but to laugh a bit as realized that like always it was food that seemed to catch the attention of the beasts that he wanted to make friends with. Giving a smile he set to digging into his pockets and said, "I have the best treats so don't worry! I think you'll find it worth it and totally want to come home with me."

Torva sat down on the ground in front of the pair of duruf, taking out a small bag of treats that were normally meant for the two beasts that followed him around. The treats were made of dried bits of meat that got both Svana and Eayolin to do all manner of tricks. It would appear as though the same might be able to be said about the duruf as well because it seemed as though he had their full attention at the moment. He gave a smile as he took out a treat, tossing a piece to one of the duruf, then got another piece to toss to the other.
He went back and forth between the pair, tossing them the treats, trying to keep their attention and make friends with them. He wondered how many tricks a duruf could learn. Would they be something that would be able to be part of the show? Or were they more a pet that was fun to just play with on your own time? Once he thought that he might have won them over he reached out a hand to attempt to pet one of them again. One of them gave a displeased 'wuff' sound before it backed up a few steps, not allowing him to pet it. The other one seemed to deal with the attention because its eyes were locked on the bag of treats. Just the fact that he was able to give it a little pet it had him smiling brightly, "Awww! You really are the cutest little thing, aren't you?" He said, completely enthralled by the little duruf.
Of course just as he was distracted with petting it the little canine suddenly lunged forward, catching hold of the bag of treats, and started to shake the back from side to side in a manner that scattered treats in all directions. Torva gave a sound of surprise as the two duruf then went to work gobbling up the treats that were all over the place... and were soon joined by a few other random beasts as well that had been hanging out watching the proceedings. It was a feast of treats that left Torva with an empty bag that was going to need to be refilled before he went home that was for sure. If his two pets knew that he'd let the stray duruf steal everything they were likely to be quite displeased with him he thought to himself with a big of a shake of his head.
Getting up to his feet he said, "That was pretty sneaky of you, little one. I have to say that I am kind of impressed though, I definitely didn't see that coming." Something that had him chuckling a bit as he brushed himself off. Well, live and learn he thought to himself. Tucking the empty bag back into his pocket he said to the duruf that were presently licking their muzzles and looking quite pleased with themselves, "Well, I am out of treats so I should probably go and pick up some more of them."

Torva started toward where he knew that he could buy some of the dried meat that he used as treats for his pets, wanting to get a refill before he returned home. He knew that if he came back empty handed that his pets would be a bit disappointed in him. At least they wouldn't be able to know how he'd run out though he thought to himself with a bit of a chuckle. So long as they didn't find out that he lost all the treats to the world's sneakiest duruf. He wouldn't let the twins know either or else they would likely try to hire on said duruf to aid them in their own shenanigans. The last thing those two needed was such a useful helper when it came to getting into trouble. They were still on probation after the whole dye incident after all.
Shaking his head he continued forward for a while, stopping at the stand, and saw about getting a refill of his pets' treats of choice. It was as he was paying that the girl behind the counter said, "That's an adorable duruf you have there, what's it's name?" A question that had Torva starring at her in confusion before he turned to look over his shoulder spotting the stout dog that was sitting at his feet, starring at the bag of treats that he was once again holding.
After a moment he gave a chuckle and said, "Just got it, so I still need to figure out a name." It seemed that the little dog had decided to tag along with him of its own accord, meaning that he would now have to figure out a name for it... as well as likely share more treats since that was why he was there with him, because it wanted more. Giving a little smile he leaned over, scooping the beast up in one arm, and said, "I will give you more treats once we get back." A statement that was echoed by a little 'wuff' sound, as though the dog was agreeing to those terms, anything to get another snack!
