DUSK'S DAWN
A lounge/night club in the city. Found on the top two floors and rooftop of one of the many skyscrapers of the city. Only open at night, the first floor serves as a lounge. There's usually soft live music playing here while people relax and enjoy themselves, have some dinner, etc. There is, of course, a bar on one side of the room, and this area is decorated with reds, golds, and browns. The next floor up is an open nightclub, accesible from a staircase from the lounge or the elevator of the building. There is a stage for live music or a dj, dance floor, and bar here. This room is decorated with blues, blacks, and purples and is normally aglow with all sorts of specialty lights. The rooftop is for pricate events only and can be rented out for such. It's usually lit with illusion magic, great for setting the mood, and is generally decorated with black, silver, and white.

The night was young, yet there were already so many on the dancefloor, races of all kinds dancing to the lively, thumping music the DJ for the night was mixing. Others lounged at the bar, sipping on beverages and talking to their companions, some keeping to themselves. 'Now this is the kind of view I like to see~' The succubus giggles as she walked to the bar, wings folding up behind her. With every step, her hips swayed, a sweet smile playing on her lips. She could feel the stares of those around her, and she revelled in the thought that she had their attention. Tonight, she's going to unwind and just let everything go. After The Moment, Shiori was so damn stressed. She'd been strolling through Eldrin, having just finished a job and collecting her reward, and she was about to get this cute guy she was chatting with on her phone to accompany her for the night when an explosion of light traveled through the city. Next thing she knew, there were unbelonging people running around like chicken's who got their heads cut off, and it was just pure hell. Finally, she could take a break.
She sat down on one of the bar stools, waving to the bartender who easily recognized her. "Well, haven't seen your face around lately. No date for tonight?" Shiori sighed sadly, a pout forming on her lips. "No dice, dear. Couldn't get back into contact with that cute elf from before. Oh well, one Devil's Kiss, please." The bartender nodded, going on ahead to make her drink. It was her favorite, one she reserved when she was feeling particularly blue. Sweet, fruity, with a slight tinge of sourness at the end. She turned in her seat, leaning on the bar as her eyes roamed the crowd. A small smile played on her lips as she caught a dark elf lady eyeing her, sending a wink her way. Hehehehe... I hope my sister will not run into anymore trouble, but... considering her nature, it may be inevitable. Better hope that she'll be back home in one piece, at least.
That thought was in Natalie's head as she chanced upon that nightclub, indicated by that flashing neon signage, the kaleidoscope of colors catching her eye. She had been informed by her sister this morning that she would go out job hunting again, though so far, there was no dice; Victoria had been a walking verbal disaster no matter where they would go. That one aside, Natalie was just done modeling for a magazine while Victoria was away, her clothing being a bit too provocative with the slit of her dress revealing the inch of her hip that was close to her thighs, together with the neckline that was a bit too deep, revealing the bridge of her bosoms. But that was the theme of the photo shoot, sexy and vulnerable. The photographer had praised her for what she did; it may be due to the family's good looks, but it was mostly her effort that made it a success.
Truly, Natalie deserved some time to have fun, though the knight was wearing one of her casual outfits at this moment. She had to show the bouncer the ID since there would be alcoholic drinks and it was mainly prohibited for minors to have a taste of them. Other than that, it was a smooth entrance, the booming of the music pounding on her ears. While dancing was fun and all, it was the drinks that caught her interest the most. Perhaps there would be some that hit well with her preference with sweets? She could only find out as she sat down on an empty stool, putting her small purse on the counter, noticing someone beside her with a small glance but she was then talking to the bartender, mainly because the gunslinger was asking for recommendations for sweet alcoholic drinks that were the bestsellers.
"Good evening, sir. Any drinks that are the signature focus for this club? Maybe something fruity and delectable, along those lines."

With a smile she takes it, taking a small sip. With a contented sigh, she continues to survey the area. From the corner of her eye, she saw someone step forward. 'A new arrival, and a cute one at that.' Bright, blonde hair, sexy figure, and a dress that compliments her body well. Shiori's electric blue eyes danced with curiosity as they followed the female as she sat down on the stool next to hers. Unnatural beauty, almost rivaling that of the divine beings. An Aasimar, perhaps? The smile that decorated the succubus's lips became wider as she heard the female asking for recommendations.
"Ah, a fellow lover of sweets? Well, the Devil's Kiss is my favorite drink here," She tilts her drink slightly in recognition, "but if that's not to your taste, I'd say Sweet Paradise is a close one. It's less tangy, and fruitier than most of the sweet drinks here." She smiled apologetically at the bartender for stealing his job, but then again this is how she usually worked. She returned her gaze to the female, playfully smiling, "My name is Shiori. Natalie's eyes were on the line of bottles on display, containing the spirits and beverages that would become the ingredients for the drinks available for serving. The female beside her was the one replying to her question, and the gunslinger's eyes were trained on her. Fair white hair, crystal blue eyes, the voluptuous figure even with the outfit she was wearing. While Natalie was an Aasimar, the stranger was a demon, but not just any other demon. A succubus perhaps? She had chanced upon the existence of such kind through the books she and Victoria had read during the homeschooling sessions, though the redhead was complaining a bit too much. That thought aside, however, she let out a giggle. "Ah, that's a good suggestion. Maybe I should try both!" With that, she called out the bartender to have a shot of both variations.
The demon then identified herself as Shiori, and being the civil woman that the musketeer was, she was happy to oblige with the introduction. "Call me Natalie, Shiori. And that's a cute outfit you got here. Blending well with your hair," she spoke. Because she was a fashion enthusiast, complimenting about outfits had become some sort of a hobby for her, as long as people were okay with it and not being uncomfortable. Since the drinks would take a while, Nat should at least continue on with the conversation. "So what kind of demon are you, anyway?"

She took note of the absence of reaction to her calling the Aasimar a pretty lady. 'Dense, straight, or immune to compliments? Mm, I guess I better not push it?' The succubus's tail deflated slightly at that, but oh well. She giggled, setting her half-full glass down. My, I didn't expect you'd try both. You're an interesting character, Natalie." She tilted her head to emphasize her point, her smile ever present and gaze unreadable.
She turned her body fully toward Natalie, interest piqued. "Thank you for the compliment! Unfortunately, I lost some of my luggage so I'm stuck with this outfit for now." Shiori giggles, not at all bothered. "You've got a nice dress yourself. It really enhances your beauty." Her tail picked up again, swishing in curiosity as their conversation continued. "Ah, I'm a succubus." She smiled, taking a sip from her drink again. Did she really not look the part? 'Ouch, kind of a blow on my pride.' She decided to throw in her own questions, mostly to satiate her curiosity. "So, if I'm correct you are an Aasimar and straight? Correct me if I'm wrong~" She giggled. "Eh? That's definitely unfortunate for you, really," Natalie commented, eyes dilating in wonder and surprise, at Shiori losing her luggage. Maybe they have have been stranded somewhere and could not be retrieved sooner, or there was the limit on how much people can carry when traveling. Airline companies do charge extra for the excess luggage that was beyond the limit, and it would be a nuisance for people wanting to travel on a budget unless they were willing to pack light. The blond let out a giggle at the compliment about the dress. "Thanks. Actually bought my outfit from a department store. I can afford the more ornate ones, but it depends on my mood, really." There was still a limit on how much she could buy, however; her closet would be overloaded with outfits and it would be a hassle if it wasn't for her self-restraint.
Since Shiori mentioned that she was a succubus, Natalie's eyes brightened in curiosity."Aaaahhh~ Just like in those books that are part of my lessons, but I guess you are one of a kind." She nodded in response to the inquiry about her race and sexuality. "Yep, Aasimar, and totally straight. Though my sister is also of the same race, but actually a bisexual. Though she can be quite a handful when it comes to her attitude. Much an obscene verbal cannon if you ask me." The drinks were then placed on the table and she gave the bartender a word of thanks before trying out Sweets Paradise, the sip being slow and steady. The taste enveloped her mouth and the musketeer felt the buzz thanks to the alcohol mixed in.
"I have to say, this is really impressive," the blond commented about the drink. She then took another sip because she was starting to appreciating the taste.

"Oh well, what's done is done. I'm still on the hunt for new outfits though, so if you've got any ideas in mind I'd love to hear them!" Although she had no clue what kind of job Natalie has, she knew for a fact that the girl knows more about fashion than her at least. She hummed as the girl said her next piece, intrigued by her words. "Ooh~ I know how that feels! Sometimes you feel like wearing something cute, other times you feel like wearing something comfortable. Ah, I'm so glad I met you~" Shiori said, enacting a dramatic pose as her fist moved to wipe away imaginary tears while her other hand clutched at her chest, seemingly moved. She laughed, finding herself silly while sitting back normally.
She blinked, her tail once again swishing curiously, "One of a kind, you say?" Hm, that's unexpected. The blank look on her face was immediately wiped off as Natalie answered her question, a wide smile appearing on her face. "Hmhm, I knew it~ I've met with a lot of people for a lot of things, so it's in my nature now to pick up on these things." She laughed as Natalie mentioned her sister and started describing her as an obscene verbal cannon, in her words. "Seems like she is quite the character!" She wondered how an encounter with the girl would go, but her train of thought was quickly interrupted as the drinks arrived.
Shiori watched as Natalie picked up one of the glass, the liquid reflecting the pulsating lights as she held it to her lips. After finding that she grew a liking to it, the succubus smiled. "I knew you would like it!" She could feel her pride swell a bit, happy to see someone else who favored the drink as much as she did. Not many found sweet alcoholic drinks as a choice for the bar. Natalie let out a sheepish chuckle at Shiori's interest at her sister. "Also having a huge temper. Many people can't stand her, really, and that's why her chance in being hired for jobs or expeditions is quite slim. Glad to know that you are willing to give her a chance. Gotta see once you meet her personally, though. Currently job searching right at this moment." While she appreciated Victoria's instinct at times, the direction would always be a bit too off the rails, which was something undesirable for those who wanted the quest to be a huge success without a single chance of failure. Natalie was just one of the many people who have to clean up the mess, as long as people wouldn't call her sister a weakling or just useless in general. Seriously, there was just more to the surface than just Victoria's flaring temper and a knack for trouble; it would just take a right person to see beyond that.
The blond let out a huge grin at being called one of Shiori's favorite people, and she replied to the question about sweets. "The baked goods and desserts as finisher for the meals are usually the one catching my eye, but mango mousse is my most favorite overall. The tartness and the sweetness hitting my mouth... I just can't enough of it. It all depends on what type of mangoes the pastry chefs are using for such a creation." Everyone had their own style in desserts; some may be better than the others, but she was mostly chill with that belief, unless there was the spicy hint. Spicy food was one thing that Natalie disliked the most.
The gunner then finished the drink, having to take a small reprieve before trying out the other one. "How about you, though? Any sweet treat that tickles your fancy the most?" she questioned as the music transitioned, the tunes mellowing out a bit with the piano keys included.

"Ah~ Most people can't seem to be bothered to get to know someone past the surface. Such a shame, really." The succubus relaxed, giggling as she spoke. "I hope I can run into your sister, doesn't hurt to know more people around these parts." She was interested in the girl's personality, but also in what she could do. 'I wonder what kind of knight she is~'
Shiori let out a curious hum as Natalie answered her question, "Ooh~ That's a good description of mango mousse! I have to agree with you there, it can be quite addicting." The music tone down to a more mellow jazz as everyone winded down. Shiori hummed along to the melody, listening to the blond as she asked her a question. Resting her chin on her hand, Shiori thought for a bit before giving her reply, "I have to say, I'm weak for strawberry shortcakes. The fluffy cream is always a delight, and I especially love it when the strawberries are chilled first! It's such a great contrast to the shortcake." Natalie's expression didn't change much when Shiori was looking forward to meeting up with her sister, "She does have a great constitution and agility, which kinda makes up for the attitude problem she's having with people. Swordsmanship is her main skill while I'm a musketeer myself. It's true that I always go on expeditions with my sister; I hope that she can be of good use to you as well, though Victoria and I are both knights in actuality." Besides, Vicky could definitely use a few more acquaintances the way, the potential friends who could see her capacity in battle even with the massive flaw she was having. It was then that Shori mentioned about the strawberry shortcake and she hummed in delight.
"That shortcake is also nice for me. I heard that it's quite a good hit to the folks who are living on Earth. Good thing even our world has adapted to the sweets offered to other places," she rambled on. It was also something that she studied alongside her sister, having to understand the culture and lifestyle of Earthlings. There was still a lot more to go considering that their scope of expeditions was on a limited scale so far. They had yet to travel to Japan themselves for the full package, but that experience would be saved for the future once they could afford the fares. "Perhaps, I wanna try more flavors of the European shortbread cookies. The ones I tasted so far are chocolate and citrus."
Natalie then tried out the other drink and the buzz intensified a bit more. It was just so good."Mmmm... Even this can hit the spot, too," she commented. The piano keys continued on as the taste continued to hit her mouth, cloaking the orifice with its essence.

Shiori repeated, eyes wide and mouth in the shape of an 'o'. After shaking of her shock, she pointed to herself and smiled happily, "I'm a knight too! I use gauntlets that have these retractable claws built in, so I'm pretty agile myself~ I take great pride in being fast, it's fun surprising my opponents!" She laughed lightly, recalling such times. Her opponents always looked stupefied when she suddenly strikes at them without them noticing her approach. "I do hope we can all go on an expedition sometime, I'd love to see you two in action!" Her smile never faltered, calling the bartender for another shot.
Shiori nodded, pouting slightly, "Indeed. Though I love the sweets, the Earthlings I've met so far are quite rude! Tugging my wings and tail like that, they certainly don't mind getting into my personal space!" The succubus let out a "hmph," recounting her experiences with those from Earth so far. "Though some of them are alright, I suppose..."
Shiori tilted her head to the side, obviously curious by what the musketeer had said. "Shortbread cookies? Hm, they sound interesting." She tried to imagine what they look like, her gaze traveling upward in wonder. The succubus, admittedly, had yet to be exposed to Earthling culture. She was wary and a bit reluctant to delve into their lifestyle, something she had picked up from growing up in Yuki no Okoku, though she was well accustomed to their technology by now. Her train of thought was interrupted as Natalie commented on the other drink, the smile returning to her face. "I'm glad you like the drinks I recommended! The blond let out a small surprised gasp at Shiori's weapon of choice. "Only saw a few people wielding gauntlets all my life. Yours was the first to hear such design," she commented. It may be due to the blacksmith's craftsmanship, something bestowed from generation to generation or it was an armament that someone had obtained through expeditions. Natalie could only guess where Shiori had gotten them. When the succubus rambled on the demeanor of the Earthlings who meddled a bit too much with her features, the musketeer had the urge to giggle, but she just managed a sheepish smile to avoid being too rude to her. "Well, not all Earthlings are aware of the true nature of the other races. Hoping that they'll come to a mutual understanding soon enough." The last thing that she wanted was to see such species orchestrating something major against any of the other races that weren't totally in human form.
That one aside, Natalie was truly happy that she had met Shiori here at this nightclub. The music transitioned once again as she finished the drink, the beat pounding close to her ears and suitable for dancing. "Hey, maybe we should dance? Or do you have something else in mind after having fun in this club?" she asked. Two shots was all she could manage for tonight, but first, the bartender was asking for the payment of the drinks. At that, Natalie reached for her wallet so that she would begin settling the bill.

This blacksmith owed me after I helped him out with some materials, so he let me use one of his prototypes. They were actually plans that his father passed down to him, and he decided to combine some of them as a sort of experiment." She smiled brightly, making her seem childlike. She hummed at what Natalie said, a sigh following it. "As long as they don't get in our way, I think it'll be just fine." Well, not that she minded kicking a few rude Earthling butts, but she had a feeling Natalie might not agree with that.
The melodic tune had transitioned again, once more an energetic beat. Shiori nodded to the beat, watching as the dancers from before crowded at the dance floor again, their bodies moving to the beat. She turned to Natalie as the blond asked about her plans for the night. She thought for a minute, then replied, "Sure, let's dance. It does seem pretty fun~" She'd never tried dancing before, but she would like to do something with her new friend at least. This would be a good experience. The bartender came with her shot, which she quickly downed in anticipation of the dance. Seeing Natalie reach for her wallet, Shiori waved her hand. "Hey, this one is on me~ You made my night tons better, so I'll pay for the both of us." She reached into her pocket and pulled out her money, sliding the exact amount over along with a tip and a wink. "Thanks as always~ Now then, let's go dancing!" She exclaimed, hooking her arm around the blond's as she led the both of them to the dance floor. ♛ ooc //

"Hmmm.... Fair enough. Mine's given to me from my mom. Some sort of a gift to me to start on the journey with my sister," she replied. Victoria's weapon was also bestowed in a similar fashion. Now that the talk was over, together with Shiori generously paying for the drinks, which Natalie wouldn't mind though a bit too reluctantly, it was time for them to dance. Natalie was a bit more coordinated with the dance lessons compared to Victoria, so she may know a thing or two about the moves, but she was no elite compared to the entertainers. The grip on the arm was secure as she was led to the dance floor, ready to party the night away until she would have to head home and catch up with her sister.
Her hips were gyrating a bit as she moved, hands up in the air. The music intensified in her ears and she was in sync with the beat. The movements were simple yet soul-laden, and there were a few people who watched the scenery unfold. Once the music ended, there were a few individuals clapping at the sight; it wasn't everyday that they would get to see something like that. And Natalie was panting a bit after the little show, mainly because it was considered a form of exercise for her.
