Although a newer page, Nastrond awakened knowing one thing. There were monsters out there, kids got stuck fighting them, and now? Now monsters were in need to learn fear.Perhjaps that was more than one thing -- but it was what Nastrond felt strongly -- there was war and others with power, and while unsure of how her magic worked, she could power up into Nastrond reliably, and today was one day -- because there was no work to be done on Big Bear for rallies, because Rhian was at school, and because Jessie wanted to ******** hunt monsters to kill.Admittedly the reason was morbid, but awakening with Owen nearby was a lesson in itself in caution, and given monsters felt little for others, meaning she had living targets to take her rage out on. Rage -- because her Daddy was so desperately hurt by terrorism. Fury for her little sisters being taken when the government thought her Daddy was dangerous... And incorrect assumptiuon, and wrath for the beasts necessitating the inclusion of children. It was a war she hoped her father never learned of -- that his careful lessons to protect herself were to be honed, polished into a blade, and used to protect, because if he knew... If he knerw... Gods, he might try to fight without magic and if she lost her paqrents... Chaos would know fear.So, Nastrond walked the sidewalk cheerfully and kept her eyes open, happily fibbing at a passersby about some toga party or somesuch, and she hummed. TYoday. Today was a good day for a gihht.

Toby had found himself with a bit of spare time one fine afternoon, and so did the one thing that he always did with a bit of free time and nobody watching him too closely--powered up and went rooftop-jumping. It was a rush, of course, but also always good to practice. It was while he was doing that that Nix noticed the aura of someone walking through the streets, powered up. He wasn't quite so bold as her about walking about in the open, so hopped along for a bit until a good opportunity to drop down and say hello (someone so bold as to do that just had to be talked to, Nix reasoned). "Hey there!" he greeted cheerily, waving a green hand after dropping down nearby. "Whatcha doin', walking around in the open like that?" He glanced around, an almost conspiratorial grin crossing his face briefly. "Hoping to...get someone to follow after ya?" NovaCracker Sorry about the delay there! Should be faster now...when I'm actually caught up I do my best to reply the same day I get tagged~

Tolin Kalin No worries! And sorry, J3essue here ius just. So. Horrible. About liking combat. Nastrond glanced at the senshi when he spoke, taking in his appearance rapidly before calming/. His aura was a bit different from Almary's but not in a bad sort and nothing like a youma, so she wagered based on that and his get up he was a senshi, and the woman motioned idly, grinning with the expression of one scarily comfortable with where they were. "Possibly. No harm hoping to put a face to the enemy's names, though, am I right?" Nastrond drawled. Her eyes practically danced at the idea, and she shifted, motioning. "Tell people this is a costume party thing otherwise but hey, gotta patrol, and I'm not really scared of running into s**t. Dad kind of got self protection skills hammered in my skull as a wee midget." She motioned, then bowed. "I'm Nastrond, by the way., You?"

Nix's eyebrows raised slightly at the talk of hammering into wee midget skulls, but otherwise was grinning. "The name's Nix, I'm the Senshi of Frogs," he told her, and put his fits on his hips for a moment in a very stereotypical superhero pose. He knew it was silly, and didn't care. "Nice to meet you, Nastrond," he said after his requisite dramatic pose. "I was just thinking about training a bit, ya see, and usually I stick to jumping between buildings instead of walking down the street! More fun to me." He reflected briefly that some of the other senshis and knights likely did not like his tendency to view these things as fun, but if he was being honest with himself, he'd probably go completely nuts if he couldn't have fun with it. "You can join me, if you want!" he suggested abruptly. "I try to get other senshis to come train with me a lot--and a bunch do--but it's harder for me to talk to knights about it!" He bounced around on his froggy feet in anticipation already. "Always good to see more magic types and fighting styles, right?" NovaCracker Misplaced your tag for a bit there. D: Sorry~

"Oh, kinda like Almary!" Nastrond grinned, thinking of the clever chibi senshi and nodding before motioning. "Can't say I know other knights, but fighting is kinda my thing sometimes." She laughed then, a heartuy amused sort of laugh. "Got into scraps a lot in high school. Y'know how it goes. Had a good lesson in scrapping from my old man a few times though. Would be more than happy to show ya. Train a bit. You guys all use magic?" The page motioned then before holding up her discus with a bright, eager grin. "I just have this lovely little frisbee or whatever. Seems to be of use!"

“Oh, a frisbee, cool!” Nix said with a grin, then looked straight up into the air a moment. “Let’s…hmm…how about up over there?” he asked. “I don’t wanna go throwing magic and weapons and stuff around where we might hit anybody. Up high works…or out of town, but, ya know, that’s a bit of a dash to get there.” “And maybe you can show me a thing or two about actual fighting…I never really got into any before I became a Senshi, though I’ve started learning since, and do this stuff all the time.” He rocked on the balls of his feet as he spoke, then concluded with, “Follow me~!” and leaped in such a way that was clearly meant to show off…he grabbed onto something on the side of the nearby building and only scrambled a brief moment before grinning down at the knight.

"Well, my Dad's seem action." Nastrond shrugged lazily, and nodded. "More than he'd have liked. So he helped me learn stuff butah... I did learn t' cheat. You are advised." With that, Nastrond trailed Nix rapidly, bounding -- not with grace, but with the eye of one used to adapting to distance and spoeed, humming. "I can show ya some cheaty stuff-- but only if you want. And we might wanna watch what we break. The city frowns on demolition outside areas meant for things like Demo Derbies and that stuff." Not like she was phased -- but she did track things to stay in the monster truck game and keep Big Bear well-endorsed. She was ruthless, not careless.

"Oh, yeah, breaking stuff's bad!" Nix said nodding, and patted a thing sticking up from the roof he'd made it up to. "That's why I like going up on rooftops or out of town entirely--less stuff to break. Though, uh, if we do break something on a roof, er, I guess it's harder to notice." He shrugged and smiled sheepishly. "Good and bad." "Anyway, I think here's good, right?" he said. "Toss your frisbee at me! I can catch it with my tongue!" He backed up some more as he said that, and got into a stance as if he was ready to jump up. "It's cool, you'll see!" he added to try to stave off the inevitable doubt of that assertion.

"Well, some places in town let me break stuff but that's part of myjob." Nastrond laughed, before rapidly shifting posture when Nix prompted, eyes flashing from the adrenaline surge. Admittedly her father only taught to use as much force as able; but his experience and desire was based in the horrors he survived in the Middle East, and Nastrond noted to avoid lethal force if at all possible, the page shjifting before suddenly lunging, aiming beside Nix as opposed to a direct strike. While she did think going full bar-brawl mode was a good idea, she didn't quite know what he could do yet -- and giving away her full moveset might not be the best idea possible, instead, she repressed as wild grin but barely, and moved toi swipe with her discus. She wasn't sure throwing her weapon was really WISE.

Nix kept on grinning, even as the Page did exactly the opposite of his suggestion, though that did catch him by surprise completely, so it took him an extra moment to react--though since she apparently wasn't aiming right at him, he did manage to side-step contact, just barely. "Hah!" he let out as he ducked to the side. "That's how it's gonna be, huh?" He continued the motion of his side-step to rotate around and face Nastrond's new position, his body low, ready to move, and arms out to the sides a bit as if getting ready to grab on to something, and then...waited. His happy grin never faltered through the action, and his eyes followed Nastrond with a happy twinkle.

Nastrond watched, moving to track him rapidly, mind rolling back to training for self defense immediate4ly as she nodded, managing to not give in. "Well, you never know what an enemy in a fight will do. You have to prepare for the unplanned -- the unprepare-able, asd it were." The page explained. She didn't mean to be short, but her tone was slipping into a mix of deadpan and sing-song, watching for a move by the senshi.l She wasn't ready to go offensive -- not yet. She wanted to see how he moved, and if she needed to plan for leverage being awkward or not, the page humnming. "What do you do when the enemy is unknown? *Unpredictable? A being you can't plan for or fathom?"

"Uh, well," Nix replied, glancing to the side briefly as he considered. "I just kinda...try stuff, ya know? Carefully! Watching, waiting, all that...waiting's hard, but it's good to do." He nodded at his own 'sage' advice, even as he slowly shifted his position, and kept an eye on Nastrond. The way he moved suggested he still moved for a fight based on what he'd watched in animes and video games more than real combat training...but he was working on it. "Sometimes, things just work, ya know?" He asked, and then immediately made a bit of an odd lurch forward and stuck out his tongue... ...Which caused a bigger, ethereal tongue to shoot forward, aiming to nail the discus she carried, mostly for the surprise factor of it. It was tipping his hand a bit, of course, but that's part of the fun of a not-hostile fight, right?

Tolin Kalin Sorry for the wait, RL beat my a** into a box. "Different methods." Nastrond watched, posture faintly shifting for a predatory stance as she walked, watching Nix patiently. "I mean, I have reasons, you have reasons, as loing as they work and it nev3er hurts to sha--SHI/T!" And a tongue pinned her discus, the page staring in surprise before looking to Nix, blinking. Really? Was he imitating My Hero Academia? He was not Froppy."DUDE. That's what IU'm talking about!" Stiull, she did poke at the strange tongue a bit, half watching fior an opening.

Nix couldn’t help but laugh at the reaction to his tongue—he figured it might get one like that, but it was still funny to cause somebody to swear. The tongue retracted quickly after it extended, trying to pull the discus with it as it went…although the knight could still keep her grasp. Either way, it came back to Nix, and promptly disappeared, showing his grin once again…and the fact that he’d charged forward as it pulled back, which would both put him in a position to land a nice punch, and to probably get nailed by a counter-hit by a prepared, wary fighter.

Nastrond was yanked along quite suddenly before realizing she was coming into a pounch, but punches were at least something she was accustomed to, the page grunting when Nix did indeed connect -- however, th fact she was grinning meant no hard feelings -- she was reminding herself it was a spar, but sdhe was still having a blast, and Nastrond took that momentary stun to posdition herself to attempt a retatiatory uippercut, laughing a bit. "Damn, you've got some skills!" She complimented happpily. "More fun than a mano e mano iun the bar, anyhow!" But not as fun as a group brawl. So far. There was still hope in her mind!
