Basic Information
The weapon is essentially a TKB-022 PM designed to fire 6.5mm caseless rounds, and that uses a forward reciprocating counter balancing mass system to reduce the felt recoil of the weapon, based on the Ak-108. The TKB-022 PM is renowned for it's short overall size, having a firing mechanism that is just 4 inches long, and for it's long barrel length in comparison to it's rifle length. The standard configuration is just 23.5 inches long with a 19.5 inch long barrel, giving it the performance of a submachine gun in terms of size while firing a full sized rifle cartridge. The weapon is also very controllable in automatic fire and competently accurate, which when combined with the forward reciprocating counter balancing mass system, decreases recoil substantially. The weapon is designed to be used with either a forward mounted overbarrel grenade launcher or underbarrel grenade launcher, and a muzzlebreak and recoil buffer system similar to that in the HK45. This substantially reduces the weapons recoil, which in combination with the caseless rounds and other features, and the bullpup nature of the firearm, makes it's recoil very controllable despite it's high power. Each round is approximately the same weight as a 5.56mm cartridge, allowing it to easily replace it in this role as well.
