❖ Pactiō: Nagi's one, unique ability as a Knight is that he can form the Mage/Knight contract with anyone. This is done by forging what is known as a Pactiō. By doing so, Nagi grants those he forms with this ability a special kind of weapon of their choice and increases their physical abilities and natural abilities in the same way that a Mage's contract does. Instead of Mage/Unison abilities, a Knight contracted with Nagi replaces these with "Pactiō Abilities." Any Mage that forms a Pactiō with Nagi gains a magical weapon as well that befits them and becomes a "Battle Mage," incapable of forming contracts with Knights of their own but being capable of Spellsword abilities and such. For every contract that Nagi makes, a bit of their strength is shared with him, empowering him and raising his stats by the equivalent of a rank. Finally, the deeper a bond someone forges with Nagi, the more their abilities evolve as well, gaining new abilities and evolving the weapon that forms as a part of their contract. The symbol of their contract is often the formation of an item that the recipient truly cares for, such as a locket with an engraving or a bracelet. This memento, when used, transforms into the contracted person's weapon that was forged from this bond.
To initiate a Pactiō, a person must kiss the individual to seal the contract between the two of them. There does not need to be any intimacy between the two or any prior relationship, but the kissing completes the circle and forms the pact between the two of them. Nagi must also draw out a runic circle around the two of them as preparation for the Pactiō, so as to have the contract's specifications outlined before both parties. Everything the Pactiō entails is detailed out within this circle, and its specifications are implanted into the minds of those that stand in the circle. Personality:
❖ The best way to describe Nagi is "cheerful." Everyone around him can tell that he is a rather pleasant person to be around that tries to make those around them as enthusiastic as he is. Despite his shortcomings and lack of abilities, he makes up for his weaknesses with a sense of optimism that simply outshines all of his faults. A situation is hopeless? Not for him, he will pat a person on the back, pick them up, and try his best to support them to the finish line. In addition, he acts rather selflessly a lot which leads him into rather precarious situations. Giving away his umbrella to someone that forgot their own, paying for a meal that his friends cannot quite afford, or even going on cleaning duty when someone really needs help with a house. The young man is far too helpful and kind for his own good. Some might even say that his brightness and naivety make him an easy target for being manipulated by others for their own goals. While he cannot deny this, the most he can do is try and see the best in people rather than focus on what they may or may not be thinking when he is helping them out.
His family situation is almost a complete opposite when compared to the general attitude he has around others. He and his eldest sister voice and act on their intense dislike of each other on a constant basis. Neither of them act kindly towards one another, albeit Nagi does not go out of his way to make his sister miserable like she does for him. Nagi and his father are also not on good terms, often having heated arguments with him about Nagi's lack of abilities and his inability to find a decent job because of it. Espers are highly valued members of society, so his son lacking any abilities effectively makes him far less likely to contribute in his eyes. His mother and middle sister are probably the only two he truly gets along with. Nagi's mother is compassionate enough to see that her son is not content with his lack of abilities, and his middle sister's lack of abilities allowed them to form a close bond with one another. Their similar situations brought forth a kinship that has helped him continue in life despite the hardships he faces. She is also the reason for his optimistic nature, having inspired him not to lose hope just because he is not special.
Overall, Nagi's a rather simple fellow. Do chores, schoolwork, whatever job one may have available, and then enjoy one's free time. Someone needs help, try to assist them in any way possible. Go out for chocolate eclairs on Saturday. His simplicity is almost textbook, although that is probably what makes him a rather charming person. There is nothing complicated with him, nothing that makes him stand out among others. His normal disposition allows him to blend into a perfectly normal atmosphere, effectively melting away from others and simply adding into the overall effect of existing. When one is down, they can rely on him to be there to lift them back up. When everything seems lost, the weakest will stand strong against the most powerful. Unwavering, unfaltering, his real power comes from his heart, and his love for the people around him. That is the best way to describe Nagi to another person. He is a beacon of hope to gather around, even in the darkest of times, so that his light may infect others and turn them into hopeful beacons of light for more people to be affected by.
History:
❖ Nagi was born as the third child in his family, barely being more than ten months apart from his middle sister in age. When he was born, his parents were expecting the young man to develop powers similar to his father, just as his eldest sister had at the time. What his parents came to find out over the first couple of years, however, was that Nagi possessed no supernatural qualities about him. They were fully prepared to come home to a burning house as they did with his sister one time, but nothing ever came from him, nor his middle sister. Somehow the two of them had managed to both be born without any form of Esper ability, from what they could see. This infuriated his father, seeing both of these children as complete failures in a sense. From the get-go, they had become a waste of space in their fathers eyes, and he began to place some hope in the possibility of having a fourth child that had amazing Esper abilities to pass onto his eventual grandchildren. That wish did not come true until much later, after Nagi had already began attending school with his middle sister.
Despite the protests from their parents, his middle sister insisted on delaying going to school for a year so that she and Nagi could be in the same grade. In this way, she managed to stay close to her little brother and watch over him as best she could. In return, she gained the same support that she needed from him in order to carry her through the tragedy of being powerless. Both of them were looked down upon and sneered at by their father, so they had to stand with each other if they wanted to try and survive in the world. It was because of their bond with each other that they managed to develop into rather healthy individual, albeit being a bit too attached to each other as they were each the others' anchor. They pleaded every year of school to be placed in the same class, to at least have some way to remain in contact with each other so that they did not feel so alone in this desolate world where they were like everyone else. At school, they may be treated like normal and even liked by others... but they needed to be around one another to prepare for the hardships of living in their own household.
By the time Nagi had made it to high school, the young man had grown rather tired of the way their father treated his sister. Because of her influence, he had become bold and often butted heads with their hothead of a father. While this greatly distanced himself from the man even more, this allowed him to push his sister back into their lives as a sort of consolation. With most of his father's hatred focused on him, his sister was readily accepted back into the family and she received a bit more attention than before. Nagi took all of this in stride, simply smiling and telling her that her being taken care of was all he needed to be content. After that, he started spending a lot more time by himself rather than with others or his family. While he still acted chipper and helped others, the young man would often go out Saturdays to get chocolate eclairs by himself rather than with his sister like he used to. All the activities he used to share with her became something composed of solitude. With each bit of distance he created between the two of them... the more his father treated her with a bit more kindness.
All of this seemed to be working rather well... until "The Moment" happened. As the days went by, their school began to integrate with the society of Carmillion, and it became commonplace for people of various backgrounds to be in the same classroom. He found it difficult trying to talk to Terrans. They seemed so foreign to him, like people beyond him. How could he ever reach so high as to have a conversation with one of them? While not too troubling, it did instigate the young man's curiosity about them, and he began to dive into their history. While he could learn quite a bit from the few Terran teachers around his school, as they had been hired to help ease the transition for students, the young man was incapable of gaining as much information as he would have liked. In particular, he could not find out too much information about the "Knights" and "Mages" that were apparently bound by pacts and documents within the Terran nations around the world. Curious, he has begun his own investigations to figure out exactly how these pacts work, and whether or not they would affect him in any way.

Weapon: Portable Beam Cannons - High tech weaponry that channels energy from a device on Saitou's back. Once charged, they fire a particle beam at their target capable of blasting through steel. He has six cannons as of now, and they can each fire a beam independently on his command. The node that links them all is located on his back. That is connected directly to his nervous system via his spine.

❖ Pyschokinesis: Saitou can move objects with his mind. This allows him to levitate and move his particle cannons about without having to touch them at all. Rank C
❖ Refraction: Saitou is capable of creating orbs that redirect waves and energy in various directions. This allows him to fire his particle beams into these orbs and redirect them around the battlefield, causing his opponents to stay on their feet at all times. These orbs are invisible, but when energy is being redirected by them they shine the color of the energy. Additionally, these will redirect anyone's energy or wave-based attacks in the specified direction that Saitou has chosen, meaning opponents could easily set one off by accident and have their ability blow up in their face. ❖ Inversion: Saitou is capable of reversing a person's senses and nervous system through direct eye contact. This causes a person who chooses to move forward to move backwards, to think up is down and left is right. Anything they think smells enjoyable reeks, and anything that tasted fine is absolutely disgusting. Sounds that were quiet are ear-splitting, etc... Rank C
❖ Light Trick: Saitou is capable of manipulating the light in an area, causing it to refract against nothing and thereby creating an exact copy of himself from light waves. It is not physical in any way, nor is it considered an illusion for anyone who can "see through illusions." It's a natural phenomena that he can create. It is simply manipulating light in a certain way to trick someone's eyes. Rank C
❖ Solar Focus: Saitou can use his cannons to focus his light manipulation into a singular point, thus allowing him to fire a concentration of solar energy at someone. This move is incredibly dangerous, as it can do far worse things than simply burn through someone. It can cause permanent skin damage and can even cause some natural side-effects from being exposed to raw solar energy. Rank B+

Strengths:
✔ Saitou is incredibly fast. To Knights, not people, he is just a blur as he moves about on the battlefield. Whatever happened to him, he was turned into a speed demon of sorts, capable of outpacing almost any Knight. To be exact, he is the second fastest Knight known to man, the first being the wielder of the "Unforgiveable Spear." To give an estimate of his speed, he is about ten times faster than any Knight, his movement being near on par with teleportation. This is, by the way, without a Mage. With a Mage, his speed will be the absolute greatest. It is his defining feature that he is the fastest being.
✔ He is incredibly intelligent, his mind calculating angles and trajectories constantly as he carries on a fight. His placement of his refracting orbs attest to how much thought goes into his fights.
✔ He no longer ages normally, incapable of moving past whatever time he has been stuck on.
✔ Saitou is incredibly conniving and underhanded. He will do anything to win a fight, even put bystanders at risk if it means getting the edge.

Personality:
❖ Saitou is flat out insane. Not the kind of insane where he is not conscious of his actions and is simply muttering to himself, no, he is not asylum worthy at all. More, he is criminally insane and willing to do horrible things to people just to prove a point. He lacks empathy, compassion, and will throw away anything if it means proving a point to someone or something. If one of the requirements to get past a gate was to break a follower's finger, he would gladly pull out a special set of pliers just for that occasion and slowly bend the bone until it snapped with a resounding "pop." If he were accused of being soft-hearted or weak because of an individual, he would disintegrate said individual with his particle beams almost immediately. That being said, there is absolutely some depth to his character besides a crazy man who wants to prove a point to someone no matter what. otherwise he would just be a childish creature with really fancy weaponry and no brains in regards to how to use said weaponry.
Our lovely villain is best known for the fact that he knows what he wants, and he will get what he wants regardless of what it takes or who he has to step on to reach that point. That sheer determination in his goals is what drives many people to view him as a powerful individual. That and the fact that he vaporized any crime boss that challenged him. Saitou also enjoys having a good time, unlike most people that align themselves with the dark side of things. Partying, chilling, and having a grand old time are things he can often be found doing when he is not plotting the demise of someone or striving to take away someone's favorite weapon. Rather than someone who basks in the misery of others, he wants everyone to see that a slothful, wasted life of nothing but enjoyment is that absolute best way to live one's life to the fullest. Anyone who challenges this belief is dead to him, and sometimes they are also dead to the world since he is not above vaporizing people randomly. This craving for entertainment is one of the major factors that separates him from most other people that would be defined as "evil."
Finally, there is the prankster aspect to him that many people seem to associate as being his trademark. Playing tricks, fooling, and absolutely humiliating others are some of his type priorities when engaging with others. Many would liken him to that of the jester, a cruel and evil demon willing to squash the hopes, dreams, and exploits of others to get cheap thrills and laughs for himself. Despite the happy-go-lucky lifestyle he promotes, he is not above inflicting emotional and physical harm on an individual if it brings entertainment to the masses. It is not his job to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves, he just wants everyone to live a blissful, slothful life at any cost. One can tell, just from a single look in his eyes, that Saitou is one of the absolute, most cruel people to have existed since "The Moment" occurred. Whatever happened to him to cause this is unclear to others, but the demon blood that was infused with him turned him into a complete monster by almost every definition of the word.
History:
❖ Saitou was a regular human for most of his life. Growing up in poverty, he was exposed to the worst of the worst when it came to society. Abused, mistreated, and generally ignored, Saitou fell into a life of crime at quite an early age, albeit as a follower of sorts. It was not until "The Moment" occurred that his life finally took a turn for the "better." With the arrival of the Terrans, a new threat began to show its face in society. This was a group of humans that viewed the Terrans as a threat to their very existence, wanting nothing more than to wipe them off the face of the Earth. Feeling the same emotions about them as this group, Saitou decided to see what they were all about. At first, he had no intent to join them at all, simply wanting to see how their organization operated and if it would mesh well with him as a person. Unfortunately, his visit to their facility was not one that he was ever supposed to walk away from. Upon being led to them by some members, he was abducted and taken to one of their laboratories where they commenced experiments with him as their guinea pig.
For two months, they used him as a method to test various drug enhancements, weapons, and other items that they wanted to use to fight the Terrans. Half the time these items caused intense psychological effects and pain, slowly damaging his mind more and more as they commenced with their experiments. At the two month mark, however, the scientists had finally come to the realization that they would not be able to make an equal to the Terrans out of a human in the lab. Saitou proved to them that any attempt to fight them would be met with failure. Their last-ditch effort to see if they could turn Saitou into a weapon was a vile of blood. This blood had been found in Eldrin on a sacred pillar. It apparently belonged to some sort of demon from long ago. Using the effects of a few Armaments they had managed to steal from others, the scientists had reverted the blood back into a liquid form. They then changed its properties and turned it into a virus-like substance that would rewrite the very DNA of anyone that was injected with the substance. Despite his pleas, Saitou was injected with this formula. Nothing could have made him happier than what it did to him.
The failure of the scientists was secured when Saitou gained his abilities from having his entire existence rewritten by the blood. Without even trying, the man decimated their entire staff, obliterating them in a single night and filling the hallways with their blood. This laboratory was actually where he found his particle cannon, the tool having been used by the scientists to test the durability of Armaments. While it had never managed to pierce an Armament, it sure was capable of burning holes in the walls and getting him out of the facility. A smile on his face the entire time, he walked the halls of the lab reducing people to ashes. By the time that midnight tolled, Saitou had made it to the surface and left only a few survivors back at the lab. The experiments having damaged his mind immensely, he was almost like a brand new person after his escape, only one thing remaining firmly in his mind. He did not want to be at the bottom of the food chain. No longer would he be someone's free meal by having him steal wallets or carry out their dirty work. No longer would he have to be someone's underling.
Upon returning to society, Saitou stole some clothes, vaporized a man for his wallet, and set about trying to make a new life for himself. Taking to the streets, he made a name for himself for vaporizing one of the big names in a crime syndicate. Saitou merely strolled through their base, melting his way in, and shouted, "The Marquis is here!" After that it was an absolute bloodbath. No one could keep up with his abilities. With that incident under his belt, no one attempted to try and control and lower Saitou. There was one time where he thought someone was about to do just that... but he vaporized them on the spot when the first syllable left their mouth. His exact reason was, "His face irked me." While he did not get a gang of his own or recruit any followers, Saitou began his reign of terror in Japan, absolutely ruining the streets and making people afraid to even exist. The one time where people were safe was when the Delinquent of Shibuya ran things. With his disappearance, however, Saitou has begun moving back into Akihabara and reclaiming his lost territory.
