EARLY CHILDHOOD Felix was born to Cyril Belmont and Shin-Hye Min. Cyril seem to care about anything, always keeping a stern face and a cold heart towards everyone. This, of course, included Felix and his mother. A few weeks after Felix’s 7th birthday, his mother vanished. His father told the boy that his mother never actually cared for him and abandoned him. Felix refused to believe his father’s words but didn’t speak out against him, he knew he would be punished for that. He simply went to his room and dealt with his emotions on his own. This resulted in his first manifestation of magic, as items in his room began to float as his emotions seemed to almost explode. Cyril eventually began hating that his son shared traits with his mother who had abandoned their family.
SCHOOL YEARS He began his schooling just like his father wanted, being polite to his classmates, setting a good example and most importantly not making friends with Half-Bloods or Muggle Borns. His father was very strict about that rule. In his first year he made quite a few pure blood friends, including his best friend Alphonse Dubois who was one of his roommates. He also ended up meeting Jacqueline Noel and Neomi, who Alphonse had known for a few years. He didn’t really speak to the two as much, instead he followed his rule of not fraternizing with anyone who wasn’t a pure blood. School went fairly well or him, he never really failed any classes and even joined the dueling club. In his second year his father announced his betrothal to a young pure blood female, Marion Richelieu. He got along well enough with the girl but he didn’t like the idea of having someone picked out that he would marry. During his 3rd year, he was partnered with Jacqueline, for a project in their Defence Against The Dark Arts class. He could tell that the girl was far to inside her head while trying to follow through with the assignment and it was causing her own failures so he helped to coax her out of her own head and helped her progress in the class. After that the two became almost inseparable, despite the fact that she was a Half-Blood. Felix decided to keep his friendship with Jacqueline a secret from his father since he knew how the elder man would react. Because of this he also became quite good friends with Neomi as well. Around the time his 4th year began he noticed quite a few females and even a few of his male classmates talking with him more and if he didn’t know any better he would think that they were flirting with him. He ignored that thought and just treated them like he would anyone else, unknowingly rejecting quite a few advances.
Then during the summer before their 5th year Jacqueline invited Felix to her home to study for the upcoming school year to make sure that they would both pass their classes. Felix agreed of course, but this now meant having to talk to his father about his best friend. Needless to say, it didn’t go well. Felix and Cyril argued about the fact that Felix was ‘sullying his good name by fraternizing with a Half-Blood’ and that he was ‘already betrothed and should not be hanging around the house of a young woman who he was not intended to’. For the first time ever, Felix honestly snapped at his father. He refused to let his father keep him from such a wonderful friend, and that’s all she was, a friend. So he wouldn’t have to worry about Felix trying to break off the betrothal to Marion. He ended up leaving without his father’s permission and going to Jacqueline’s. Because of his anger at his father they didn’t really get anywhere with studying and she ended up turning on this cartoon that she really enjoyed, Miraculous Ladybug. Felix fell in love with the show and strongly identified with Marinette and her inability to really say no to anyone. This would cause several playful arguments between him and Jacqueline, who insisted that he was Chat Noir and that she was Alya. It excelled so much so that she even began calling him Kitty. These meetings would continue regularly, usually without his father’s permission though. During this time, Felix also got to know Marion a bit more and found out that his betrothed actually didn’t even like men. Felix felt pretty bad that she was going to be stuck with him for the rest of her life, but he made sure that she knew he would never force anything on her, he just wasn’t that type of guy.
POST-GRADUATION After Felix graduated, he continued to feel less and less confident about going through with the marriage. He didn’t want this life and he knew this wasn’t the life his mother wanted for him either. Eventually after sitting down with Alphonse, Felix came to the conclusion that he didn’t want to marry Marion. 1. It wasn’t fair to her to be stuck with him her whole life and 2. He just...didn’t love her. He wanted to marry for love not just to keep his family name going. 2 days before the wedding he went to Marion and spoke to her, devising a plan to cancel the marriage but not get her in any trouble with her family. He was willing to take all of the blame and he would do it in the most outlandish way possible. Marion, who had a nasty love for drama, completely agreed to his plan. So on the day of the wedding, Felix stood at the altar and waited for Marion to join him and as soon as she did, he turned to the wedding party and grinned and then pulled out his wand and successfully Apparated away to the one place he could actually call home.
