Arachne knew he didn't have any reason to be nervous but he was. There was no reason to be nervous though, they had everything planned perfectly. Almandine was sitting on the edge of the roof and Mag Mell was on his way. Hopefully with Cosmos in toe. He had promised he could get her to come help them. Arachne knew he'd do as he said. He trusted Mag Mell to not let them down and that he would bring Cosmos to help Almandine. Even so he still felt his nerves slightly frayed. Which was why he was pacing around the roof instead of still sitting with Almandine. Not the perfect way to leave the other man but he couldn't make himself stay still.

Mag Mell was on his way, but it was with a different being in tow than the one Arachne was expecting. Attempting to think ahead, and recalling the jumbled bits surrounding the night of his own purification, Mag Mell had come baring a Guardian Cat who would be able to shield their presence from anyone who might try to interfere if -- when-- the Lady Cosmos appeared. The Knight of Cosmos took a deep breath as he reached up, lightly scratching Sumi behind the ear as he felt the kitten's head butt against him. The Mauvian had gotten rather good at picking up on his nerves, especially when Arsinoe wasn't around to do it for him. The knight had confidence in so many things, and yet here he was worrying that he was somehow going to let Arachne down. You won't. She's the Lady you serve. She'll answer your call. "I can feel two signatures up ahead-- Pretty sure that's the meeting place, right?" Mag Mell still hadn't completed the upgrades to his signet ring in order to send messages to anyone other than another knight while powered, so he was relying entirely on pre-determined meeting places and Sumi's guidance. "The Order aura keeps moving. That's got to be Arachne pacing. Guess we should hurry, hm?"

He was undeniably nervous.
For a man who did not normally get nervous, this was something different, a situation he couldn't analyze and control and take apart the way he normally would. Almandine's life as he knew it hung in the balance of magical forces; it felt simultaneously surreal and daunting.
He did not want to be forgotten, this was the simple and innate truth.
It was the right call, he knew this. Almandine blew on his hands and rubbed them together to get some of the feeling back into them, watching Arachne pace restlessly up and down the rooftop. He wanted to reach out for him, wanted to....he wasn't sure. Do something.
Something flickered at the edges of his awareness - approaching power signatures. Almandine felt his spine stiffen a little.
"Arachne?" he said quietly.

Arachne looked up when he heard Almandine's voice, stopping in his pacing and finally realizing that it might have been making the other senshi nervous. "Sorry...." Pushing his hair out of his face he started walking over to where almandine was before he noticed what had actually caught Almandine's attention. Two power signatures coming toward them. "That's Mag Mell." He held a hand out to Almandine, soft smile on his lips. "And one of the cats. Probably Sumi but I'm not sure." He hadn't been around Eta an Sumi enough to be able to tell them apart. "Nothing to worry about." Knowing Mag Mell wasn't far off at least made him feel a bit less nervous. With the Knight on his way it meant they were that much closer to getting Almandine purified and on the way to recovery.

When he arrived on the rooftop he paused long enough to set Sumi down on the ground before approaching Arachne and Almandine. "I hope that I didn't keep the two of you waiting for too long. I wanted to gather Sumi first, just in case we needed him." His own purification had came along with a power-up; a chance for him to rise to his potential. "That said-- here now and ready whenever the two of you are." He put a broad smile on his face, hoping that he was radiating more warmth and confidence than he was nerves. Anxiousness was better left for the other two tonight, even if he would have preferred it belong to no one at all.

He'd met Mag Mell before, of course; it wasn't that Almandine disliked him at all, he was more just...uncertain of him. It was hard to read a man that had once been with Arachne, or at least, hard to understand the connection that they had once had. It was a lifetime that Almandine had not been a part of.
He stretched out his fingers and accepted Arachne's hand, pulling himself to his feet. Fingers curled instinctively together, threading warmly, securely with Arachne's as Mag Mell appeared, a cat on his shoulders that Almandine didn't recognize, brow furrowing.
"What would we need him for?" he asked, with a glance at Arachne, before he added, a little belatedly, "Hello, Mag Mell."

Sumi fluffed himself out a bit once he was set down and walked over to but his head up against Arachne's leg before looking up at him with a smile. The spider senshi wasn't technally 'his' but he did like the red-head and it was never a bad idea to be friendly. Plus there was a new, well new to them soon enough, senshi to take care of! "I'm here in case you need something from me, never know if purifying is going to also make you stronger and you'll need someone like me for that. My name's Sumi. I'm one of the two cats that works with the group Arache is part of. So I'm always available if you need me." ------------------------- He gave Almandine's hand a squeeze once their fingers were laced together before looking down at Sumi. He was glad it was the kitten that had come with Mag Mell. Eta was a good cat but she might have been a bit overwhelming for Almandine. Sumi was at least cuter and the kittens own bumbling might make Almandine less nervous. "So we have a Knight and a Cat ... just need Cosmos right?"

"Guardian Cats also have a unique ability to mask energy signatures." Which might come in handy, all things considered. He didn't know just how on the edge the Negaverse was about things anymore and he wouldn't put it past an officer to investigate the feel of a corrupt senshi surrounded by two higher-ranked Order-aligned auras. There was also whatever aura the Lady Cosmos might bring with her... Celsus had explained a bit about how things had worked the night he'd brought Emrys home from the Negaverse; how he'd reached out to Cosmos, he'd simply called her name and within moments she had arrived. Even knowing that he was anxious. What if Cosmos, the lady whose symbol he bore on his uniform, did not come to his call? Mag Mell reached up to gently grasp the star pendant of the necklace he wore; the most prominent of the symbols of Cosmos he wore. He focused his thoughts on the pendant, using that as a grounding tool before channeling everything into words directed to the stars themselves. "Lady Cosmos, we beseech you. We ask for your aide in bringing one of our own out of Chaos.. You helped a friend of mine once, Celsus... He said that we could call on you."

Cats talking was still such a bizarre and unnatural thing. Almandine had no idea how it worked, because logically speaking, it should not have worked - and yet here it was, right in front of him, a talking cat. It was a very pretty cat, soft and silvery, but it was still a cat, and therefore a little confusing.
Though that might have also been just a facet of his anxiousness creeping in, unfamiliar and unnerving. Almandine was not the sort to get nervous easily, but this was not a small decision; his entire life was about to shift focus and paths into something else entirely, and it was...strange.
But Arachne was here. Arachne was here, and this was what mattered in the long run. This man that had guided him and taken his hand and supported him and understood him in ways that other people hadn't, and it was for this reason that Almandine understood what he was doing and why.
He nodded wordlessly at Mag Mell's explanation, then leaned closer to Arachne, momentarily resting his weight against the senshi's.
This was it. This was the start.

Like all interactions with Cosmos, for a long moment there was no sign to indicate if she was coming, or if she had even heard. The stars sparkled as they always did, and everything seemed to be moving at its own pace—until, in the distance, a pale white light appeared to brighten. There was no energy signature, no tell—not from this far away. Just a beautiful shooting star that lit up the night. And then, that landed in front of them. Cosmos stood tall and glanced around, eyes settling on each face there before she addressed Mag Mell. “You called,” she said, as if just to confirm that she had heard. The starseed, she could hear. Words, not so much. While she assumed her purpose, eyes turning to Almandine, she asked gently, “How may I be of assistance?”

Mag Mell stared in wonder for a moment before looking to Arachne as if he might chime in with an answer. The Senshi of Spiders gave him a pointed look that he took to mean 'you know why we're here-- you called her here'. "This senshi, Almandine, would like to leave the Negaverse behind and start a new life without the taint of Chaos. I've been told that you've helped others before, and we were hoping that you would help us tonight. Isn't that right, Alma?" He cast a glance in the direction of the corrupt senshi, just in time to see Arachne gently nudge him forward. kuropeco Sorry for the lag, bby. But TAG for u and then mule magic?
