I've noticed a pattern that Phantom of the Opera phans seem... predisposed, shall I say, to liking other movies. The three that I have really noticed are:
Beauty and the Beast
Moulin Rouge
V for Vendetta
Corpse Bride
If you know of more please add.
BatB and VfV I understand but I'm still searching for why I know so many Phans who love Moulin Rouge and I keep seeing music vids which are dedications to the two of them. I guess we have young girls who are kind going up the theatrical ladder (albeit Satine was a showgirl/prostitute)... the bitchy woman out to ruin things for the young girl (Carlotta and what'sherface who said "Why would the courtesan go with the penniless writer...whoops, I mean sitar player"), the crazy man who is after the young girl and is utterly obsessed with her (Erik and The Duke... but Erik pwns and is a sympathetic character, The Duke just plain sucks) and the guy who is really in love with her (Raoul and the writer guy). Oh and it's 1800s france of course.

*laughs real hard at the sight of V for Vendetta xd * I can't believe that other Phans love it as much as I do! I thought I was being insane (again) when I thought it similiar to PotO one way or another blaugh
What about Corpse Bride?
And why Moulin Rouge, maybe it might be because it's a romance musical set in France and has two male figures in love with a singing woman *shrugs* I guess, I wouldn't know since I'm puzzled as you are Baka

The Rogued girl *laughs real hard at the sight of V for Vendetta xd * I can't believe that other Phans love it as much as I do! I thought I was being insane (again) when I thought it similiar to PotO one way or another blaugh What about Corpse Bride? I also love Batman Begins and the general character of Darth Vader (so like episode three or something) becuase I love men in masks and capes heart but that's probably not something all other phans share O.o

Would Man in the Iron Mask count too? I like that movie and it has characters named Christine and Raoul in it!

Yeah dude. There was one part where Louis was chasing after this girl Christine for sex but she wouldn't give it to him because she was in love with some merchant or whatever named Raoul. So when a battle came, he put Raoul at the front of the line and he was killed and he took the girl in. Or something along the lines of that anyhow. It's been a while.

Well the guy was an utter a** and selfish, so I wouldn't put it past him. Christine was utterly heartbroken throughout the remainder of the film, basically going numb and becoming Louis's lapdog.

What a coincidence I just saw the Man in the Iron Mask, Raoul was a muskateer, he died cause he was placed in the front line by Louis. Christine then went to Louis for help (financialy), but he convinced her to be his mistress, she later hanged herself after she figured she was just lying to herself by pretending to love Louis, when she still loved Raoul....
And oh yes! Darth Vader rocks, especially in Episode 3 and 6.
So RDS, if you like masked men and capes, what do you think of Dr. Doom in the Fantastic 4 movie?

Aww, I love Hunchback.. but my knowledge of it is limited to Wishbone and Disney XD... though I saw the Lon Cheney HoND in a store a few weeks ago and went O_______O
I must go see Man in the Iron Mask now.
Also my GF (the one who introduced me to PotO to begin with) loves Darth Vader

The Rogued girl So RDS, if you like masked men and capes, what do you think of Dr. Doom in the Fantastic 4 movie?
I actually never saw that movie becuase it looked stupid sweatdrop although I have read the background story for Dr. Doom, some crazy genius science guy with an expirement that went "all wrong" and so he control/create amazing technology/robots (and apparently control thunder?) I don't know, the premise just seemed over used and I hate his costume sweatdrop although I do feel sorry for him becuase he was trying to rival Mr. Fantastic (whom I also hate becuase he's a goody two-shoes) xp
But might I mention that I'm also a fan of Zorro?
