It was a nice day, so Sylvite figured she might as well branch out a bit with her energy draining location, so here she was at a pretty big intersection downtown. There were plenty of little overpriced shops nearby, which meant there was plenty of foot traffic. It was great for people watching and seemed like it should be pretty good for doing her Negaverse stuff.

New places meant she got to try out new tactics, too. The people here seemed a bit older, so the whole "oops you're not my boyfriend-slash-girlfriend" thing probably wouldn't work here. Hmm.

She peeked the corner of a building to see a bunch of people waiting at a traffic light. That could work? She headed over, bouncing and skipping playfully straight into a businessman. They both went down in a tumble, the man pretty harshly and Sylvite a lot more controlled, with him to cushion her landing. "Oh, crap," she said, drawing out the syllables as she held the guy down. "I was totally not looking where I was going. Oops!"

At that point, the man broke in with an "Excuse me young lady," sounding pretty mad, and Sylvite broke away with an "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," as she retreated back to around the corner. Then, she started giggling. Okay. So maybe that was a little bit too dramatic? Well, she'd gotten a big ball of energy out of it, which she tucked into her puffy shorts.

She was having fun with this. She was grinning ear to ear. You could almost say she was having too much fun with this. In fact, she realized that she was focusing way too much on the fun of this as everything managed to fall apart in about three and a half seconds.

She wasn't used to people crashing these parties, so she hadn't noticed that Order aura until it was way too close and gross sweet bright, bright burning and accompanied by, like, a person. That was the really bad part. The aura thing she could deal with. The getting grabbed from behind thing, not so much. She did not handle it well.

Sylvite shrieked. That was the immediate response, not her somewhat lapsed combat training but that pure panic response. "Stop it! Let go," she hissed, and her physical response was pretty much the same. She was a wild thing flailing, throwing back her elbows and head and her heeled feet and just trying to hit whatever she could and get out, because she was not gonna get captured again. Not now.

The whole kicking and screaming thing was actually working better than it probably should have. Sylvite felt the guy flinch even if he didn't go down, and she managed to come up with a super simple plan. It was to just keep driving her heel into his shin until he let go of her.

It didn't work. It didn't work because she didn't account for the fact that he could pick her up backwards. The world spun. She found herself looking at the clouds. His arms were really digging onto her stomach now, so her shrieks turned into more of a grumble. She kept kicking and kicking. She kept flailing and flailing. There was no leverage. There wasn't anything. It wasn't doing any good.

He told her to drop the energy. "That's what you want?" She rolled her eyes at the sky. This was not her best moment, but she still wasn't about to just listen to some stupid senshi. Her arms were still free enough for her to reach up and drop the orb... into her mouth.

And then, oh. Oh. That was why they got told to eat energy in emergencies, 'cause she was suddenly buzzing. She let her legs drop for a moment and then kicked hard, throwing her weight backwards at the same time to try and flip backwards out of the grapple.

Oh, he had not liked that. That was okay. Sylvite had liked that, and she really liked the part where he dropped her, even if his fingers were digging really hard into her shoulders and he shook and she bobbed and bobbed until the world spun.

It was okay. Her feet were on the ground and she was buzzing.

Even getting shaken, she found a second to look straight into his eyes and give a dizzy grin. She licked her lips just in case he was actually confused. "I just did what you said," she answered, her words carrying the shrug she couldn't actually do.

Then a snippet of her training came through and she saw that she was in the perfect position to knee him in the crotch, which was exactly what she tried to do.

It worked!

She just sat there grinning for a second at whatever rude thing he was trying to say to her, mostly because of how hurt he looked. See, just because someone was a senshi didn't mean they got to mess with her and tell her what to do.

She'd finally shown someone!

Still, she wasn't about to just hang around and wait for him to feel better, because it turned out that he was actually pretty strong, and of course a total jerkface.

With a giggle, she sprinted off and ducked into the first shaded alley she could find.
