Seren was heading to a spot she and Tzei had agreed to meet at. She had texted Tzei about this. They needed to plan the raid on the Vending Machine, so as to help get more food options available to everyone. Seren did mot want to worry about Rhys and herself to run out of their own, personal supplies, and she also did not want any fellow Hunters to starve. And she had a feeling that Tzei would have some clever ideas on how to get inside the vending machine, and back out again, without getting trapped OR killed. She was close to the meeting spot when she heard a loud buzzing sound. She looked up, and swore, because there was a ******** bee flying in the area. She wanted to avoid attracting the damn thing's attention, if she could, because that stinger was a terrifying thing. She did NOT want to get too close to it. She moved slowly, heading for the meeting spot, praying that the Bee would not notice her, and Tzei would not accidentally get the attention of it either. Seren did not know if either of them were allergic to bees, but now would be a REALLY BAD TIME to find out. Quote: Boss: Worker Bee HP: 35 AD: 5 Special Mechanic: Every Fifth Hit, the bee tries to Sting. Whoever made the hit needs to roll 1D4. Evens, the sting hits. Odds are a miss! If the sting hits, the bee auto-looses, but the hunter takes 15 points of damage.

She's in a surprisingly good mood for someone who's, like, two inches tall, but what's life if not full of changes? Also free stuff. Nice.
She's almost at the meeting point when she sees Seren on the far end, moving...really really slowly. Then she hears what sounds like a bee. A bee? That's fine. Bumblebees are fat and cute and non aggressive. It's nothing to worry about hey why is it making a beeline for Seren why is this island full of fear contaminated animals why can't they just have nice free things.
"Hey, uh, maybe don't look now but oh nope you're already looking I think it noticed you quick hit it quick!"
She picks up a rock (or what's probably just a tiny pebble for normal sized humans) and hurls it at the buzzy thing, hoping to maybe lure it away.

Seren swore as it moved towards her. She swore again when Tzei threw the rock, and hit it JUST enough to piss it off. She knew Tzei was trying to help, and was not swearing at Tzei. She was swearing at the BEE that was coming in hot for her. Seren managed to get Diwata out, and ready as the bee buzzed Tzei, then spun around for her again. She straightened up and steadied her legs, then swung as the bee got close. Unfortunately, it was a glancing blow at best. The bee did not take much damage, but it bounced off and knocked Seren over, HARD, causing her to swear even more. It was, perhaps, an unusual set of swearing... Her words seemed to imply the bee had a VERY unusual lineage for a bee, what with references to slime molds, angry rhinoceri, and a hippopotamus in a tutu, but while they were creative, they were not much use against a Bee who did not understand a damn word she was saying. "Do you not like insects? I get the feeling you don't like insects."
Tzei watches as the sword, uh, kind of bounces off the bee. Maybe it's the rotund shape or something, but it doesn't seem fazed in the least, making a large u-turn and coming back to try for another hit. As it zooms in close, she swings her whip, gathering momentum and wrapping the heavy end around its body, knocking it off-course.
"Aw yeah! A hit! Yeesh. Everything's so aggressive today."

"Most insects I can ignore. Take it or leave it, kinda thing..." Seren said, eyes following the annoying bee's path. "However, when the insect is big enough to potentially kill me by slamming into me or something... Or even just maim me with it's teeth... I do not, in fact, like said insect. Especially if it feels the NEED to attack me. As such, the insects we have encountered today are evil little creeps and I could happily kill them all." She gave Tzei a small grin of approval. "Good hit... Keep 'em comin', I do not wanna be fodder for the Queen." Seren watched as the bee turned and came towards her again. She did not know what it was that came over her, sometimes, in moments like these, but there were moments when she suddenly found herself calm, and could see the target, and she KNEW, just knew, she would be able to hit. It might not be a finisher, but she would make this. As the bee got close, she pulled her sword back, then slammed it, home run style, into the bee's side, hard enough that while it clipped her with a wing, she did more damage then it did, this time. "Nice! Get 'im! The faster it's down the faster we can get at those snacks!"
Cheering, she jumps and waves her whip in the air. The bee, looking now more enraged than ever, makes another turn and goes straight for her.
"Wait, uh, does it look like it's trying to sting? Yeah, I mean, it really does, doesn't it NOPE NOPE NOPE NOT TODAY!"
Rushing out of the way, both she and the bee miss each other - but the bee can fly, where she can only drop to the floor and roll, scraping her knee in the process. "Goddamn!"

Seren saw the bee charging at Tzei, and she saw RED. There was no way in hell Seren was going to allow her brother's friend, and her potential new friend, to go down to a gods be damned BEE STING. She charged after the bee, snarling in her rage. and swung again. This hit was even harder then the last, and the bee lost an antenna, which flew back and struck Seren a touch hard. The Bee, in turn, managed to make a VERY loud buzzing, sounding furious, and it swerved back, straight for Seren. It made a very determined attempt to stab the tiny girl with it's stinger, but managed to just fly past.

"Oh my god, it's for real trying to kill us now, eh?! Nice dodge - oof, that antenna - Jesus, that stinger's the size of my arm! Don't let it hit you! I mean, duh, don't let it hit you, if only it was that easy, haha!"
Swinging again, she aims for the wings this time and, hey, it looks like she's managed to dent one! The bee hovers, a little disoriented, before pulling back and slamming into her. Vengeance, huh?
"Almost got it! It looks real goddamn tired now! One more hit, go get it!"

Seren was peeved at the attempt on her life. That stinger was huge, and she had NO desire to let it get near her again. When the boss came winging in towards her, again, she stared it right in it's many faceted eye, letting it see her determination and the face of death, before it was on her. She let it get a last hit in. And then she swung. It wasn't as hard as the last hit, but it was hard enough to send the bee slamming into the wall, and the bee went GOOSH.
