The weather was finally becoming warmer! Or at least Larissa hoped so, that was why she was out tonight… again. She had been trying to meet up with Alphubel for a while, but it was midterm time and apparently he was bogged down to heck studying. Well, she couldn't blame him for putting his studies first, from what she had heard about Azure Valley Academy, it was all about education, much more than Meadowview at least, but that just meant she had more free time!

Though that meant a lot of lonely patrol nights than she wanted, but it was really the only excuse she had to be able to go outside in the winter, and she was going to take advantage of it! Though she usually didn't travel too far, she mostly just scouted places for pictures that she could take later when she wasn't powered up and had her camera with her. No way was she going to risk her precious camera by taking it with her while she was patrolling. After all, she tended to get in some sort of scuffle and such and without any place to put the camera and all of the crazy magic that could happen, it just wasn't worth it.

And so here she was, sitting on top of the climbing dome in the middle of the park she frequented, trying to see if she could sense any auras. And surprisingly, she did! It seemed to feel like a Dark Mirror senshi, something she had encountered before, and well, she had to go check up on it at least. She jumped down from the dome, and headed in the direction where the aura was coming from.

The last thing Namaka had wanted was to be out patrolling and then forced by circumstances into using her mirrorwraiths on a human being. Still, she thought, nose wrinkling in frightened distaste, she'd watched this one stalking and clearly following people that he'd had no business being near. If she had to gather energy, at least she could make sure it was someone who deserved to be drained down to the dregs.

Once the wraith had finished taking all it could hold, Namaka stepped forward to recall the thing, trembling slightly. She hated using the things and it certainly wasn't a very noble or heroic thing to do. Maybe she'd take her courage into her hands one of these nights and look for Corvus and talk more to her. That could be pleasant since she knew Corvus wouldn't try to hurt or terrify her.

The fast approaching brush of an Order aura made the girl pause and glance over her shoulder. Had her quiet wish somehow called the white moon senshi out? Standing frozen with her mirror shard still in hand an an unconscious body only feet away, the dark mirror senshi suddenly realized that she really hoped it was someone she knew. Because she didn't exactly look harmless at the moment.

Larissa had finally made it to the source of the aura that she had been following and she gasped as she saw what seemed to be a Dark Mirror senshi, a wraith, and an unconscious body. Or at least she hoped it was. Were the Dark Mirror just as likely to kill as the Negaverse was? She was at a loss for words, but got closer, trying to figure the other senshi out. From the other's outfit Larissa... really had no idea what powers the other may have had, which made her a bit nervous. At least the yarn Dark Mirror senshi actually had yarn on her.

The other thing Larissa noticed was that the other seemed to be quite nervous, or worried. Either way, it looked like the other really didn't want to be here. Was Larissa that intimidating? Yeah right. Something else was going on. She decided to call out anyway. "That guy is just unconscious right?!"

It wasn't Corvus. It wasn't anyone Namaka knew. Why had she hesitated instead of bolting? Stupid, stupid, stupid! Still, the senshi hadn't moved to attack. Maybe things would be all right...

Maybe.

"Yes," she answered softly. "I don't let my wraith kill people."

Of course, she was tempted sometimes. But she had yet to act on those urges. And since the senshi wasn't outright attacking, she took the opportunity to slip the shard back into the little pouch she kept hidden away within her fuku.

Still, she didn't relax. If anything, her muscles tensed, ready to send her into flight if need be.

Larissa cursed to herself under her breath. She was already too late for this guy. "Well then, if you're done with him. Then I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Or else I might have to make you leave." She wouldn't say 'try', she had to be confident in this sort of stuff. Though she knew that if it was too much for her then she could run away, but she wouldn't feel right if she just left when she could have done something. Something was better than nothing after all.

"You've got your energy, how about you stop bothering people tonight then." Larissa hoped that the other would just leave, but of course, it could always turn into a battle, and Larissa wasn't sure she was ready for that. She too was tense, wondering if this was the type of Dark Mirror senshi that looked like they were vulnerable, but instead very skilled at deception and used it to their advantage.

The implication that Namaka had been bothering people and stealing energy arbitrarily stung the girl. Looking up quickly, her normally timid face had flashed obvious hurt and annoyance.

"I haven't been bothering people! And maybe if you'd been d-doing your job tonight I wouldn't have h-had to do mine!"

It was odd how different the senshi she'd met had been. Oort had been suspicious, but mostly friendly. Corvus, kind and stern. This girl though. This one had far too high an opinion of her place in the big scheme of things. And she paired up too well with so many of the stories Namaka had heard from her fellow dark mirrors. White Moon senshi: so busy trying to police everyone else who was magical that they neglected the perfectly normal human creeps.

Larissa started to wonder for a moment if this senshi was the same as that agent she had run into a little bit back. Though at least this one didn't look like she was just goofing around, there was an unconscious person right near them after all. Larissa huffed and put her hands on her hips. "I don't have psychic powers! How am I supposed to know that! Besides, if you just want to hurt people, you could just knock them out! You know that stealing energy is stealing their life force too right?" One would think it was just the regular energy one needed to get up and go about the day not acting like a zombie, but Larissa had been told otherwise.

She wasn't going to let the other one go and run right away. "Waterlily Dance!" Okay, so maybe she was being a bit too quick, but the agent had just been playing on the playground. This senshi had actually drained someone, and Larissa couldn't let her get away without showing that she was serious! It wasn't a guarantee that the other would step on any of the flowers, so Larissa had to be ready just in case the other was able to attack.

Sailor Scout Attack: Waterlily dance!
She summons 5 waterlilies (about a foot in length) scattered randomly and closely, surrounding the target and move around. If the target steps on one of them, they cannot move from it (but can still move their arms and such). Lasts 35 seconds whether or not someone lands on it. If they do, they are stuck for however long the effect has left. Only effects her current target and can be used 3 times.

Now stung into further anger, Namaka stood and glared at the other girl for a moment before taking a few furious steps closer.

"I d-don't want to hurt people! But I'm n-not gonna let a creep l-like that hurt anyone either!" she hissed. "You so smart, lolo, then you should know they get that energy back, so long's they rest!"

Really, it was intolerable. And Namaka thought back to the crazy negaverse boy who'd been ready to try carving her up with what amounted to a butter knife. Just because she'd been there and he could. And now this girl was accusing of of being like that boy. It was more than enough to rouse her up from her usual timidity and get her blood boiling.

Then, the other girl yelled something that summoned a handful of magical flowers. She wanted to fight so bad? Fine then!

"Dentricle dam!" she growled under her breath, feeling the magic settle over her skin just before she lunged at the other girl, fist balled up and ready to strike.

Only to manage to land with one foot in one of the flowers and stick there.

Wat.

SSBrosB
lolo = hawaiian slang for crazy or idiot

Sailor Scout Attack: Dentricle Dam
This attack can be cast twice times per battle and last for approximately 15 seconds. The radius is confined strictly to Namaka as it gives her skin a magical overlay that resembles the tooth-like roughness of a shark's skin. Great for close, hand-to-hand combat. Terrible for anything long range. Effects would be like having sandpaper punched or kicked into one's body and scraped against the skin. Somewhat painful, but not debilitating.

All right, the senshi was caught for now! Though the other had said something, which Larissa had not caught, but now was the time to... do something. Larissa didn't quite know. She had gotten to this point before in other battles, but this was when she usually ran away or they both calmed down and didn't have to resort to fists. It seemed however, that the other one had cast their magic, and Larissa couldn't exactly wait around wondering what would be happening.

And it seemed that this senshi seemed to be confused on what energy was. But arguing about it right now wouldn't result in anything positive.

And so, Larissa did the only thing that she thought she could do, and ran towards the girl, first ready, and threw it out and... "S***!" She said, as soon as she made contact with the other, only managing to bump the other's arm a bit. "What was that?!" She muttered to herself, taking her fist back and cradling it, checking to make sure no blood was coming out of her skin. There wasn't anything, but it was like rubbing her hand against rough concrete or something. Larissa backed away, wondering if she should stay longer. It seemed that the magic for this girl was defensive, and it hurt to touch her when her skin was like that.

This is why I really need to practice with other senshi. She thought to herself as she tried to figure out what to do now.

The blow to Namaka's arm hurt far more on a pride level than physically. And not for the first time, the Dark Mirror silently thanked the powers-that-be that had given her magical shark skin. And since her foot still seemed to be stuck, though not quite as badly, the senshi of sharks decided it was time for a bold move. She'd hurt tomorrow, but it was worth it to try and take this twit down a notch.

With a lopsided grin that seemed highly out of place on Namaka's normally composed face, she threw herself bodily for the other girl's leg, stretching out her arms to grip at an ankle and yank.

With any luck, she'd be able to stun the other and run like hell before retaliatory measures were taken.

Larissa hadn't exptected the Dark Mirror senshi to try to go after her leg, and the other managed to grab it. Larissa yelped as her balance was thrown off and she fell onto the ground, only barely missing her head. Next time, she should come with help. She knew she had hit something though, since her elbow was screaming in pain right now.

She growled at the other, and used her other, not-captured foot to try to kick the other senshi in the face. She was still trying to pull her foot away from the other, though she didn't seem to be having any luck with that.

That was an extremely short reply and I am sorry! XO

In spite of her extreme desire to get the hell away, Namaka couldn't help making a little satisfied grunt as she brought the other girl down. And okay, maybe she hadn't considered that kicking could still be a problem with her plan. But even as she tried to block her face from the worst of the kicks, she was wiggling her foot desperately and was more than pleased when her foot came free from the flower.

She felt a kick land on the side of her head, just shy of her temple and Really Bad Things™. Feeling dazed, she freed one of her hands and calling up her own magic once more, punched the other girl's leg, intentionally trying to scrape as hard as possible. Then, she let go entirely and stumbling and wobbling, bolted for the darkness. She didn't want to fight anymore and only cared about escaping the crazy. The sooner she found a hidden away mirror to dive through, the happier she'd be.

Before Larissa even knew it, the other girl was gone, and she needed to recover from the shock of the battle ending so quickly. She... well she hadn't expected a lot of things this night, but someone who had a clear advantage over her when it came to magic running away instead of punching her lights out? Even more of a surprise.

Larissa sighed and let herself fall back on the ground a bit, just for a few minutes of rest. She was glad to finally have that all over with though, and it made her feel a bit more confident in her skills. Still though, she was nowhere near good enough, and she would be feeling all of the bruises tomorrow. Hopefully she would still be able to walk without showing the pain of a ton of bruises.
