EARLY CHILDHOOD Giselle was born to the Scarlet family as the second child of Brenton Scarlet, the son of an old English Pure Blood family, and first child of Chiharu Yukimura a Japanese Pure-Blood Hit Witch. Giselle was raised alongside her elder brother, Gerard who is Brenton’s first child with his ex-lover. She was raised lovingly by her mother and father, and sometimes even her Uncle Hayate.

When Giselle was around 7 her mother was killed by someone who had formerly been her target. This caused her father to fall into a deep depression, he barely left his room and would not take care of his children as he had before. From then on her Uncle Hayate would frequent more often, taking care of the siblings with the help of the Scarlet family house elves. Seeing how the death of her mother had hurt her father, she decided that she would become a Hit Witch as well but she would be better than her mother had been. During this time Giselle began showing signs of magic and was taken under the wing of her Grandmother, Ruby Scarlet, the current head of the Scarlet family. She would from then on be trained as the next head of the family, skipping over her brother who was a Squib.

Unfortunately there was some discourse in the family. Many other members believed that even though Giselle was technically the best direct female in line to take over there was another much older girl, Regina Scarlet, a daughter of Brenton’s elder brother who had also been raised to become the head of the family. This would continue to prove a problem and Giselle would have to prove herself through schooling or she would lose the ability to take over.

Giselle didn’t really care about being the head of the family, but when she confronted her father about what he wanted, he admitted that he wanted to see her in that position so she decided that she would do what she could to prove herself a proper heir of the family without losing herself. Her Uncle Hayate made she to help her with this by making sure to keep her level headed and to actually treat her like a child instead of the head of her family.

SCHOOL YEARS
■ FIRST YEAR Momo joined the music club, and sent almost daily letters to her elder brother. Telling him all about Hogwarts. She enjoyed her housemates....well the ones that were kind.
■ SECOND YEAR The year of the crazy food fight, Momo enjoyed it a lot and even attempted to get Byron to join in on the fun....didn't happen of course. This year though, she decided she at least wanted to make a bit progress with Byron and even Blair. She wanted to befriend them. So she got some information from other students in the Art Club to find what Byron and Blair specialized at inside the club. She ended up giving them the gifts during the Chirstmas gathering she had been invited to at the Lockwood home. Later on Byron confronted her, telling her that he appreciated her attempt but told her not to do it again without asking. A part of her was a bit disheartened but she understood.
■ THIRD YEAR During this year Momo was given a small kitten by her older brother, he had named the cat Byron 2 or B2 for short. He said that the cat would treat her better than Byron was. That was a lie, the cat made this year pretty hard on her.
■ FOURTH YEAR The year began with Momo hearing that her cousin Regina was pregnant with the a child of Byron's father. When she told him he didn't believe her. When Byron began drinking it took Momo a while to catch on but when she figured it out she decided she had to put a stop to it, so she stupidly decided to just drink all of his stash so he didn't have any more. It was stupid.

Impassive Growing up a Squib in a Pureblood household quickly taught Gerard that he needed to have thick skin, thicker than most (especially with catty cousins about) After a while Gerard seemed to just develop his own poker face and didn’t really show any reactions to anything people said, to or about him. At this point in his life those things don’t really bother him, but old habits die hard.
Troll Gerard loves goofing around with people (though for some it’s hard to tell if he’s playing, what with his extreme poker face) and is in fact quite a jokester. Though sometimes his jokes are a little...out there, such as sneaking muggle hair dye into his grandmother’s shampoo. He definitely uses the fact that his family is unaware of many muggle things so that he can prank them.
Blunt Gerard isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind. This does get him into a LOT of trouble. (Such as he is only currently still living with the Scarlet family because his little sister begged their Grandmother not to kick him out.) He doesn’t back down from his beliefs and practically becomes a brick wall against things he thinks are wrong.
Protective If you become an important person to Gerard, he will fight tooth and nail for you. Even if it is against a powerful wizard or a muggle with a gun. He is ride or die and will make sure that you know that.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Gerard was the first born of Brenton Scarlet, the son of an old Pureblood family, and Arethusa Floros, his father’s sweetheart while they both went to Hogwarts. Arethusa unfortunately didn’t really want a child right out of school, but she didn’t want to abort the child. So she went through with the pregnancy without telling Brenton (who she hadn’t seen since graduation) that she was pregnant. Then when Gerard was born, she dropped him off with Brenton and hasn’t been heard from since. Growing up he was raised as a rival to his elder cousin Regina, both were competing to become heir of the Scarlet family. After all, Arethusa had been a Pureblood so he was still ‘pure’ in the eyes of his blood purist Grandmother. When his father took a new lover, Chiharu Yukimura, the woman treated Gerard like he was her own son. Because of how young he was Gerard almost didn’t realize that she wasn’t his mother. But Chiharu didn’t want to be a replacement or to trick the boy, so she would carefully explain that she wasn’t his birth mother but that she would care for him as if she were.

When Gerard was 6, Chiharu gave birth to his younger sister Giselle and with that their family seemed complete. They were practically the picture perfect family. That is until Gerard turned 11 and had yet to show a single sign of magic and ended up not receiving a Hogwarts letter. Needless to say his Grandmother was livid. Furious that a member of her family was a squib. After this, most of the family began shunning Gerard. The only people that still treated him like a part of the family was his father, sister, and step-mother. He took solace in that fact alone. Chiharu would even advise him to ignore the others and just let their words brush off of him, like water off of a duck. Eventually a tutor was hired to teach him how to survive in the muggle world and to continue his education without magic.

SCHOOL YEARS Things continued on as they had before up until Gerard was about 13. That’s when things took a sour turn. Chiharu ended up being killed by a target of her’s. This devastated the family, well Gerard, Momo, and Brenton at least. Gerard didn’t really know what to do, his first mother had abandoned him and now the woman who had practically raised him was gone. It hit their father the worst, Brenton locking himself away and would not care for his children or even himself. In stepped in Momo’s Uncle, Chiharu’s elder brother, a drunk who barely could qualify as adult supervision. He ended up frequenting the Manor to watch over Gerard and Momo (much to their Grandmother’s displeasure, since she could not stand Hayate Yukimura). When Momo began showing signs of magic, he was honestly a bit disappointed. He was worried that she would start treating him like the other members of their family did, of course he didn’t tell her such things and simply acted like normal. But Momo made sure to assure her elder brother that she would continue to fight anyone that was mean to him in any regard. After all, they had to be there for each other even if no one else would. Gerard never told his sister how much that meant to him that she cared so much despite being so young.

At 16 Gerard began sneaking out of the Manor and going into town to visit muggle establishments. Even finding something called an arcade, which he quite enjoyed once he figured everything out. Gerard quite like the muggle world, while still garbage, it was more welcoming to him than the wizarding world he had gotten a glimpse of.

POST-GRADUATION Gerard’s tutor officially announced him as a graduate once he finished all of his tutoring. This was also the year that his sister had started school, so while he had free time during the year he continued to sneak out of the manor since he had no one to entertain him inside of it. Or sometimes his Uncle would go with him and the two would just pass time together with Hayate’s son Daisuke (who Gerard thought was hilarious for such a young boy). Eventually the news of Momo’s betrothal came to be announced and Gerard was furious. So much so that he even went to their Grandmother and demanded that she call it off, saying that Momo was far to young for something like that to be thought of. This was the first huge emotional outburst that the male had shown in years. Ruby Scarlet was not amused and had planned on kicking him out of the family. The only reason she didn’t is because Momo threatened to leave with him, and Ruby was far to invested in the competition between Regina and Momo to have that happen. Eventually his temper died down and he ended up using the family money to buy Momo a small white cat that he had named Byron 2, and said that the cat would be nicer to her than the boy would. (unfortunately that was not the case)

Currently Gerard is searching for a job so that he is able to move out of the family home. He isn’t sure what kind of job he wants, just one that pays well so he can move out as soon as Momo graduates from Hogwarts.
