There was still no trace of Feliks, and by now Dasha wondered if she even really remembered her brother. Of course she remembered him but…but the sharpness of the memories were fading. He was starting to seem less...real. Sometimes it almost felt as though she had never had an older brother but…
Now wasn’t the time to be thinking of that. She had a date with Piper today.
…She really, really liked Piper. The girl had been one of the best things to come into her life since the loss of Feliks, and she honestly…wasn’t quite sure what would have happened if Piper hadn’t shown up. Things would have been so fundamentally different…and she might have been dragged down into a dark place where she couldn’t climb back out of but…
But she had Piper so…all of those thoughts were moot.
And now she was meeting up for a romantic walk through the park and dinner and she was ready, chilling on one of the swings and just swaying slightly, using her feet against the hard frozen ground to see that she kept in motion.
She hoped the other girl would show up soon…it was chilly and perhaps she could make the suggestion that the walk was shorter than they had anticipated, what with the temperature dropping so quickly as the sun started to set.

There'd been a reason why Piper had suggested going for a walk in the park. There was a better than usual chance of not being disturbed or spied on and Piper badly wanted to share her secret with her girlfriend. As she stood beside the door to her apartment, shrugging on a heavy jacket, she found herself pausing.
Heh. My girlfriend. Who'd'a thunk?
Still, as she left her home and took off for the park at a jog, she couldn't help but marvel a little at herself. The hellion, adrenaline junkie who couldn't keep a boy or girl to save her soul back home had found an actual relationship in this frozen wasteland. Just went to show, she thought, breaking into a full run across the ice-slick pavement. Even as she slid, she laughed, sliding and dashing to the park. And once there, it wasn't that hard to find Dasha.
Striding up to the swings where her girl sat, Piper couldn't keep her eyes from sparkling with laughter, or keep her cheeks from going bright pink with happiness at both her run and seeing Dasha sitting there looking so pretty. Swooping over the other girl, Piper planted a hearty kiss on her before grinning and looking thoroughly pleased with herself.
It wasn't everyone who had the cutest girlfriend in the world, after all.

Dasha let out a startled noise as suddenly lips. Warm lips were pressed against her own and she nearly fell backwards on the swing, but instead reached her arms up, hooking them behind Piper’s neck.
When the kiss was broken, the purple haired girl’s face was reddening and she stared at Piper with an awed expression. “Missed you too, Pipes…” Her eyes were sparkling and she hesitated getting up and wrapping her arms properly around the green haired girl, giving her a real squeeze, and even going so far as to planting her own kiss, letting her lips linger against Pipers for a few moments and relishing in how her girlfriend tasted.
This was what paradise was, she knew it.
Knew it and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
When Dasha finally pulled away, she was grinning like an idiot. “So…you really want to go for a nature walk on a cold night like this? I mean…If it’s what you want, I won’t protest…but it’s so cold, Piper…aren’t you cold?” She hoped so. She hoped Piper would laugh and boop her nose and just say she was right and they should go right to dinner and warm up.
…she wasn’t even sure that she could feel a nose boop right now, the thing was so cold.

More kisses were always good and Piper rather thought that she was going to need to bring Dasha home with her one night soon. And when Dasha pulled away, Piper answered her grin with one of her own before reaching up to play Boop the Snoot.
"It's a bit chilly, yeah," she answered in a teasing voice. "I promise you, love, we'll go somewhere warm as soon as possible, but there's something I need to show you first. It's really important."
As she spoke, she could hear her control over her accent slip slightly from nerves. But at least none of the usual bizarre colloquialisms had found a way past her lips. Small mercy, that. Rather than speak again, she seized Dasha's hands, gently tugging and begging the other girl silently to follow into the trees.

When Piper did exactly what she had wanted without even having to ask…Dasha giggled. Giggled like a schoolgirl with her first crush.
And when Piper spoke and that adorable accent kept coming through, Dasha didn’t know what to do. Honestly, if Piper would just talk Aussie to her…well. That would be enough to send her to the moon a few times. Accents were…really attractive.
Slowly she squeezed the hands which were holding hers and followed the girl without any more complaints. “If it’s that important to you, Pipes, you know I wouldn’t deny you anything. I love you, so whatever you have to show me, let’s do it.” She was curious…but kind of thought that perhaps this was just…
…oh…
What if Piper was proposing. It seemed a little soon, but she wouldn’t hesitate. She would say yes and they would be able to start their lives together. As Dasha walked she let out a happy sigh at the thought, squeezing Piper’s hand. “I’m excited to see whatever this is, Pipes…really excited.”

Smiling reassuringly, Piper led the way into the trees, occasionally glancing back over to shoulder to smile into Dasha's eyes (and make sure no one was following them). Finally, when she was sure that they'd gone far enough, Piper closed her eyes and turned around to face her girlfriend. Hands moved to Dasha's shoulders, as Piper stared down at her for a moment, seemingly searching for something. Then, she pulled Dasha into a bone breaking hug and let her go with an odd little smile.
"Don't be scared now, love," she murmured before taking a step backwards and murmuring under her breath.
Piper almost wished she could see what it looked like to transform. Hopefully it didn't look traumatizing. Still, it was hard to worry as the warm energies of her wonder wrapped her up and altered her. And as they faded away, Maya stood where Piper had been, trying hard to look non-threatening and not shiver to death.
"Okay. I could have planned this a little better. Oh, ******** me, it's colder'n a miner's arse out here!"

For some reason, the hug brought a little bit of fear into Dasha’s mind. Was…was she going to be dumped? But…why would you start out a conversation with a kiss and then just…dump someone?
By the time Piper was telling her not to be scared, Dasha thought she was going to throw up, but then…
Then Piper was gone. Replaced by someone else. Someone who had the same hair color as Piper…but was as different from her as night was to the day.
But the words…the accent spewing from the…senshi’s? Was she a senshi? For some reason Dasha wasn’t too sure. Of course she hadn’t really powered up at all since snowball had awoken both Gayla and herself but…
But clearly Piper was one of the things.
…But was she a good thing?
Slowly, Dasha swallowed. She was wearing white at any rate so that had to be a good sign. Slowly she reached into her pocket and let her fingers curl around the henshin pen that she carried around with her, though hadn’t actually really ever…used.
“What…what are you, Piper? Are you…with…the Negaverse…?” She knew that the Negaverse were the enemy, but...but she couldn't imagine Piper being a bad person...

Eyes quickly took note of how Dasha's hand slipped into her pocket and Maya wondered if she'd just somehow made a collasal error in judgement. Still, maybe Dasha was just reaching for pepper spray?
Right. Like that was any better than Dasha possibly being one of the bad guys. Though her question snapped Maya from that particular anxiety.
"One o' them wankers?!? I should say not," she said hotly, tossing her ponytail over her shoulder defiantly. Then, taking a deep breath, she plunged on, "I'm Maya, page of Ganymede. Whatever that might mean."
She snorted, some of her good humor restored as she willed her little gingko leaf bundle into existence.
"Hell of a weapon, ain't it? Still not sure how I'm supposed to use it to protect myself or anyone else for that matter."
Then, her smile faded slightly as she stared intently at Dasha.
"I'm still me, love. Just a little bit.. ah.. upgraded?"

Maya…page of Ganymede? What the hack was a Ganymede?
Dasha nodded slowly and then shrugged, pulling out her pen. “I mean…you’re attractive in that outfit…Maya. So I suppose…I should show you mine as well, hm? If this is show and tell time.”
Quietly she drew in a breath and muttered the words which triggered her own transformation, reveling in the feel of the magic that enveloped her and a moment later, Dasha was gone, replaced by Ingrid.
“I’m Ingrid, senshi of Holly. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Maya.”
Finally her face broke into a smile and the senshi took a hesitant step forward, reaching her gloved hand out towards the page. A chill breeze caused her dress to swirl around her and the smile turned into a grin. “We…I guess this means that we can fight together, if we decide that we want to…I’ll admit…I’ve known that I’ve had these powers for over two years now I just haven’t…I haven’t powered up since I learned of them but…I think you might give me a reason to want to.”
So long as Maya wasn’t upset. So long as Piper wasn’t upset. But…This…This secret wasn’t even that big of a deal…she hadn’t done much with it so…
So could it really be used against her? She hoped not.
“I thought for a moment that you were bringing me back her to dump me, Piper…I’m glad that wasn’t the case…”

For a moment, Maya goggled at Dasha... no, Ingrid before her knees wobbled and she sank down into the snow laughing fit to burst. Here, she'd thought that she would have to protect Dasha and that telling her the secret would help to pave some of the little kinks out of their relationship.
And here was her girlfriend, a senshi!
Reaching out a hand to seize Ingrid's, Maya gave it a little tug, wanting to draw the other girl close as close could be.
"If you think for a moment that I'm going to let you go out alone when we could be together, watching each other's backs, you're crazy, love. And why on earth would you ever think I'd dump you? I love you! I'd never do a thing to hurt you!"

Ingrid let out a soft yelp and fell to her knees, resting against Maya and wrapping her in a tight embrace the moment she was close enough to do so. “I love you too, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before…I really…I really haven’t done much as Ingrid so I figured it wasn’t that big of a secret but…I suppose I shouldn’t have kept anything from you…but the cat said that we should tell anyone, so I didn’t…and you know…right? You’re not mad?”
Her heart felt as though it were about to burst and by the time she managed to get it down to a more reasonable level, she was nuzzling the page lightly. “I just…I don’t know. Your expression and that hug…I just got freaked out. It was strange, because when we were walking here for a moment I thought you were going to propose, so I’ve been in both directions from excited to horrified…but I’m happy with what you wanted to show me. I can deal with this.”
She leaned up, kissing Maya’s cheek lightly. “Heck, I like this.”

"Why would I be mad?" Maya asked, a perplexed look on her face. "Love, I was terrified you were going to take one look, turn tail and run screaming into the night."
Laughing a little more at her own silliness, Maya returned Ingrid's hug with interest and then coughed a little at the mention of being proposed to. For a moment, she considered quipping that that had been her plan for next week, but thought better of it. Instead, she made herself be absolutely honest.
"Can't say I hadn't thought about it. But, given that we both seem to be superheroes, maybe marriage proposals should wait until we're both sure that we can handle this new stuff together, hrmm?"
Eyes lighting up at Ingrid's cheek kiss, Maya held her close for a moment, just enjoying the stillness.
