█BACKGROUND ▬ Zaffre was raised in a home that taught him, that the upmost important thing was to be first place. His mother was very strict with his studies, and his father put Zaffre into competitive fencing when he was a very young age. His mother screamed at him if he did below a perfect score on a test, and his father did not hesitate to physically beat him if he acted out or under performed. He never had free time to hang out with friends outside of his intense training and studying regime, and consistently underwent emotional breakdowns as a child with his complete lack of companionship. But his parents were not concerned with his emotions, they were only focused on his track record. After years of his parents' relentless insistence on making him the best at what he did, he yielded and bottled up his desire for warmth and friends. No matter how much love he wanted to share or how much friends he wanted to have, he pushed his needs to the side and did whatever his parents made him do.
Eventually, he came to the realization that his victories did not feel satisfying to him anymore. But he grew to crave winning. But in craving winning, he was never satisfied with a simple first place in his fencing tournaments. He wanted to be the best at something grander, and impressive. Eventually, despite his initial fear of Grimm, he began looking into becoming a Huntsman, because if he was the best Huntsman that ever existed, then that would be the pinnacle of glory, of winning.

█PRIMARY WEAPON █ ▬ Wyvern Spiral II █ ▬ A highly versatile lance-whip hybrid that, with a combination of his semblance and red-dust, allows him to make greatly mobile maneuvers with it's accelerator attachment on his arm. It is mostly the color of dark steel, with accents of blue. The weapon has channels of fine red dust crystal that acts like a conduit for his semblance, enabling him to extend the propulsion of his blue flames to the side of the lance form, or the length of the whip form to increase it's speed or dramatically change it's direction of attack. His weapon gives him many options, such as charging towards his foe to make high impact attacks, dueling at close combat with his lance, or keeping his foe busy at longer range in it's whip form. Additionally, he utilizes wind dust vials that adds power to his propulsion, and affects how his semblance's flames can be used. █Melee Form ▬ Lance - A custom-made lance with an engraving that starts from the base of the lance, and spirals towards the tip. It's size, length and weight has been customized to be suitable for melee dueling which can be closely described as a two-handed rapier. It has an extension that goes around Zaffre's arm that has the purpose of an accelerator. It's internal structure has a hollow chamber that can be filled with the flames from his semblance until the pressure shoots the tip of the lance out, quickly unraveling into it's whip form with enough force to pierce into a wall. █Ranged Form ▬ Whip - The engravings on Wyvern Spiral uncurls to become a whip that can cover 15 feet. It can quickly curl back to it's melee form. If the tip of it's whip form is pierced into something else, curling back to it's lance form will either pull Zaffre towards the other thing or vice-versa depending on the difference of weight. █Other Form ▬ Belt - When not in use, Wyvern Spiral is curled around Zaffre's hip like a dense strap. █Ammo Type Physical ▬ Green Dust (Wind) - Used primarily for greatly amplifying his speed when he most needs it and manipulating the semblance's flame power, direction, and reach. █ ▬ Because of the weapon's nature, it works best in open spaces where Zaffre can move to quickly to outplay his opponents. But Wyvern Spiral is greatly hindered when caught in environments that disallow movement, and is not meant to be used as a long-ranged weapon.

With the assistance of his weapon's accelerator extension that focuses the point of his semblance's release, the thrust of his movement has great power behind it. The flames are harmful if one is moderately close enough to them, which Zaffre takes advantage of in combat. █ ▬ (Level 0//0-99 posts) Zaffre's speed can move at 15 feet per second (10 mph), and his flames cause minor burns at close touch. █ ▬ (Level 1//100-199 posts) Zaffre's speed can reach an impressive 36 feet per second (25 mph), and his flames are harmful and can reach 5 feet. █ ▬ (Level 2//200-299 posts) Zaffre's speed can reach 58 feet per second (40 mph) █ ▬ (Level 3//300-399 posts) Zaffre's speed is an explosive 88 feet per second (61 mph), and when it's blue flames are being released at it's full strength, his aura shifts between many dragon-like shapes. The flames can reach up to 7 feet and are intensely hot making him explosive on impact. █*DRAWBACKS ▬ If Zaffre's limit is pushed, he can suffer moderate burns that hinder his abilities in combat, depending on how serious the burn. Furthermore, although he can still cover lengthy distances on the battlefield, he can only propel himself for so long, so there's a short pause between each blast of his semblance. Zaffre can also only choose one area where the flames come out, so he cannot propel himself in one direction, and his weapon in the other at the same time.

❖I would like to see a picture, or a full description for your character, so that we know what you look like! ❖So with your weapon, I see that it's a Lance, that goes into a whip form. I looked at your description of how he would use it, and I need to inform you that Lance's are very unwieldy in combat. A Rapier would be useful for what you are thinking, however, I also understand if that is your character's way of getting away from his parents. I think a mid sized, one handed sword would be easier to translate. ❖So with your semblance. The only issues that I have is the amount of speed that you gain. 60 miles per hour is a bit fast. I think I did the math correctly, if each post was 6 seconds, you would be able to move 528 feet in that six seconds. If it was only one second, it would be 88 Feet in a second. I think if you were to reduce these numbers it would be for the better.

I ask this, because until Atlas is reopened, you are Limited to 8 pieces of dust per mission. Though thinking about it, a whip can't fire. ❖The speeds are still too high on your semblance. In order for me to approve it, it will need to be reduced. I did consult with Narx on this one, and he agrees that the speed is too much, because quickly moving like that would kill you if you hit an opponent or a tree. Human bodies aren't made for this kinds of speed.
