"Drawing the night, seizing the sun, with those arrows of flame that pierce through everything."
"Thanks for the hot chocolate!"
A voice had exclaimed, walking away from one of the many stands set up for the winter festivities. It had snowed quite a bit this year, so people had decided to set up all sorts of fun wintry events around Oak Town, where it seemed to be the most abundant. "I love hot chocolate so much." the voice spoke once more, gaining the attention of those around him. It was none other than Verzweiflung Melankoli, the 2nd Wizard Saint and God of Ishgar, and Fairy Tail's sudden and newly appointed Guildmaster. He decided to check this festival out, since he loved things like this, and he really didn't have much else to do at the moment. He had even spoke to his guild members about attending too, if they could handle the cold outside, that is. Though to him, it wasn't too cold. Maybe he was just used to temperatures being like this. He did always love visiting Lux Brumalis, and snowboarding there. Though this time, he was still dressed in his regular clothing, and not any snowboarding equipment. He would've dressed to fit the occasion, but was unable to find any clothes that he actually liked. But it wasn't like it was that big of a deal, so long as he was still able to enjoy drinking his hot chocolate.
"Though I am curious as to if any of the others will be showing up. Hmm... maybe not, they might all be busy. Oh well, what can you do." he spoke, mostly to himself, but getting glances from those also wandering around the festival grounds. Maybe he sounded just as crazy as he looked. Or maybe it was because of his eyes. Or even maybe his currently shimmering rainbow hair, since he was walking under the sun. Though chances were that it was his new eyes. Yes, you read that right, his new eyes. Recently he had gone on a 100 Year Job, and at the end of the job he was met with a battle against a god. Of course he didn't win, but regardless, his old eyes were literally gouged out by said god, and replaced by these new ones. They looked rather strange, as if someone had taken the night sky itself and placed it within an orb. There were also strange, rune-like circles, which seemed to slowly spin in circles, as if animated by an unnatural force. It had taken him some time, but he was finally used to them, and was able to see clearly once again. If anything, it had improved his sight, and allowed him to be able to see quick movements he hadn't been able to before. "I guess it's not all that bad in the end..." the male muttered to himself once more. He brought the hot chocolate to his lips, going to take a sip before remembering how hot it was. "Gah, damn it! Hot, hot hot!" the male exclaimed, flailing a bit wildly as he tried to cool his mouth and tongue. "Oh, the ancient words of fading colors, they still turn the cogs of passing time."

"Nevertheless, people still sketch the flame of their undying lives."
