Puck floated around casually about the castle courtyard, where he had told Minerva to meet him. He had wanted to show her something, but wondered if perhaps she had come early and wandered off without him. Perhaps she was already in the castle. He was tempted to go check, with all the inviting, endless corridors, dungoens and hallways to explore, but he didn't dare leave his spot in case the witch came.

"Where could she be?" he murmured to himself. She wasn't late; not really, not yet. But Puck had been early, and the seconds felt like minutes.

"Did you know that talking to yourself is the third sign of insanity?" Minerva walked up to him with a grin on her face. "The second," she continued "is finding little hairs on the palm of your hands." She stopped talking as she continued her walk over to Puck, when she reached him she giggled "the first is looking for them!"

She stood there and smiled "so what did you want to show me?" She asked, shifting her weight from the front of her feet to the back in a slight swinging motion.

The pointy-eared child stiffened, then whirled around to confront the voice. He raised a brow at her remark on speaking to himself, then, much to his shame, couldn't help peering at his hands and then flushing just a slight shade of pink as she confirmed it to be the first sign of insanity.

"Hello there, Minerva," Puck greeted with a crooked grin, clasping his hands behind his back as if he hadn't heard a thing. "Good to see you came. For a moment, I was beginning to think you were a scaredy cat." He laughed heartily. "Only joking. Hey, have you ever been inside the castle before?" He gesture vaguely ove his shoulder at the stone structure towering high above them.

"Me? Scared of something you had to show me? Never." She smirked before looking over Puck's shoulder "The castle?... Nuh uh, actually, this is the closest to the castle I've ever been before." He looked back at Puck "Rogue told me not to go there alone because I might get lost."

Puck wasn't quite sure if he should have taken her comment as an insult, a compliment, or both, so he simply settled on giving her a confused little smile and a shrug of the shoulders. "Never say never. Especially if you haven't vistsed the castle before." He small smile suddenly transformed into a mischevious little grin. "There are some pretty spooky things in there, like for example, me, when I was imprisoned in a mirror, chained up, and locked in a random room for who knows how long, only to be found on Halloween night. But hey, that's just one room and one story. The place is filled with more rooms, doors, and places to explore han one can discover in a lifetime, I think." He paused a moment when she mentioned her mother/gaurdian's warning. "Oh. Well, it's no wonder then, is it? At least you know I'm not lying about that." There was something devious in those inviting, periwinkle eyes of Puck's at the moment. "Still interested in going?"

Minerva frowned as she peaked around Puck, as he spoke of his time in the castle as a mirror she felt more and more nervous. "But..." She glanced from the castle to Puck, to the castle, and then back to Puck.

"Of course I'm interested in going..." She said, her nervousness slowly taking a hold of her "Nothing bad is gonna happen, right?"

"Ahhh...we'll just have to see about that, won't we? What's the fun in an adventure if you can't have a little danger and excitement in it, hmm?"

He seemed to get a wild look for a moment, but then it was gone. "Not to worry though, little witch. You happen to be brave enough to overcome these obstacles. And though there may be bad things to happen, I'll promise I won't let anything bad happen to you. Deal?"

With a fluent, elegant motion, Puck flicked his wrist and extended a hand to her as he bent in a magestic bow. "Shall we?" His grin no longer revealed any malice, though it was possible that he was concealing it.

Minerva grinned, how could she go against logic like that?

She agreed though, there wouldn't be any fun in an adventure if it wasn't scary or exciting in any way, it'd be long and boring. Then again, spending time with Puck was never boring.

"Alrighty then, it's a deal." She slowly took his hand and grinned "We shall, we shall." She didn't see anything wrong with this of course, Rogue told her not to go in alone, and she wasn't alone. "So, are you going to give me at least a hint to what you want to show me?" He asked as she tilted her head slightly, she was starting to get a little excited about this castle-trip after all, the nervousness slowly faded as a grin formed on her face.

"Well, I suppose it couldn't hurt could it?" He gently held her hand and pulled her toward the tall castle doors. "Alright I'll start with this; The room we're going to is very large, and though it may be useless to me, I think it may help you with your magic." With both hands grasped on one of the oaken door handles that Puck could only reach by flying, he pulled hard, and with a tremendous effort, managed to pull it open enough so the two children could slip in.

"Ladies first," he told her, trying to regain his breath from his effort. "But don't go too far in without me."

Minerva grinned as she walked into the castle, a few feet in front of Puck as he tried to catch his breath, "Alright. Don't worry about it, it's not like the floor's going to open up and swallow me," she said cheerfully before she paused and muttered "I hope."

"Help me with my magic? What kind of room is this?" Minerva was now confused, she wasn't aware of any room that could do a thing like that, you could only learn by practicing and reading books... right?

"Let's hope your poofing skills will help you then," He replied casually. "But I really think flying is much more reliable." As if to prve his point, he slowly floated backwards as he spoke, hovering right beside an empty suit of medieval armor. The blade of an axe included with the armor suddenly crashed down, inches from Puck's slightly upturned nose and wedged itself in the stony castle floor. The hollow, empty sound echoed through the halls like a haunting ghost.

"Yikes...that was close," Puck muttered, examining his hair to make sure it hadn't been sheared off. "See, if I had been on the ground, that would have really hurt. Tymiko got pinned down by one of these once, and she couldn't do a thing about it," he chuckled. "Nor for that matter, could I, being a mirror. But I better go first, seeing as you're mortal..."

He wandered along some way, never far from Minerva's side, but trying to make sure they were going the right direction. The corridors twisted and turned in the most odd places, and every once in a while Puck would cautiously open one of the wooden doors open a crack, as if searching for something. Several times he emerged looking a little pale, and once he slammed a door shut so fast he nearly caught his hair in it. He stayed there a while, back to the door, panting, as if he had just narrowly escaped a hungry lion.

"Nope...definately not right," he said quietly, in almost a whisper. A small trickle of sweat ran down his race.

Minerva frowned, she didn't like this castle anymore. It was supposed to be mystical, so what was making Puck act in such a way?

She walked up to Puck as he leaned against the door "Hey, if... y'know, if you're going to end up like this from looking in a door... maybe we shouldn't be doing this." He placed a hand on Puck's shoulder and the other on the door handle, she was kind of curious to find out what was in it.. she paused.

If it made Puck act like this, she didn't want to even attempt to imagine what was behind the door. Could there be dead bodies or something? She shuddered and pulled her hand away from the handle as if she had been burned.

"Come on," She pulled slightly on Puck to continue the way they had been heading, she grabbed his hand and squeezed it slightly, "no more doors until you're sure it's the right one." She said while nodding.

"Well, you see...I sort of forgot which door it is, and the only way to know is to check." He looked sheepish. "But really, it would be a shame to have come all this way for nothing if I can't show you what I wanted to show you. Hey...wait a moment. I think that's it."

Puck paused at a simple wooden door that looked no different from any of the dozens of others they had tried. He hesitated, hovering closer, then quickly turned the knob beore he could have any second thoughts.

A moment passed. He cautiously peered in, then stuck his whole head around the door. "Finally! We found it." He grinned triumphantly as he eased the door open for the lady presant. "After you," he proudly offered, gesturing into the room. It was filled with thousands of shelves. And on each shelf were rows and rows of various passed-down knowledge bound in paper and binding. "Welcome to the library, Lady Minerva. I hope it's to your liking. There's bound to be some books on magic in here, perhaps even animal transformation."

At Puck's gentlemen-likeness, Minerva smiled and giggled before her eyes lit up, it was amazing. "This place is huge!" She said as her eyes widened.

Suddenly she tackled Puck into a hug, "You have got to be the coolest friend ever!" She said before she ran into the many rows of bookshelves. Books on every topic were scattered around her, she was in knowledge heaven. Everything lay at her fingertips!

She suddenly found herself in the 'magic' section, flying and transformation books were in this area. "It figures... the flying books are at the top!" She rolled her eyes and suddenly she was gone with a quiet 'poof'.

As she was at the top, she bent down to grab the books she felt she needed, grinning as a small stack slowly grew beside her. She giggled as she sat atop the bookshelf and began flipping through all the books fairly fast, looking for what she needed. Something without brooms.

The small boy felt very pleased with himself as he watched Minerva's face light up, even though he had been having second thoughts about bringing Minerva to the castle. He hadn't been sure she'd like the library too much either, but it seemed he'd picked just the right room.

"Well, it is a castle library - and they're always huge. Whoa!" He fell back as Minerva glomped him unexpectedly, feeling stunned and aware of his face getting hot. "Er...right...cool...friend..." was all he could murmer as he stared at her on top of him.

Then she was off like any other child at a toystore, only Puck knew no place with toys could content Minerva more than a library. He watched her progress through the volumes, amazed at her quick ability to find the books she wanted. "You sure you've never been here before?" He asked quietly when he finally caught up to her amid a small mountain of books on top of a bookshelf. Puck hovered over her shoulder until he touched down and stood beside her, leaning on a stack.
