The older lioness lay basking in the sun. It was a warm day, but the air was clear. She liked it when the air was damp, the moisture would cling to her pelt. It reminded her of the swampland she had grown up in, the place she had once called home.

Mwujuzi had called the Pridelands home for some time now. It was a place that had called to her blood after spending time wandering the rogue lands. She could trace her family lineage back to here, through stories, so it felt natural that she make her way here.

She had been comfortable, even raised a second litter of cubs, falling for a passing leopard.

Still, she missed her home from time to time, it was natural after all.

Dark eyes looked out upon her home land.

Bembe had brought a stranger into the lands, and no one had seemed to mind. Not that she thought they would. The Pridelands were an accepting and welcoming place, and she knew no one would have a problem with Ithi's presence.

It was her who has having the problem.

The white and purple lioness had found herself getting flustered around the male, tripping over her words.

What was wrong with her?

Head down, her mind full of thoughts, she did not register the older lioness in front of her before it was too late and she was piled on top of her.

That'd teach her for not watching where she was going.

Mwujuzi had not expected to find herself stumbled upon, literally.

An oof left her mouth as she felt the other fall on top of her. Mwujuzi looked upon the lioness who'd just fell on top of her. She looked young, but she hadn't seen her around. Mwujuzi had helped care for many a cub but there were many more she had not seen or met, the pride was so large.

The older lioness laughed, wondering what had caused the other to not concentrate on where she was walking. At least the collision had been rather gentle, imagine if she'd been running!

Mwujuzi nudged the lioness gently with a smile.

"Everything all right young one?" She asked.

Bembe was over come with embarrassment at her fumble. How could she have tripped over the other! She was not some silly little cub anymore, she was an adult, and yet here she was, running into, or rather, running over other lions, and older ones at that!

"I am SO SO SO SO SO sorry," said Bembe, her face red with embarrassment and regret.

She hurried off the other lioness at lightning speed.

"Are you okay?" She asked, hoping she had not injured the other.

"I'm so sorry, please forgive me!" she said quietly, her head hanging low.

Mwujuzi only laughed more, the apologetic nature of the other female, especially when there was nothing really to apologise for, for she nor the other had been injured, was quite funny. She imagined she had been a tentative cub growing up, and now it had translated into a nervousness in her adulthood.

"It's fine, please" said Mwujuzi calmly, rising from the ground to be eye level with the other.

"I am used to getting a little bit rough-housed" and it was true, she had raised two litters of cubs in her time so far. They could be quite the handful.

"You must be thinking hard about something to miss my big body!" She laughed again, her older age had seen her gain some weight, she wasn't as young and taught as she used to be.

"What's got you in a tizz?" she asked the lioness.

Bembe was still embarrased by her actions, no matter what the older lioness said.

At the lioness's question she stuttered.

"Oh.. er... um..." she mumbled. She didn't want to admit that it was Ithi who had gotten her worked up. That would mean that she cared about him. That was silly. She hardly knew him! He was a stranger here.

And yet, there he was again, at the forefront of her mind.

"Oh, just a lion I know..." she admitted eventually, slumping into a sit next to the other lioness.
