 About Atalanta is all about the elements and balance. They know that you can't have one without the other. Fire to water. Earth to wind. Light to dark. Each is needed in order for the world to thrive. Each element has a 'good' and a 'bad' side to them. They don't believe in evil/bad or angelic/good for everything has both. Events

 Seila was laying on a warm giant rock surrounded by the ocean. Her head was on her paws as she lay thinking. She wasn't worried about danger for her older brother Nereo was somewhere in the water around her. Her grandmother was a Phim who was mean but she had recently met three Phims that were nice. One who was scared of everything it seemed, the second a little awkward with groups but nice and the third a bit snappy in defensive of their sibling but overall nice. Not that she could blame them. She was very defensive of her sibling as well. Then there was the daeva. He wasn't like her grandfather who was very tolerant of anything that she did. Nope this one took her into the sky and seemed to be quite angry with her and threated to drop her. It wasn't something she was expecting. That day that she meet them all had been a nice day. The ocean was gentle and not a cloud in sight. But the following day the ocean had raged and threw itself upon the land. She hid in the depths not wanting to be tossed about. As she thought back on it this day it struck her that both people and elements had two sides to them that was needed for balance and to just be. With that thought she had jumped to her feet and searched the water for her brother. Nereo was not far just like his sister knew. He knew something was bothering her but didn't approach until she had jumped to her feet in a panic. "Dear sister what is wrong?" he had asked as he swam closer. Seila's head snapped to his direction as he came closer. "Dear brother I have figured it out." She informed him. "What have you figured out little Sei?""We are like the elements.""Of course we are. Our tails are pretty much made of water and our ears are fins like fish." He said with a stare. "Nooo we are all like elements. Phims, Daevas, Normals...everyone. Look while the ocean is calm and safe it can sometimes rage and destroy. A Tsunami would flood the land but would leave rich minerals behind for growth for later.
Fire keeps you warm and cozy but can take out entire forest.
Wind while soft and gentle can rip trees from the ground and toss them around.
Earth while it nurtures and provides food and shelter can break and split causing devastation. Light and dark they can not exist without the other and neither can anyone else."Nereo could see his sister's point but had to ask, "You have a point but not everyone feels that way."
"That is true but we are there for those who do and for those that are unsure we can show them the way. No one is all good or all bad, not even Uncle Sin. We see this and we will help others see it to if they want to." Seila told him with conviction. *posted with Reoakee's permission for Nereo

Map of the Atalanta Land and Different Area's  Home Camp/Base: Home, where most foxes have their dens and see each other. It is in the middle of the yin and yang mark. Hot Spring: The hot spring is at the base of the volcano and where the sick den is located. The Light (Shaman) takes sick foxes here to heal and recharge. Ocean: To the west of the main land. The Earths (Gatherers) and Fires (Hunters) collect food and resources that the ocean can provide. Mountains and Volcano: Places where foxes can strengthen and test themselves so that they can be prepared for any threat. Forest: Where more game and resources can be gathered.

Standard Ranks
Elder: The Elders have the abilities of all the ranks below.
Light (Shaman): The ability to use small amounts of magic. Nothing extreme like commanding oceans or anything, but small commands over earth, air, water, and fire. Providing some sparks to start a fire, breathing underwater for a minute, causing a fruit to fall from a tree with a small gust of wind, etc. The abuse of these powers, however, will result in Shamans having their powers removed by the shop. Along with that, if a fox is injured, spending time with Shamans (and the Carers, who assist and act as nurses when needed) means that their wounds can be treated faster and leave minimal scarring.
Fire (Hunter): Heightened natural abilities - hearing, sight, agility, dexterity, etc. They can move quicker, and sense other foxes and creatures quicker and more accurately than others.
Earth (Gatherer): The ability to use ultrasonic-like pulses, to check surrounding areas for downed prey (not live animals, just kills), herbs, and any other materials. They can't locate specific things, but their ability helps give them a general idea of what items may be in the area around them.
Wind (Scout): The ability to use telepathy, in order to send news faster. The telepathy is one way and they must be a few miles near the one receiving the message, unless they are talking to another Scout or an Elder.
Water (Carer): The ability to sense auras for a short moment and get a general idea of what another creature is like (good/bad/neutral/dangerous/etc.), and calm other foxes when they are in distress. They can also communicate telepathically with kits that are still in their BCR stage to understand their basic needs (needing warmth, for example), similar to how Scouts use telepathy, but at a much smaller level.
Gray (Tribe Member): No special abilities.
Unique Ranks
Beta: The second-in-command, who still answers directly to the Elder. The Beta enforces all law and word from the Elder, helping keep the tribe moving smoothly. The Beta can speak for the Elder.
Dark: They are the Light (Shaman's) counter part. They have a knack for setting up traps and defenses.
Ice: It is their sole duty to keep Carer's and the kits they are watching safe. They are extra protection for kits if an enemy tribe attacks.
Lava: They are the warriors of the tribe. They meet the incoming threat to the tribe at the borders and hope to keep them out.
