Cynthia sighed as she walked around the park, trying to get a good picture. It was finally February, which meant that spring was practically around the corner, and trees would be in bloom and flowers would be appearing and the land would become green again! Much better than the winter they had to keep going through. Currently, she was wearing some jeans and a nice coat with a sweater underneath, walking around, trying to see if she could get any nice pictures surrounded by all of the naked trees that littered the park. She missed Louisiana, where they rarely if ever got that much snow and it was usually warmer than here. But it's not like she could say 'hey dad, how about you not move someplace that will help us as a family and is better in your career path?', that would have been selfish of her. And so she had to endure the annoying winter that came around, and swearing every year to herself that she would move somewhere near the equator. She was interrupted from her thoughts though, as she saw a cute, very red cardinal on the ground, picking at the bottom of a tree a bit away from her. Instantly Cynthia whipped out her camera, trying to get a picture of it, and immediately entering a tunnel-vision state where she could only tell what was going on through her lens, and nothing else. Seiana_ZI Hope that's okay for a beginning!

Ignacio didn't really have any preference one way or another when it came to the seasons. He supposed he liked summer the best, but every season had their advantages, even the occasionally bitter cold of winter. He was bundled up, admittedly, wearing everything from boots to gloves to a scarf, but that was alright. It was still pretty. And Ignacio enjoyed walking in environments that were pretty, even if he probably wouldn't run right now. He was fairly sure the city kept the sidewalks fairly salted, but it was hard to tell just how salted it was at the moment. He didn't really want to take any risks. It caught his attention when he saw a girl suddenly yank out a camera, and at first he gave it a wary look, but he seemed to become just a bit more alarmed when he realized where she was pointing it. Oh... oh no. Awkwardly, he rubbed the back of his neck, before pulling his scarf up around his face just a bit more and attempting to dart out of the frame. He was unaware that the girl was just trying to get a picture of a cardinal, of course -- he just didn't want any pictures taken of him.Not at the moment.

The cardinal hopped around on the ground a bit, and so Cynthia had to readjust her lens a couple of times, until the cardinal finally decided to stay still for 10 seconds and Cynthia was able to snap a couple of pictures. She took her head out of the lens, smiling, glad that she had gotten a few photos of it. At least the might be able to post them on her photography group, though it wasn't nearly the type of picture that she usually wanted to take. It was then that she noticed a guy who seemed to be... avoiding her? Why? Then she thought about it. He must have thought she was going to take a picture of him! She tried to hide her laughter, but made sure to call out to him, "I wasn't taking a picture of you! I was taking a picture of that cardinal near the tree." She said, pointing at where it had been. "Don't worry, I didn't get you!"

Ignacio fidgeted awkwardly, hoping that he had managed to get out of the lens range in time. She didn't seem to be concerned with chasing him down, though... Hm. He waited for a moment, watching as the woman pulled herself out of her camera-based distraction. She looked like she was laughing. What was she laughing-- oh. She wasn't trying to take a picture of him. At all. Maybe that was a bit egotistical of him to think that someone else was trying to take a picture of him, honestly. He was just kind of ... there, at the moment. "Oh." He didn't see a cardinal there now, but he believed her. ... Still, it couldn't help to check. Projecting his voice a bit, he called back, "You got a digital camera?" Ignacio assumed she did, but he knew he had seen photographers before that claimed they loved the "traditional" way of using film and still insisted on using it. He didn't quite understand it, but he wasn't really anything more than an occasional hobbyist when it came to photography. "Can I see it? The picture of the cardinal, I mean?"

The cardinal was no longer there, and Cynthia sighed. For a moment she got some decent pictures in, but the true beauty would have to wait until Spring finally came, and she could take pictures of all of the life finally returning to the plants outside and all of the insects and animals that came with it. She was looking at the pictures, when she realized that the man was still talking to her. She yelled back, "Yeah it's digital!" She couldn't afford to be a camera snob and getting one that used film still. And besides, digital pictures were perfectly fine in her opinion. She heard that he wanted to see it, she shrugged and walked over to him, making sure that he would be able to see the pics in her camera. She doubted he would just run off with it, after all she had a tracker on it just in case of such an event. She figured he was most likely camera shy and just wanted to make sure that he wasn't in any of her pictures. She understood that feeling, which is why she tried to make sure people weren't in her pictures when she took them. She walked over to him, looking through the pictures a bit, before sighing at one. "Aww man, I took a picture of it's butt in one of these..." She said, slightly mumbling as she showed him the pictures. Sure, it was a feathery covered butt, but a butt all the same.

Ignacio was definitely not interested in running off with her camera. He had a phone if he wanted to take any pictures, anyway. Also, it was her camera. Ignacio wouldn't steal. It didn't sit right with him. He really just wanted to see the pictures. He leaned over a bit when she came over so he could get a better look at what she was showing him. Those were definitely just ... pictures of a cardinal. That was a relief. When she remarked on the cardinal's butt, he snorted. "It's alright. Not every picture can be fantastic, right?" Ignacio knew that much from whenever he tried to take a selfie with himself and Richard or himself and his sister. The majority of them seemed to end up a bit of a ... well, they needed a couple shots before it looked good, at least. "Sometimes you need to take a few shots before you get a good one." He waited for her to come to a picture where the cardinal was facing forward before pointing out, "Like that one? That one looks pretty good." It was hard to get animals to stay still, seeing as they were animals, so even getting close to one looking forwards was good...

Cynthia smiled at him. She was glad that he seemed to be trustworthy. Though she giggled at his advice. "Pictures wouldn't be nearly as neat if we could get all of the animals to hold a pose." Though if someone really wanted to capture a certain pose, she would always suggested recording a video of it and getting a picture from that later. However, her camera couldn't do it of course, so she could only stick to still frames. She nodded at him, glad that she had taken at least one picture that seemed to gain the approval of a random stranger. "Well, at least I got one good shot in all of this surrounding hibernation and tree nakedness. I can't wait until spring when I can finally get some nice flower shots and we have more green around here than just the pine trees." It drover her crazy sometimes. She really thought of leaving everything sometimes and just going to live on some island on the equator where it didn't snow. It seemed that the stranger was satisfied that he hadn't accidentally been caught in any pictures, and Cynthia put the camera away after covering the lens. She wanted to stay out longer, but didn't think she would get any other good pictures unless it was of something like a squirrel.

At the idea of animals striking a pose, Ignacio's mind wandered off for a moment to a thought about animals standing still, animals making sassy poses with one hand on their hip as they stood, animals making peace signs somehow with their animal limbs like that was even possible-- He wrangled his mind back into the conversation with only a bit of a struggle. What was she saying? Finally get some flower shots. More green. Must have been talking about spring. "Winter is nice, but I think we're all ready for spring." responded Ignacio, with a laugh. He took a look around. "I'm honestly waiting for the ground to stop switching between slippery, icy, and muddy. I just want to be able to walk across the grass." He was sure he annoyed the park keepers whenever he insisted on not just walking on the sidewalk, but it was nice to feel the grass under his feet... When he wouldn't slip on the grass instead, or feel his feet squish into the grass. Ew. "There can be beauty in winter too, though. Do you take winter shots often?"

Cynthia had to agree with him, the weather made the ground plenty awful. She had ruined a few pairs of boots due to mud stains because the ground was still icy at parts and muddy at others. It just needed to make up it's mind already! At least rain if it was going to be muddy! She shook her head in response to his questions. "Not really. I mean, I do take some landscape ones, but it's kind of hard you know? Like I think the best are the ones where you can capture freshly fallen snow where there are no footprints or even hints of people living there. But that's usually pretty hard in the city. Even if you go to the parks or the outskirts of it, there's usually someone who's already trampled through it. I try not to take pictures of people. I think it's kind of weird to do so of random people I don't know. Which is why I stick to landscapes and stuff." It was true, she really didn't like to take pictures of strangers. It felt like such an invasion of privacy. She shrugged her camera bag back onto her shoulder, re-adjusting it and once again wishing she just had a small backpack for it. She smiled at him. "Well, I need to get going, see if anything else is out there or go and get a hot chocolate because it's still winter. I'm headed over to the corner cafe if you want to talk a bit more. Otherwise, it was nice to meet you uh... what's your name? If you don't mind me asking of course. I'm Cynthia by the way." She said, holding her hand out for a shake, though she wouldn't be put-off if he decided not to return the gesture.

So she sounded like she was just in general a nature and landscape photographer. He relaxed further, though he hadn't realized he was still a bit tense. Definitely didn't need to worry, then. "Yeah, for sure," replied Ignacio, with a laugh. "I don't necessarily mind people I don't know getting me in a picture, but I'd prefer if they'd ask first. Or if it was in an environment where I was expecting pictures. Out here? Not so much expecting them..." He paused for a moment, before adding, "But I do get it. It's a little crowded out here, unfortunately. Can be hard to get a shot without anyone without driving further out. Maybe to a state park?" He knew some photographers got people in their shots all the time, even unintentionally. He supposed in that case they were part of the scenery, but sometimes they deliberately tried to get people as a focus of the shot and-- He was being offered a hand. Laughing, he took it and offered a firm but not tight shake. "Ah, nice to meet you, Cynthia! I'm Ignacio." No need for last names considering she didn't give hers. That felt a bit... Ridiculous. "You could always take some pictures at the cafe too. Sounds a bit different than your norm, but it's nice aesthetics, right?"

Cynthia gave him a sly smile. "You wouldn't believe how many times I go to the state parks around here." Too much in her parents eyes, but she was going even more now to check out camping spots so she and her boyfriend could finally take that camping trip that they wanted. She shook his hand, glad the he was okay with the gesture. "It's nice to meet you too! And yeah, that would be interesting, would just have to wait until it's not as crowded though!" She said, laughing a bit. Though really, she swore that half of the cafes around here just looked slightly above never having been cleaned before. She was sure there were layers of dust caked to the walls. Restaurants really needed to take more pride in how they looked. Suddenly though, she got a text, and she quickly looked at her phone, recognizing the name and the message and whoops! Looks like she had already promised Jason to meet him at the cafe! She quickly cursed to herself in her head before looking back at Ignacio. "Well Ignacio, it was nice to meet you, really, but unfortunately I have a cafe meeting to get to that I forgot about! So I need to go now but maybe we'll bump into each other sometime!" She said quickly, and turning around, but not before turning back to him and waving. "See ya!" And with that she was sprinting to where she needed to go. Seiana_ZI All right, end post from me! Thanks so much!

Ignacio chuckled. "I recommend going later at night. Cafes tend to get a bit quieter then." Usually less people wanting to go there to get work done or get coffee for that matter, considering no one really wanted to make themselves more wired that late at night. Coffee had never really helped him and it tasted gross so he didn't really understand the appeal of that, but-- His eyes widened when she said she had someone else to meet, but then he laughed. She was meeting someone else? Ah well. "Yeah, maybe! Especially if you come through this area often, I imagine! It was nice meeting you, Cynthia!" And she was gone. He laughed, shrugged, and kept walking. It was nice to talk to someone else for a bit, at least.
