Zigaran found himself tasked with a battle that he was a little bit uncertain of. There were some radaku causing problems around Emeka and they needed to be taken care of. He was sure that might mean that he had to kill them, right? Or was he being tasked with chasing them away from the village? It was really hard to say since he hadn't really been told which way he was supposed to 'take care' of the radaku. It might be a test on his mother's part, right? It might even be up to him to decide upon what he wanted to do with them and his mother might tell him what she thought after. There was a part of him that didn't want to kill them because he'd grown up alongside Dinis. He didn't want to say as much though, not wanting to appear as though he was going soft. He was a warrior and he had to act like one.
He figured that he could go and stake out the radaku, see how many of them there were, how old they were, how big they were, and he could decide how he wanted to go about the task he'd been given. Given the danger of the Dretch he doubted very highly that he'd actually be alone while he went about the task. In fact he was certain that he'd be shadowed by his Alkidike mother while he went about his job so that he remained safe. Not to mention that when dealing with a trio of predators there was always the chance that they might try to hunt him just as he was trying to hunt them. He had to make sure that he was prepared for that because he really didn't feel like becoming a chew toy for a bunch of feral radaku. It was bad enough that he had to deal with the fact that his chiavi wanted to n** at him.
Not that he could be mad at Siorys, she was far to pretty to ever get angry at he thought to himself. His hand lifted up slowly, resting on his bow as he got closer to where the radaku had last been bothering people. He wanted to be prepared just in case they decided to charge at him. As he went things were quiet, making him wonder if the radaku were still around or if they had moved down or something. Just as he thought that he saw one of them running by, followed by two others a short time later. He blinked his orange eyes a couple times before he went racing after them.
The trio of radaku were pretty quick, not to mention that they were a bit on the small side. If he had to guess he'd say that they were a trio of younger radaku, likely those that had been kicked out by their mother now that they were old enough to take care of themselves. That meant that they were skulking around the village in hopes of getting easy food now that their mother was no longer providing for them he though to himself, continuing along after them.
What he had to do then was figure out where they were going, what they were up to, and how he could go about scaring them enough that they didn't come back. If they came back then they would definitely get themselves killed. Something that would be a shame and a waste since he felt that the creatures were so useful. Radaku could do so many things after all. They could carry packs, carry weapons, carry smaller people, they could guard people, guard other animals, guard homes, they were friendly, and they were warm. There were so many reasons to have radaku around as pets. Dinis was able to do many of those things himself making him a fast friend. With this in mind he decided to change up his tactic. He meant to follow them, get a feel for where they were going, and then he'd send some other Guardians to be after them. They could use them in the same way that he could use Dinis, right? That would be far better then wasting them by just killing them or chasing them off.
After a while of following them for a while he lost track of one of the radaku but he was able to follow at least two of them back to what he assumed was their den. He made note of where it was before he skulked away, not wanting to be spotted. He'd see about reporting back, letting the other Alkidike know what he'd found, and they could decide who to send to tame and make use of the young radaku pups.
