Earlier that day, she's stood on an alien world. A world that bore her name, yet she was sure watched her with the disinterest and perhaps even distain of a veteran watching a greenhorn wobble onto the field with wide eyes. You don't belong here.
Yet she'd opened that door. Used the crystal to activate the gateway that had first deemed her a trespasser and nothing more. What to do next, well, that was still elusive for her. She stood in that giant repository of gateways and had no means to escape save the basic return to Earth function on her damn phone. Each time she'd gone back to that world, voices swirled in her head, hands that weren't hers moved in her vision.
She'd sat for hours in her apartment, staring out the window from her bed without seeing the city beyond it. There wasn't enough that she understood about that world. Or anything in connection to how those worlds and senshi... work.
There wasn't a lot she knew in specific detail when it came to the war and being a senshi, really, if she was being honest with herself. She knew how to fight. But was that really enough..?
It was a spur of the moment that had Kailey sending out a mass text to the others--the others that were, it seemed, connected somehow to her and Alex.
Hey guys! Night out tonight? Great way to keep warm and work off some of the holiday stress before everything really hits the fan.
She'd included a quick few options for where to begin that night, for those interested, and the vote came back--eventually--as an old community center along the outskirts of the city. Not horrible to get to when powered, and would give them plenty of space to train in private. Not to mention having a cat there to help reduce their power signatures.
As Kailey went off to collect Alex before henshining up and heading out with Arthuradel, she really did think it'd be enough.
Like hell would she have brought them together if she'd been aware of how ******** wrong she was.
Yellow streetlights illuminated much of the derelict building, graffiti covering the brick and concrete exterior. Old benches were warped and twisted from years of kids and adults likely messing with the metal frames and bending them, further corroded by rust from weather exposure. Forboding from the outside, sure, and as they entered through a broken and semi-barred door--some of the planks having been broken off ages ago to allow people to enter--Morgan was quick to point out that people had to stay on a particular path coming in to not risk getting jabbed by something. The main entryway she knew of required heading down the somewhat visible worn path, around the building to the back of it. Beyond that entry though, the jumbled heaps of trash and debris from the building and years of neglect faded into an empty lot, and beyond that, the tree line that would eventually lead back towards the main road and easy access back to the city proper.
Inside though, the clutter was far more organized. Areas were cleared, with old tables that had fared far better being set up as actual sitting spaces, along with old chairs. Others were stacked up along the sides of the rooms, offering places for people to walk, even sleep as evidence showed in some of the rooms. "People usually come in here for dance groups, or fight groups," she explained, nodding a bit to some of the blood stains on the ground next to collections of cardboard used as mats for dancing. "Figure it can be a good enough place for us to meet, too."
{ Note: One round of just posting for the WM Senshi + Guardian, second ground will introduce Negas to screw things up. For reference, Negas will come in from the front, battle will be out in the junk area into the empty lot, and Arthurians will 99% escape via the forest. }
