Peppermint Coffee Yes that is a rick and morty reference. On a more serious note I imagine this rp takes place before the celebration. The pride had migrated successfully to the lands of legend and it seemed like the pride was getting everything that was promised. The waters were rich with plenty of sea life for the pride to eat, the caverns had the most crystals that Faun ever had laid eyes on, and the beaches were silver. The lands were almost unreal but here the pride stood and here they would stay hopefully for generations to come. Faun was not sure he could handle another migration any time soon. One migration was more than enough for many life times. A much needed inspection for one of the older caverns was done so Faun was finding his schedule pretty free for him to wander about the pridal lands and do what it was he pleased. This wasn't a luxury Faun got often so he wasn't about to have it go to waste. Selfishly, the silver lion laid him self out on the silver sands of the beach to enjoy the sun and serene sounds of the oceans waves lightly lapping at the shore. The tide was low exposing much of its rich treasures to the elements. Faun found himself watching a flock of seagulls swoop down once in a while to steal some of the poor sea creatures who had the misfortune to not get out further to the ocean before low tide. There was also a rich smell of the sea that accompanied low tide which Faun admittedly liked. It smelled like food and what lion didn't like food after all. The high lord flopped to his side and closed his eyes for a moment allowing himself to enjoy the scene as best as he could. This was a nice change of pace from constantly wondering if things would be okay now that things were okay.

With the pride moved to their homelands, everything settled into perfection. They had food, water, crystals, beautiful females... He could take his pick if he were so inclined. Too bad he was a very serious male. Elendil'Surion stretched himself out completely as he looked for his brother. After stumbling across him and feeling the pull, he didn't want to be separated from Faun too often. Maybe he had abandonment issues, maybe he was anxious, but he really just liked being around his brother. When he saw his brother laid out on his side, the darker of the pair moved to flop down right beside him, legs sticking out, facing Faun. "Taking a break from being responsible?"

Faun's lazily rolled on to his back and turned his head slowly to face his brother. The high lord was always happy to have Ele around. His brother helped him feel grounded and that was exactly what Faun needed when he was feeling the weight of the pride on his shoulders. "Responsibility needs to take a break from me. We've had a talk about our relationship lately and think we should take things slow for the afternoon," The softer gray lion joked. He reached out his paws towards his brothers and lightly tapped them. "How about you Ele? How is this new land treating you?" He flopped back on to his belly from his back now facing his brother at a less silly angle.

He couldn't help but laugh at his brother's words and just grinned at him in an overly fond manner. Ele could never stay that serious around his family, despite the outward appearance he wished he could show them. He shook out his dark mane and rolled over to press himself to the other lion's side, maybe to just annoy him or something. Ele didn't really care. He just missed being with family members. "I was going to tell you to get back to work, but I don't know if I actually want to get back to work myself." A yawn escaped the darker of the two and he let his tail thump in the earth. "So you're now a big deal, eh? Pretty interesting to think about considering we both ate bugs at some point on a dare."

Ah, there was a laugh. The sound of his brother laughing was always a welcomed sound and Faun took pride any time he managed to get his brother to chuckle. It wasn't always an easy task with some one so serious. The gray lion sighed. "I was afraid when you approached that might be the case. But I am glad you agree on taking it easy," He admitted. "I think the pride will survive one afternoon with out us. Unless it sinks to the bottom of the sea or something..." Usually, Faun was more on the serious side him self. Not as serious as Ele but still more formal. Around his brother he felt at ease because, as Ele just stated, the two had eaten bugs together on a dare among other things. "Hey now. Don't go telling anyone about that," He knew Ele would never dare. "And... I wouldn't say that I'm a big shot. I'm merely taking on a great deal of what needs to get done." There was a sigh, "I'm honored others wanted me to take this role but some times... It's so much stuff. I don't know if they were mistaken some times.... I want to live up to their expectations but what if I fail and everything collapses?" This was a real worry for Faun. He wanted to make sure the pride wanted for nothing and that this was truly the place of legend that was promised.

"Don't even jinx us like that, Faun," Ele scolded lightly. He stretched his legs out, shoving at his brother since he'd gotten so close. All this time he'd been silently inching up on Faun just to give him a shove. Ever modest, Ele rolled himself over and leand against Faun fully. "Brother, taking on responsibilities such as you did is something to be proud of. I couldn't have pulled off what you've done." Then came the topic of Faun feels like they were mistaken and Ele rolled onto his stomach, crossing his front paws as he cleared his throat. "I believe in fate. The gods have something in store for all of us. What happens is supposed to. You're supposed to lead this misfit band of lions," Ele stopped to have a laugh, showing he meant the words in jest. "You're doing a good job. Everyone's happy... There are couples roaming around, and that means cubs soon enough. No one would be having cubs if they didn't feel safe and secure. You're the cause of that."

There was a shove and Faun couldn't help but laugh. "You think I'd out you? That would mean I'd have to out me." He wasn't about to do that. After all, the pride needed to take him seriously as their leader. His brother was actually doing a pretty damn good job of making Faun feel better. It felt like Ele was taking some of the weight off of his shoulders. Faun didn't realize but this sort of support was exactly what he needed right now. It wasn't something he'd say out loud but he was pretty sure if Ele wasn't here right now he'd not have the heart to lead. "I.... You're right. We should trust the gods after all. They can see things a lot clearer than any of us can." Oh. Right. Cubs. Couples. That was important for their survival and Ele was right. If there weren't couples coupling up that would be a problem but already there were two married couples and others that seemed possibly interested in having cubs of their own. "You know the prides going to look to us for us to have cubs. It'll be important to have cubs," He sighed. He wasn't sure he was ready for that just yet but as High Lord he would need an heir. Faun had been so busy he hadn't had the time to get romantic. "Are there any ladies that catch your eye brother?"

Ladies that caught his attention? Ele shook his head and turned completely away from his brother. He huffed a little more and just let his tail thump against the ground a little too hard for his liking. "No. I don't... approach anyone but you." And it was true. He didn't know a single other person in this pride but Faun. In a way, Ele knew it was completely stupid to do something like that, not talk to anyone but he was so awkward it hurt. It wasn't like they were born and raised to be flourishing little social lions. Maji wasn't that, and he seemed to be unbending, like a fossilized branch. He was more rooted to the earth than a tree. Ele sighed hard at his own thoughts before looking back at Faun. "I don't think cub having is in the stars for me."

"A lady may approach you one day," Faun was teasing but only slightly. The truth was that because of their titles it was likely the two would be expected to have a family. Faun wasn't fully eager on the idea him self but he had less of a choice in this matter than any of the nobles. Cubs would be around the corner soon breathing in lives that would only know life in this new land they'd founded. These thoughts of the pride only stirred up more thoughts about the duties he was avoiding which turned the high lords stomach. He was not ready to head back to his duties just yet but there wasn't much of a choice. Sighing, Faun got back to his paws and stretched. "I .. got some stuff to do. This thing being the high lord and all..." He yawned, "Thank you for taking some weight off my shoulders and talking with me Ele. You're a really good brother."

A lady may approach him? Ele doubted it, but he held his tongue. His brother stretched, suddenly and got up and Ele mimicked his actions. "Of course. I want you to be able to have a clear head. I'll help where I can." He dipped his head and offered the other male the faintest smile. "I will see you around."
