Kamau was a little way from the celebration he could still here, he volunteered to go on patrol walked across the beautiful silver sands that were his new home. He started his way to the border of Mirilli'tavari territory. He was glad for the reprieve from the excitement and many pride members that were thrilled and excited by their new home. Even with the rain and wind that blew through his fur. He wasn't bothered by the wind and rain, in the time getting here there had been weather patterns it was just part of life there was no one besides perhaps a god who could control such things.

He shook out his coat and looked around his ears focused on listening for any sounds near him and he did his best to scent but with the rain, it was no easy task. Rain and scenting did not go well together. His tail moved back and forth as he moved along the path he had laid out when he had become a Chevalier he had figure out where his guard path would go with the help of the high Chevalier who was in charge of the guards. He kept his eyes as sharp as he could with the rain and wind in his face. Regardless he was content with less partying.

Kamau bowed his head respectfully to the female lion who asked him if he was a ghost or if he was real. He gave her a funny look not really worried about her size, there were lions of all sorts, it hadn't crossed his mind yet that she was a goddess and not just a large lioness. Since he had not met a goddess or god before he didn't really have a line on what the difference was. "No, I am not a ghost, merely a white lion, and a guard." He answered simply. She was a very pretty color he noticed that even though there was rain in his eyes. He wouldn't tell her as much though because Kamau wasn't a very chatty lion. He was actually fairly shy when it came to females. He had little experience with females, he had once roamed the land as a rouge, living for himself before he discovered the pride and had joined them as a guard.

"Is there something else I can help you with?" He asked looking back at the party wondering why she wasn't down their with everyone else, rather than over here with him at the border of their lands.

He nodded and turned to get back to work until she asked to chat and introduced herself. "I am Kamau." His tone was low and steady. "I joined in order to protect others." He said simply. He did not have a greater answer. He did not feel he needed protection for himself, that was not why he had joined the pride. He had not been chasing a female as some males might when joining a pride. He was a born protector and before he had no one to protect and that made him unhappy.

He shrugged his shoulders "I need nothing else to make me happy at this time, perhaps someday I will want something more. What is it you want?" He said trying to change the subject to her instead of him so she could do the talking and he could listen. He frowned "Why would I lie about such a question?" He asked confused. He blinked a moment and looked at her again and whipped his paw across his eyes to see her better. Then he shook his head "Even if I had noticed from the start I would not have lied. Mortal or God the truth is important." He said in a firm voice. He shook his head again. "You're company is fine Anza. I just don't like loud parties that is why I volunteered to work."

He smiled at her and then said "I would like to father cubs, I will have to seek a female and see if I can bring some new life to the pride, that would be a good thing I think." He wasn't too worried since he would just be the father and their mother would have the control over staying or going where they wished it was the way of life. Unless you took a mate and agreed to stay together forever. He nodded "Yes this is home and I am grateful to be here where I can help protect the pride it is good to feel needed."

He nodded and then said "Thank you for your company perhaps I will see you later then Anza." He said in a polite tone. Then he headed off to finish his patrol.
