I decided to touch base on the subject I mentioned in the "blood types" thread here instead. After googling "Japanese Horoscopes" I got this site here: http://japan.chez-alice.fr/Horoscope/Japan/horoscope.htmWhat I didn't know is that the eastern horoscope was all that extended... I mean sure it's not that far ahead of me, but I didn't know there were 2 more other animal signs to influence my personality. Here is what I got: My Birth Sign: The Tiger My outward personality My Lunar Animal: The Goat My personality in relationships with others And my most interesting sign... My Ascendant (or Horary) Animal: The Hare/Rabbit My True Nature What's interesting about that last sign is that it's what makes me shrewd, intuitive, and discreet. I took a further look into my Chinese Astrology book and it said that rabbits are withdrawn, detached, and aloof... which by the way couldn't describe me better! PLUS what's interesting is that my horary or ascendant sign of the eastern zodiac determines my INNER self while my ascendant sign of the star zodiac determines my OUTER self, it being Sagittarius. And yet both systems of astrology seems to depict me perfectly! Amazing, huh?

You know what.. I just did mine and it is eerily on the dot about how I feel inside, and how I deal with other people. eek
I love astrology... people should really take it more seriously, as I discussed with you before in our PMs. 3nodding
BTW my three signs are the Rat, Hare, and Dragon.

Wisteria Darling You know what.. I just did mine and it is eerily on the dot about how I feel inside, and how I deal with other people. eek I love astrology... people should really take it more seriously, as I discussed with you before in our PMs. 3nodding BTW my three signs are the Rat, Hare, and Dragon. I just find it incredible that while in the western horoscope system my inward personality or ego was left up to whatever area the sun was in at the time I was born in which the sun is the most important sign and was in the sign of Capricorn at the time. Then I get the impression that the Rising or Ascendant is just something minor to color the personality of the sun sign. However, in the eastern horoscope system, my Ascendant is something much more important and colors my personality the best in respect to my Tiger sign as I hardly ever act very much like a Tiger sign as it has been impicated. Because of my Hare rising I'm so far away from the typical Tiger sign there's no way you could tell I was a Tiger, or at least not right up front. I was always thrown off by why I didn't act like such a energetic and impulsive Tiger sign until I until I found what my ascendant was, the detached and aloof Hare sign. That right there explained everything!  How can both zodiac systems be so different and yet still touchdown right on the mark!?! eek That is so wild to me! sweatdrop

I found another site that runs a concept I'd have never predicted anyone would try: How both eastern AND western zodiacs affect you altogether!

I've been trying to get into blood type horoscopes more now and I got a few ideas on what which type I could be, but I still gotta get tested to make sure... 3nodding

Here's what I got. Birth: Horse, Lunar: Dragon, Horary: Tiger. Two of them said I was Daring, Dynamic, and Independent. I'd have to have someone other than myself tell me it's accurate to be sure.

I mean, I am an Aries has I told you but I totally do not act like an Aries.. and of course, in Western astrology sun signs are king, barely anyone knows their lunar signs at all, and finding mine out cleared up a lot of questions for me! Japanese do tons of blood type experiments, like tests to show how much alike people of certain blood types act. For example, the invited families who's entire members are the same blood type to make and decorate a cake: and each cake was incredibly different and showed the nuances of the blood types personality. An even more out-there experiment they did.. was ask kids of the same bloodtype (O) from around the world to draw on a giant piece of paper and play with a foreigner i.e. someone who didn't know their language. They did Japan, Africa, America and India. The STRANGEST thing is that it appears the personality attributed to the Japanese blood type O was the same in every country save for India. eek Most O kids were outgoing and wanted to interact with their foreign playmate despite the language barrier, and their drawings were huge and colorful. But the O kids from India were quiet, introverted, and didn't play with the foreigner, and their drawings were tiny and close together to eachother's on the giant paper. So I'm guessing that the blood type personality may not hold up in other parts of the world. Mind-boggling huh?

Provided I'm affected by my blood as I would be if I were born in Japan, I think I would be a B or AB at most... At first I thought I was more AB, that is until I actually read over the B-type characteristics and saw that B-types stand a chance of being distant and aloof because they follow their minds before their emotions... And THATS a real big thing for me... I'm really big on masking my emotions and that couldn't help but stand out for me... This makes me all the more eager to get blood tested! xd I wanna know what I am dammit! domokun

I seem to run into a lot of Horse signs on Gaia... confused Well, I am turning sixteen next month. There are a lot of youngsters on Gaia, but most of the people I talk to are older, I don't know their signs though.

That was pretty good. The second one was pretty much right on the money though (Leo/Monkey). Although I'm not really into horoscopes and such I've always thought it was cool I was a monkey in the chinese zodiac because that fits me well (that and the dog if I'm thinking right). It seems with thing where more than one thing is an option my signs contradict.

I just tried the one horoscope that combines both Eastern and Western signs, it seems pretty accurate. I'm a Taurus and Horse, my Western sign is the same as my last name surprised . Anyway, these things can be pretty interesting, I try not to get too deep into it though.
