Waking to the still, silence of the welcoming chamber was odd, to say the very least. The warmth of his friend curled up against his side, the two nestled beneath the blankets as though they were on nothing more than an average camping trip, was a comfort. It made the daze of it all easier to deal with; a reminder that he wasn't alone in this strange place. He worked one hand free from beneath the tangle of blankets, rubbing at his face to work some of the sleep out of his eyes. After spending so many nights barely sleeping it felt so strange to have finally gotten rest. "Hart.... Hart? You awake?"

"No." Hartley's voice was muffled a bit from where his face was pressed into the pillows. Finally being able to get a proper night's sleep had been wonderful and he wasn't quite ready to give it up just yet. For the first time in days there hadn't been any dreams, no nightmares, no jolting awake with a panicked yell on his lips. Feeling Afton move about he yawned, shifting just a bit so he could blink sleepily up at his friend. "It's bright in here."

"Kinda...." It had gotten brighter than it had been hours ago when they'd arrived; the 'windows' still the same vibrant shades of turquoise and blue but the room itself giving of a feint, warm white glow from the ceiling. The effect was similar to sunlight spilling through curtains; something he'd yet to see during any of his previous trips here. "You sleep okay?" He reached out, gently tucking a strand of hair away from his friend's face. He didn't want to disturb Hartley too much if he still wanted to rest, but after spending so much time not sleeping himself he was going to find it difficult to sleep any longer.

"Yea, nothing weird happened." He smiled reaching up to rub at his eyes before he pushed himself up. He could probably sleep more, knowing he could sleep all day sometimes if given the chance, but if Afton was awake he should make an attempt to stay awake. "Does the light in here always change like daylight? Or ... have you been here enough to know that?"

"Every time I've been here it's always been like it was last night." Which made sense, honestly, considering he tended to visit in the evenings when he had absolutely nothing else to do. "It'd be kind of neat if it did-- might make the transition between this place and everywhere else seem more normal, right?" Not that being on another planet was really normal. "Hopefully the weird s**t will be over when we get back home. This was my one trip for the week." One solid night sleep should be enough to get them somewhere, he hoped.

"But you haven't been able to get out of this room?" Afton had mentioned something about not being able to leave this room, or open doors, or something like that. He couldn't quite remember but that seemed right since they had stayed there instead of finding some place that had a bed. He stretched once he was sitting up, back popping slightly. "Maybe we'll get lucky and it will all be over when we get back?"

"Not yet, but...I've also only been here like... Twice before." He'd taken a risk in bringing the two of them, which he'd explained to Hart in part the night before. He'd had enough faith in himself being able to do so that he'd considered it well worth it if it meant the two of them got a.good night's sleep. "There's probably a latch somewhere or something or.... This place is just waiting for me to accept it before it lets me venture any further. I don't know. I've never really played a video game like this before."

Hartley laughed softly as he pulled himself up, untangling himself from the blankets and pillows. "That's because it's not a video game. Don't people usually say reality is weirder than fiction?" He ran a hand through his hair before he went wandering over toward one of the windows again. The scenery outside hadn't changed, he almost hoped it had, but the light seemed a bit different. "Sumi's been helping me come to terms with it, all the weirdness but ..." He bit his lip as he wandered over toward one of the doors. "This is who I am and you did tell me once when we firs started talking that I had to be from another planet." He ran his fingers over one door, trying the handle just to see if it would work finally.

"Reality isn't supposed to be this weird." As Hart wandered around he started to gather the blankets, refolding them into a neat pile that would be easier to hold on to for the trip home. His hesitance along with the hard time he had coming to terms with all of this had to do something with his Wonder's lack of acceptance, he was certain. He was working on it. He was trying... That made a difference, right? "Joking that you're from a different planet is a lot different than waking up on another planet after falling asleep on another planet." He glanced over to his friend, watching as the wheel turned slightly in the other's hand before locking into place again. "It's done that before-- makes it seem like it's going to budge and then nothing. Place has a sense of humor."

Hartley looked down at the doorknob in his hand before huffing and setting his hands on his hips. "Well that's unacceptable. How am I supposed to see what it's like outside if I'm not allowed out there?" He was slightly tempted to kick the door but that seemed a little childish. How was Afton supposed to know what was on his wonder if all he could see was the main room? That didn't seem like it was helpful or useful. "At least you know you were right that I was from another planet?" He tossed a smile at Afton before prodding the door with a finger. "And you need to open."

"Maybe all that there is to Bermuda is this little room. No one said that Wonders had to be vast and impressive." It would somehow serve him right if all he got out of being a super hero was a small room that wasn't good for much beyond sleeping. He'd expected more out of it initially, he supposed, but he was at least coming to some sort of an acceptance with things. "Ready to head back home? Bathroom, breakfast... Being normal for a little bit of our day?"

"It would be a little unfair if all you got was an inside out fishbowl." He laughed softly, finally coming over so he could pick up some of the blankets so Afton didn't have to carry them all. HE would have thought something else would be out there but it was weird Afton couldn't get anywhere els.e "Home would be good though. Finally some normalcy would be nice too."

"I don't know if either of us will really ever have real 'normalcy' again, space man, but we can at least see about having an average breakfast." As comforting as it was to know that they'd spent the night somewhere safe, Afton was starting to get the strangest feeling that they were being watched. He didn't share that with Hartley, not wanting to alert his companion in any way. Instead he scooped up the blankets he'd dragged along under one arm, slipping the other around his friend before uttering the words to take them back home.
