Starts| NOW Ends | Roughly two weeks from now

Summary |

The pride had a long trek to get to these lands on faith that whispers and rumors were true. The journey was a tough one but the pride made it just fine and picked up more lions across the way. The lands seem to be everything and more that was promised in beauty and in haven.

However, with safe haven comes a small cost. The sky seems to be overcast most of the time threatening the new found pridal territory with storms and the beaches seem to be anything but calm. Waves seem to be more frequent and unfriendly than what is thought to be normal. It is like the ocean it self is trying to tell the pride something.

Despite all of this the oceans are fruitful and provide the pride with a grand feast of sea critters. It is a time of celebration and the pride is long over due to relax and allow them selves some time to relax and be merry. Samedi and Niite'Manu even took calm time to smash crystals and make that very serious commitment to each other. An unexpected marriage on top of the merriment was a welcome surprise as it symbolized the prides blood willingness to grow and flourish.

There is a misting of rain but no one seems to mind as it is always a little humid around the beach.

Interesting Topics |

((These are just suggestions of things your character could be focused on. This is not us telling you what to write about. ))
gaia_diamond A home at last! It is a great relief for the pride to finally be settling down.
gaia_diamond Samedi (Lady Kitania) and Niite'Manu (Alpaca Chobi) have gotten married! What a joyous union of two souls! What do the other Chevaliers think? (both characters are Chevaliers. Niite being a High Chevalier).
gaia_diamond There is so much food and an ever increasing presence of Gulls. Uh .. Guys.. The gulls?
gaia_diamond Are the waves getting choppier ?

The Weather |

The weather will continue to get worse and worse as the rp goes on. The mule will post every 72 hours or so to roll how bad the weather gets.

At the start of this RP the weather is overcast with a whistling wind and small misting of rain but nothing too bad as of yet. (The pride lions should be used to being a little damp)

Mule's dice will be a 10 sided dice. You'll see the prompts each number represents when the time comes for rolling.

None Member Players |

Don't have a lion? No problem! There are plenty of Sea Gulls around happily eyeing that feast the pride just had. Feel free to play a Gull if you'd like to take part in the ORP.

Members may also choose to play a Gull if they'd like. Please limit yourselves to one gull per player. We don't want giant groups of gulls by one player.

Prize |

We have an ideal coated male lion as a prize. He may take any position that is currently open. He MUST stay in the pride forever unless the pride is disbanded.

gaia_diamond We'll roll based on page / posts
gaia_diamond Do not spam post (back to back to back posting). This will disqualify you.
gaia_diamond You may gift the male to a friend if you choose but he must stay in this pride.

Nsundu had been working tirelessly ever since the pride had settled down. A Scribe, he took his responsibilities very seriously. There was much to do, after all. Hide preparation, organisation and recording, he lent a paw in all aspects, his face almost permanently in an expression of concentration. A murmur had begun amongst others working nearby. A celebration was to take place. They hummed with excitement and anticipation, but Nsundu merely shrugged. Surely there was more work to be done, couldn't the festivities wait? Soon though, the others had left for the gathering and he was alone.

He tinkered away for a little longer, but the idea of a pride gathering ate away at him. They'd all been working tirelessly since their arrival, it would be nice to have a chance to relax for a moment. Nsundu looked at the hide he was currently working on. Perhaps it could wait a few hours.

His mind changed, the brown lion left his work behind and arrived shortly after at the celebration, his frown of concentration still stuck on his face.

Kito wasn't sure what had made her decide to join the group of wandering lions on their venture to their new homes. Having just left a pride, and unsure of herself, the blue lioness was sure she'd be alone for a while. But talking to the travelling troupe had changed her mind, there was just something about them that she felt she needed to be a part of, and so she'd gone along. Quieter than most, she'd followed and dutifully took on her role within the Pride, lending a hand wherever needed. It felt good to be a part of something once more.

Word of the celebration had found her and she quietly made her way to join the festivities. There were many she had not gotten to know, still tending to keep to herself, but she thought it was time to let her guard down a bit. Her turquoise eyes shone bright despite the weather. It was a nice change from the Swamplands and plains they had trekked through. The gentle mist that rose from the sea brushed her face and she felt at peace.

This was her new home, and she was glad to be here.

Faun'Lómë couldn't be happier with the festivities with the pride. It had been a long journey and in all honesty the gray lion was tired. Rest was more than welcomed. However, Faun was pretty sure this was only the beginning of his worries. Things seemed calm right now but who knew when the next big thing would need him to take charge. At the very least the pride was safe now.

Faun sat at the center of the celebrations with a practiced but tired grin on his maw. He'd take part in the celebrations because that was what you did as a leader no matter how tired you were. Currently he was listening to Niite be super loud which Faun had to admit was quite amusing. He'd never let her know that he found it amusing though. Partly because Niite could be scary.

Niite'Manu was over the moon having just joined her self to Sam. She was not at all a blushing shy bride but a boastful loud with merriment sort. To anyone that was with in ear shot she was joyous and most importantly very very loud.

"I can't believe I married this idiot!~" There was a lot of endearment in her harsh words. This was just how Sam and Niite were to each other, "One moment I'm his superior and the next I'm his wife? BAH! Guess that's the magic of these crystals huh?" She let out a hardy laugh. "CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!? I MARRIED HIM!"

Tirion'Manu was quite happy for his sister. He really was. But at the same time he wanted to smack her for being so loud. Niite had no shame and that was something that Tirion had grown to accept in his life. He'd also grown to accept that there was no way in all of the hells he'd ever be able to beat her in a contest of physical strength. So, instead of complain he decided to allow him self some time to enjoy the festivities.

Which wasn't as amusing as he'd hoped for so the gray lion was quick to change his mind and wander about the crowd aimlessly until he quite literally bumped in to Nsundu.

"Oh sorry," He frowned at the brown male. "You're a scribe.. right?"

Renshu was staying to the side of the celebrations, choosing to look out at the ocean rather than really find company. He had a half eaten carcass in front of him, small but enough to make for a good meal for one, but he had stopped eating for the moment. Instead, he pondered over how rough the sea looked at the moment. He hoped that this was a good place for them to settle... but only time would tell.

With a sigh, he let his head drop down to thud against the ground. His paws were currently tucked underneath him, so much so that he probably looked rather ridiculous, but it left him warm and that was all he cared about at the moment. Not that it was particularly cold around here anyway, but he enjoyed heat regardless. It left him feeling almost sleepy.

But the presence of so many others near him left him on edge. He normally wouldn't be caught dead in gatherings like this... but it was meant to be a celebration, and admittedly... peer-pressure was a beast.

With a sigh, Ren tried to keep his focus out at the water instead.

Abiodun didn't mind the coming storm, she also didn't mind the lions that were appearing everywhere, she liked celebrations so this was certainly interesting to see. Considering that she was a seagull the misting rain didn't cause her any discomfort. She had been a seabird all of her life so a little storm would not make her run away and hide like some other birds. At worst she would have to go out to sea to make sure she was safe, for now, everything was fine and there was a party. The food the lions had gathered looked yummy but Abiodun didn't consider herself a rude gull, not that she wouldn't accept a free meal if she got the chance.

Dior had experienced rather harsh conditions while she had been in the roguelands and even when she had been with her family before that so a little storm wasn't about to phase the Lady in the pride. Vasilios wasn't too far away, the pale blue male rather excited to be able to begin his proper training in order to do his job the best way possible. He had sorta stuck close to Dior ever since he had met the tan lioness, she had shared her story with him and he had just absorbed it like a sponge, it was incredible the things one could go through and accomplish if pushed to it.

He wasn't all too sure how comfortable he was with the oncoming storm but he wasn't super concerned since not too many were acting nervously. He figured once the leaders got worried, then he could.

Dior was quite pleased that two of the Chevaliers had gotten married, it was joyous news indeed! She hoped to see little ones running around the pride soon enough.

Arestos circled over the festivities with interest, his white wings carrying him easily on the harsh winds. He had never seen a party before....not with so many lions, and the gull was curious. He heard a booming voice of one of the lions bragging about being married, and decided that was his way in. He coasted down and landed on the sands, carefully hunting around in the tide pools for something that would work. His beady eyes rested upon a pretty white and pink shell, and he picked it up.

It took only moments to split the shell open and eat the inhabitant. That done, he picked up the empty shell and flew over to the loud lion, squawking as he landed and dropped the shell in front of Niite'Manu, then hopping back to safety. "Congrats to the lady. A happy union." He sang out in his rough voice, tilting his head, "Here is a gift from the ocean. For our new neighbors."

((I hope this is ok, I'm rather new here))

Samedi breathed. He breathed deeply. His bright yellow eyes closed and then opened back up, a smile upon his maw. He stared out at the ocean, watching the waves roll about. It was kind of a crappy day to be honest, but it was the good kind of crappy. Yea sure, the weather was... Iffy, but there was a celebration to be had! After all, Sam and his now wife Niite had just been recently been married. Now though, Sam had a difficult decision to make. Should he take her last name? Hmmm... Thoughts for another time.

As a bird flew down and dropped a shell in front of Niite, congratulating them and the pride in general, Sam raised an eyebrow. Well then. That wasn't something he expected to see. Looking to his now brother-in-law, Sam shook his head as Niite continued to babble on. He gazed over at his now wife. He wanted to tell her to shut her yapper, but... Why not let her just have fun? He smiled and let her be. She'd surely be yelling at him sooner or later, in either love or rage or whatever she chose.

Tafari had traveled all the way with the group of lions that Faun led. He spent the majority of his time with the other, having felt a better affinity with him. He refused to lower himself to any other sort of mortal form.
As such it seemed as though they attracted a fair bit of attention and many goddesses had joined them along the way. He recognized one, the Goddess of Crystals and was happy to have her along. The other two, the Goddesses of Jewelry and Beginnings, were new to him, but he was certain they would get along all the same. They were, after all, a pride now.

He still stood close to the High Lord, as he was calling himself. He and the other godly sorts had been dubbed Divine Gems, which sounded pleasing to his ears,
so he didn't contradict it. He sat near Faun, glancing down at the other lion,
who looked weary, despite his cheery smile. Tafari's ear flicked and he almost looked concerned for the other.
"If you need to rest, I doubt our pride mates will make anything of it. They must see that you've had a hard time of it, perhaps more so than most, leading everyone here." He told his companion. "And if they do not see,I shall threaten divine wrath upon them or turn them to stone." He smiled a little at the joke, for while he could do such a thing, he would never use such a power against one of his own pride. "Really, though, Faun. Are you alright?"

Of course Epi had joined the celebrations. After all, one of her jobs as a scribe was to record what was going on in the pride and what happened. If she wasn't at the celebration herself, how would she later be able to record exactly what transpired on the hides? That's why she made sure to be one of the first there and her eyes rounded to perfect orbs as she took in the food before her. She scooped up a fish with a grin and trotted about to find someone who she could talk to.

She eventually settled on two lions, one a scribe she recognized to be always at work and the other... she didn't know. Beaming at the two of them, she grinned.
"Heya!" She chimed. "Great event, huh? I'm Epimetheus, but Epi works just fine. My name's a mouthful, I know." She introduced herself, sitting beside the two. "You're gonna have to pardon me, I'm awful with names. Who're you?"

Amare was a pleasant sort. A lover through and through. He had a wandering eye that had yet to settle, but his paws had found with him the pride he now resided in. He had been given a Soul Gem, which was exciting and had given him a little more than the "Shine" rank he had. As far as he could tell, the position was just for those who had joined along the way and didn't want to tie themselves to any work. Just the position for him.

It would let him explore more about what it was to be in a pride, he had told himself when he joined. That hadn't changed much and so he spent a lot of his time socializing with others and occasionally admiring those he thought beautiful.

Today, during the celebration, he thought to combine the two and approach one such lion who he had been admiring for a while. It was difficult to say, of course, whether his affection for lions was accepted or frowned upon yet in the pride or among others he was interested in, but he supposed that the truth would come out, one way or another, much like he had.

"Hey." He said, sitting next to the brown lion with striking dark markings on his legs. "Whatcha doing all the way over here, handsome?" Okay yeah, so he might be bold, but what was the harm? At the very least it meant he'd get an answer of interest or lack there of sooner, right?

Sorry for the impromptu flirting from Amare to Renshu. xD He finds it hard to ignore pretty lions.

Fanya also was keeping to the edge of the celebration favoring the sounds of the sea rather than the blatherings of Niite. He was happy for the marriage but Fanya was a scribe and a bit antisocial at that. Though the sight of Renshu lying down had him wandering over to see what was on the others mind.

"Hi.. Scribe right?" Fanya tilted his head at the fellow scribe. "Not much for parties?" There was a weak attempt at a smile.

He took a back seat as another male approached. Handsome? He wasn't talking to him he was sure. Fanya decided to sit back and watch this though.

Niite'Manu was laughing and boasting when suddenly a shell appeared and a feathered creature was congratulating her. Her mouth opened half way in a bit of a surprise. The shell it self was lovely and the usually tough lioness was having trouble communicating her feelings to this gull.

"I-I..." She stammered for a moment before looking to Sam. "SAM! Look! We are blessed by this gull." She was having trouble expressing her self as that wasn't her strong suit.

She noticed another gull a little ways off from them and gave them as much of a smile as Niite was able to.

"Did you gulls come to celebrate with us?"

Nilak had been there for the whole celebration despite the feeling he'd really rather be exploring the caverns. There were so many crystals that he felt he may never need to leave the caverns again. This was his lifes work right here, and thanks to the traveling pride, his dreams were coming true.

Since he was already away from his studies he decided to try to be social so he approached a brown lioness with a very vividly coated male to strike up a conversation.

"Weddings huh?" Nilak said like he was trying to say more. The honest truth was he really wasn't trying to say anything. Just stating the facts.

Tafari got Faun to laugh a good hardy laugh. It was honestly what the gray lion had needed all along but the tiredness remained. It was at least a little more bearable now.

"It would be interesting addition to the landscape would it not? A silver beach full of lion shaped rocks. Now that would be a sight." Of course Faun was joking.

"I promise I'll head to bed once I make sure everything has wrapped up nicely. I feel responsible." There was a grim weight edged in to those words. It was true he had all of their lives in his paw. At least that was how Faun felt. Faun was having a lot of trouble turning off his survival leader mode from the journey and relaxing. Being honored with representing the pride had a toll and Faun was willing to pay it.

"What about you Tafari. What do you think of all of this? " Faun looked up to the giant rock god with a tired but endearing grin.

Another scribe had joined Tirion'Manu and the other male. Tirion smiled.

"Epi huh? That's alot easier." He admitted, "My names Tirion'manu but I go by just Tirion. Manu is sort of a family name...." He lowered his head realizing that Niite'manu being loud may be giving that family name a lot of unwanted attention right now.

"But.. yeah. Celebrations huh? Honestly I am not even sure what I'd write about this occasion. Sister makes a** of her self? That seems a little mean," There was a grin on his maw. "But .. maybe.."

The gull covered his beak with one wing and chuckled lightly, before giving a bow. "My name is Arestos. I was just flying by and heard your glee and felt that I had to do something nice for such a lucky lioness. Your flock is new here. I've not seen this many lions here before." He said, fluffing his feathers and laying them down as he carefully folded his wings along his sides."I thought it would be a nice peace offering...gulls do not taste very good." He warned.

Renshu froze when he was approached, trying not to panic at the sight of the other male. He was pretty sure he recognized this one though, having seen him among the other Scribes at one point or another, and that, at least, made him feel marginally better. They had something in common. That was probably a good place to start in a conversation, right?

So, the brown lion gave a tiny, quick nod as an answer to both questions, "I'm just not a big fan of... big groups...." Which was an understatement, if the timid voice didn't give it away. Plus... he didn't know what to say now.

But apparently the choice was taken from him regardless. Focused as he was on Fanya, he didn't notice the other lion approaching until he spoke, and even then, he mostly just stared with wide eyes as he sat down next to him.

There was a beat before he realized that he had addressed him, and it left Renshu stuttering out nervously, "U-um, I just, I...." He cast an uncertain glance back and Fanya, before seemingly trying to melt further into the ground, "I-I'm, I didn't feel like..." His voice seemed to get quieter as he spoke, ".. I don't really like big crowds...."

Fea'alu was off on her own again. That was to be expected with the lioness, however. Even while travelling to these lands, she had often wandered off, entranced by something in the distance. She must have been born with a good sense of direction, because she always found her way back home. Never had she worried anyone with her disappearance, though now she wasn't so sure...

The blue lioness glanced back over her shoulder and to the pride behind her, watching their merriment with silent fondness. This was a good start. There was enthusiasm and hope in their movements, kindness and affection for one another in their expressions. She hoped the memories of this day would carry them well into the future.

Then she looked away, back to the sea. She had been on the beach for a while now, sitting silently. Her body had sunk into the sand a little, though it cushioned her so nicely that she found herself to be rather comfortable where she was. Green eyes cast out over the water, watching the choppy waves crash angrily towards the shore. It seemed as if the water was coming in. She had not moved, but it had definitely drawn closer to her. In a while, her paws would be wet, but she wasn't even sure if that would be enough to move her.

Fea'alu was very content where she was. Alone, it was easier to observe her surroundings and take in the wonders of their new home land. She took everything in stride, and was in no rush to wander from one discovery to the next. She would just soak in this moment, and remember.
