Nsundu had been working tirelessly ever since the pride had settled down. A Scribe, he took his responsibilities very seriously. There was much to do, after all. Hide preparation, organisation and recording, he lent a paw in all aspects, his face almost permanently in an expression of concentration. A murmur had begun amongst others working nearby. A celebration was to take place. They hummed with excitement and anticipation, but Nsundu merely shrugged. Surely there was more work to be done, couldn't the festivities wait? Soon though, the others had left for the gathering and he was alone.
He tinkered away for a little longer, but the idea of a pride gathering ate away at him. They'd all been working tirelessly since their arrival, it would be nice to have a chance to relax for a moment. Nsundu looked at the hide he was currently working on. Perhaps it could wait a few hours.
His mind changed, the brown lion left his work behind and arrived shortly after at the celebration, his frown of concentration still stuck on his face.
Kito wasn't sure what had made her decide to join the group of wandering lions on their venture to their new homes. Having just left a pride, and unsure of herself, the blue lioness was sure she'd be alone for a while. But talking to the travelling troupe had changed her mind, there was just something about them that she felt she needed to be a part of, and so she'd gone along. Quieter than most, she'd followed and dutifully took on her role within the Pride, lending a hand wherever needed. It felt good to be a part of something once more.
Word of the celebration had found her and she quietly made her way to join the festivities. There were many she had not gotten to know, still tending to keep to herself, but she thought it was time to let her guard down a bit. Her turquoise eyes shone bright despite the weather. It was a nice change from the Swamplands and plains they had trekked through. The gentle mist that rose from the sea brushed her face and she felt at peace.
This was her new home, and she was glad to be here.

Renshu was staying to the side of the celebrations, choosing to look out at the ocean rather than really find company. He had a half eaten carcass in front of him, small but enough to make for a good meal for one, but he had stopped eating for the moment. Instead, he pondered over how rough the sea looked at the moment. He hoped that this was a good place for them to settle... but only time would tell.
With a sigh, he let his head drop down to thud against the ground. His paws were currently tucked underneath him, so much so that he probably looked rather ridiculous, but it left him warm and that was all he cared about at the moment. Not that it was particularly cold around here anyway, but he enjoyed heat regardless. It left him feeling almost sleepy.
But the presence of so many others near him left him on edge. He normally wouldn't be caught dead in gatherings like this... but it was meant to be a celebration, and admittedly... peer-pressure was a beast.
With a sigh, Ren tried to keep his focus out at the water instead.

Arestos circled over the festivities with interest, his white wings carrying him easily on the harsh winds. He had never seen a party before....not with so many lions, and the gull was curious. He heard a booming voice of one of the lions bragging about being married, and decided that was his way in. He coasted down and landed on the sands, carefully hunting around in the tide pools for something that would work. His beady eyes rested upon a pretty white and pink shell, and he picked it up.
It took only moments to split the shell open and eat the inhabitant. That done, he picked up the empty shell and flew over to the loud lion, squawking as he landed and dropped the shell in front of Niite'Manu, then hopping back to safety. "Congrats to the lady. A happy union." He sang out in his rough voice, tilting his head, "Here is a gift from the ocean. For our new neighbors."
((I hope this is ok, I'm rather new here))

Samedi breathed. He breathed deeply. His bright yellow eyes closed and then opened back up, a smile upon his maw. He stared out at the ocean, watching the waves roll about. It was kind of a crappy day to be honest, but it was the good kind of crappy. Yea sure, the weather was... Iffy, but there was a celebration to be had! After all, Sam and his now wife Niite had just been recently been married. Now though, Sam had a difficult decision to make. Should he take her last name? Hmmm... Thoughts for another time.
As a bird flew down and dropped a shell in front of Niite, congratulating them and the pride in general, Sam raised an eyebrow. Well then. That wasn't something he expected to see. Looking to his now brother-in-law, Sam shook his head as Niite continued to babble on. He gazed over at his now wife. He wanted to tell her to shut her yapper, but... Why not let her just have fun? He smiled and let her be. She'd surely be yelling at him sooner or later, in either love or rage or whatever she chose.

Tafari had traveled all the way with the group of lions that Faun led. He spent the majority of his time with the other, having felt a better affinity with him. He refused to lower himself to any other sort of mortal form. As such it seemed as though they attracted a fair bit of attention and many goddesses had joined them along the way. He recognized one, the Goddess of Crystals and was happy to have her along. The other two, the Goddesses of Jewelry and Beginnings, were new to him, but he was certain they would get along all the same. They were, after all, a pride now.
He still stood close to the High Lord, as he was calling himself. He and the other godly sorts had been dubbed Divine Gems, which sounded pleasing to his ears, so he didn't contradict it. He sat near Faun, glancing down at the other lion, who looked weary, despite his cheery smile. Tafari's ear flicked and he almost looked concerned for the other. "If you need to rest, I doubt our pride mates will make anything of it. They must see that you've had a hard time of it, perhaps more so than most, leading everyone here." He told his companion. "And if they do not see,I shall threaten divine wrath upon them or turn them to stone." He smiled a little at the joke, for while he could do such a thing, he would never use such a power against one of his own pride. "Really, though, Faun. Are you alright?"
Of course Epi had joined the celebrations. After all, one of her jobs as a scribe was to record what was going on in the pride and what happened. If she wasn't at the celebration herself, how would she later be able to record exactly what transpired on the hides? That's why she made sure to be one of the first there and her eyes rounded to perfect orbs as she took in the food before her. She scooped up a fish with a grin and trotted about to find someone who she could talk to.
She eventually settled on two lions, one a scribe she recognized to be always at work and the other... she didn't know. Beaming at the two of them, she grinned. "Heya!" She chimed. "Great event, huh? I'm Epimetheus, but Epi works just fine. My name's a mouthful, I know." She introduced herself, sitting beside the two. "You're gonna have to pardon me, I'm awful with names. Who're you?"
Amare was a pleasant sort. A lover through and through. He had a wandering eye that had yet to settle, but his paws had found with him the pride he now resided in. He had been given a Soul Gem, which was exciting and had given him a little more than the "Shine" rank he had. As far as he could tell, the position was just for those who had joined along the way and didn't want to tie themselves to any work. Just the position for him.
It would let him explore more about what it was to be in a pride, he had told himself when he joined. That hadn't changed much and so he spent a lot of his time socializing with others and occasionally admiring those he thought beautiful.
Today, during the celebration, he thought to combine the two and approach one such lion who he had been admiring for a while. It was difficult to say, of course, whether his affection for lions was accepted or frowned upon yet in the pride or among others he was interested in, but he supposed that the truth would come out, one way or another, much like he had.
"Hey." He said, sitting next to the brown lion with striking dark markings on his legs. "Whatcha doing all the way over here, handsome?" Okay yeah, so he might be bold, but what was the harm? At the very least it meant he'd get an answer of interest or lack there of sooner, right?
MangaMeow Sorry for the impromptu flirting from Amare to Renshu. xD He finds it hard to ignore pretty lions.

Renshu froze when he was approached, trying not to panic at the sight of the other male. He was pretty sure he recognized this one though, having seen him among the other Scribes at one point or another, and that, at least, made him feel marginally better. They had something in common. That was probably a good place to start in a conversation, right?
So, the brown lion gave a tiny, quick nod as an answer to both questions, "I'm just not a big fan of... big groups...." Which was an understatement, if the timid voice didn't give it away. Plus... he didn't know what to say now.
But apparently the choice was taken from him regardless. Focused as he was on Fanya, he didn't notice the other lion approaching until he spoke, and even then, he mostly just stared with wide eyes as he sat down next to him.
There was a beat before he realized that he had addressed him, and it left Renshu stuttering out nervously, "U-um, I just, I...." He cast an uncertain glance back and Fanya, before seemingly trying to melt further into the ground, "I-I'm, I didn't feel like..." His voice seemed to get quieter as he spoke, ".. I don't really like big crowds...."

Fea'alu was off on her own again. That was to be expected with the lioness, however. Even while travelling to these lands, she had often wandered off, entranced by something in the distance. She must have been born with a good sense of direction, because she always found her way back home. Never had she worried anyone with her disappearance, though now she wasn't so sure...
The blue lioness glanced back over her shoulder and to the pride behind her, watching their merriment with silent fondness. This was a good start. There was enthusiasm and hope in their movements, kindness and affection for one another in their expressions. She hoped the memories of this day would carry them well into the future.
Then she looked away, back to the sea. She had been on the beach for a while now, sitting silently. Her body had sunk into the sand a little, though it cushioned her so nicely that she found herself to be rather comfortable where she was. Green eyes cast out over the water, watching the choppy waves crash angrily towards the shore. It seemed as if the water was coming in. She had not moved, but it had definitely drawn closer to her. In a while, her paws would be wet, but she wasn't even sure if that would be enough to move her.
Fea'alu was very content where she was. Alone, it was easier to observe her surroundings and take in the wonders of their new home land. She took everything in stride, and was in no rush to wander from one discovery to the next. She would just soak in this moment, and remember.
