Breeding | Marriage | Divorce

Breeding | No rogue breeding. Period. While it is preferred that a pair be mated, it is also understood that sometimes members of the pride may engage in breeding without being mates with in the pride.

xxxxxxxx→ Exception 1 | There are special circumstances that allow for rogue breeding. (ex - Meta or Special Event or Plot worked out ahead of time with owners. )

xxxxxxxx→ Exception 2| You posted for a breeding before you joined the pride. If a male member, the cubs will have no effect on the father. If a female member, there may be IC whispers but they will assume one of the pride member males may be the father and that they may not be stepping up to claim their cubs.

Marriage | A bonding of a pair is a special event for the pride. The ceremony consists of the couple placing two crystals next to each other and breaking the crystals into shards, representing the twos legacy carrying on together instead of separate.

xxxxxxxx→ OOC Advantage | Marrying two characters means you only need to register them once and never have to post for a breeding again between those two characters.

xxxxxxxx→ IC Advantage | It is considered very respectable to bond your soul with another. The pride looks favorably on marriage.

Divorce |While the pride is very lenient and lax about most things relationship-wise, they are pretty harsh about divorce. Marriage is a thing the pride believes is a bonding of the souls so to break this is very taboo. While it is a possibility to get a divorce, it does add a social stigma to your character(s). Members may be kicked out entirely if they get multiple divorces as their soul may be seen as shattered.

xxxxxxxx→ OOC Uses | To free up your character if they were mated and you no longer wish for them to be.

xxxxxxxx→ IC Disadvantage | This is not something the pride looks at favorably. It is possible some members may not treat your character the same after a divorce. If you're looking for a plot with drama this is a good route. We ask that you don't go too crazy as the lions may kick your character out if you have too many. More than two may be a bit much for most of the pride. We're always happy to help with drama if that is what you want.
