Away AwayMelvin waited at the lighthouse, a bag packed for more tropical weather which wasn't hard when you lived on a island. His jacket gone, he was wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers. He had switched out his usual glasses for his other pair, something more traditional in appearance and one he wouldn't be too upset if he lost them somewhere, and waited for Zeke.

Away away Surprise me, he'd said when asked about desired locations and leave. He'd been all over at this point, hot and sunny, snowy, and all over in between. So it didn't really matter to him. Knowing Melvin though, and their shared interest, it hadn't been unexpected when the blonde had told him to back for warm weather. So that was what he'd done. Walking up to the portal, he'd traded in his jacket for a heather v-neck tee shirt in charcoal grey, a pair of older jeans that had started life dark, but had faded out and developed holes in the knees, and a pair of black converse. He had a small dufflebag skiing over one shoulder, and a pair of dark glasses covering his eyes.

Away. Away.
"Nice glasses, bro." Melvin teased as he meet Zeke and gestured to the portal. He already gave clearance on where they were headed.
On thr other side the dead end of a shirt street was hidden by brush and palm trees. The ground was a mix of earth and sand amd seagulls and various birds clattered for free pickings from tourists. Adjusting his pack, he looked back at Zeke. "Riviera Maya. Mexico." He informed him and headed down the walk.

SpicyMelvin sat down at one of the outside tables with his plate from a open resturant. The places smelled of grilled meat and played music he didn't understand and was energetic. He'd wanted tacos and had several with him coated in a rusty red. Condiments were left out on the metal table.
"What you get?" He asked, reaching for his glass of whiskey.

Away away"Thanks." They were useful and stylish, and Melvin could tease all he wanted, but Zeke would be the one not squinting in the sun. He flashed the blonde a grin before they headed into the lighthouse and through the portal, stepping out into weather that was almost identical, but the scenery was a little off. For one thing, there were animals, even in the short alley they'd popped up in. Seagulls, bugs, and even a lizard clinging to one of the walls. Zeke tipped his glasses up to have a better look, but it hurried away when he took a step towards it. "Havent been to Mexico yet, not for pleasure." Did missions count? SpicyZeke had a full tray when he took a seat opposite Melvin at their little table, though he seemed to have gone in a different direction, culinarily speaking. It was ladened down with various sorts of seafood , some more recognizable than others. He had to take his utensils and straw from his mouth before he could answer, popping the latter into his drink before shaking a napkin from the holder to put in his lap. "Conch fritters, octopus ceviche, red snapper with rice, and...pozole." He gave the last dish thoughtful, sideways look. It was soup, but not anything settle had ever tried before, or even heard of, but the lady making their food had suggested it. "Some kind of fish soup, I think," he said with a shrug.

Away Away"I like seeing different coastlines and lakes. We might live on a tropical island but it's different when you have animals, people, and resturants. You should go out on leave more." He said as he walked down the street to a busy sidewalk and turned right. "Let's find a hotel to drop off our bags." He said, wanting to be free to wander once they checked in.Spicy "I'll need to get a plate from them then...or steal some of yours." He said, peering at his try with interest.
"Surprised you're recovered from the 1 yesr island and want so much seafood but it does smell great. Better then half chard on a stick."
He reached for Siracha and started to fix up his tacos. "Wanna check the coast for any snorkeling or boats?"

Away awayZeke snorted softly, giving Melvin a lazy grin. "I go on leave plenty." Not every month, but every other or so.Brows rose high enough to peek over the lenses of his sunglasses in question, curious as to where he got the idea that he didn't get out much. Finding a hotel sounded like a good idea though. He adjusted the strap on his bag, glancing down the alley again. "Sure." SpicyHe paused with a forkful of ceviche halfway to his mouth, eyes rolling up to look at Melvin over their food. "I'll share, there's a lot here." He probably could have finished it all off, but it probably wouldn't have been the best idea. His nose wrinkled at the mention of the island, but he took a determined bite before the memory could make him change his mind. "I didn't, for a while, but I'll be damned if some weird island s**t is going to completely ruin my favorite food for me." It had been stubbornness that had gotten him to back to it, and sticking the seafoods that they hadn't had available to them, at first. He glanced towards the water at the mention of snorkeling. "Yeah, they've probably got some great spots to dive around here." He took another bite, chewing slowly, thoughtfully. "Probably some places to feed sharks, too."

Check-inMelvin stood at the reception area of an affordable yet nice hotel. As he stood there, he paused and then looked over to Zeke. "How are we booking this?" He wasn't sure if Zeke would want a joining room or a fully separate room or what else.
Spice"I can give you a taco. Do you do spicy?" He asked, taking a bite of his and very pleased with the heated concoction of spices.
Then he mentioned sharks, and he paused, slowly chewing before swallowing. "Sharks?"

Check inGlasses resting on his head, Zeke had paused near a kiosk full of pamphlets, looking them over as Melvin handled the room.. At the question he looked up. "However you want to book it." Separate rooms, same room, same bed it really didn't matter to him. SpiceHe did like spice, and he said so as he held up a napkin for the taco. "What's in it, meat wise?" It was hot, but pleasantly so, burning on the way down. Zeke chased it with a bite of cold ceviche before answering. "Yeah. All up and down the coast you can usually find places that'll take you out with scuba gear and let you feed sharks." He scooped up a forkful of snapper, taking a bit. "Damn, this is good." When you wanted good seafood, it was best to go directly to the source.

Check-inHe didn't like that answer and turned back, staring back at the receptionist who was waiting. With Ever, Melvin had just ordered a room for himself and on a whim invited him to stay over. They hadn't booked or planned a stay at the inn so it was on the fly. With Zeke that wasn't the case, but would he find it insulting he didn't order two separate rooms?
Settling on a room with 2 beds, he took the keycard. They headed up to a midl-evel room. Like many of the rooms in this hotel, they had a balcony with a view of the ocean and pristine white beds, a commonplace thing with tropical areas. Setting his bag down on one of the bags, he grabbed his wallet. "Ready to roam about?" Spicy"Steak. I have chicken too. " Offering him a taco, he took a few little fork-fulls onto his plate from Zeke's platter and then enjoyed himself with a little more rounded meal. "Despite how strong we are, I still think we could loose an arm to a shark." He pointed out, not very thrilled at the idea of being shark bait.

Check-inZeke really didn't care about the sleeping arrangements, so when they entered a single room with two beds he set his stuff on one of them without comment before heading for the window to draw back the curtains. Staring out at the clear crystal blue water almost hungrily. Until Melvin spoke to him, which made him blink and glance back at him. "Yeah." Wallet and phone already in his pockets, he was good to go. Ready to see more of the ocean than just a lovely view from their hotel room. SpicyThe steak was seasoned well, but even better than that, it was cooked in a way that left it tender, rather than tough. He finished it off in three more bites, freeing up his hands for the rest of the food on his tray. "Seriously, hello yourself. This is great." He had to laugh though, at Melvin's reaction to the idea shark feeding. "If it were that risky, I doubt they'd let squishy tourists do it." But he wasn't going to push for it. It wasn't something that was on his bucket list, just an idea that sounded fairly interesting. The blonde's reluctance was amusing, but he enjoyed Melvin's company enough too not want to needle him over it. "There's probably less toothy diving and snorkeling, though."

Cocktails and Pina ColadasIt was warm with the ocean breeze and the sound of music sounded from the open bar as the sun was turning down to a flushed pink. At the bar, ordered worked on his third beer as he watched the ocean and people linger on the beach. "I miss the noise. Like this."
SharktankHe really wasn't sure about this. It seemed really crazy to volunteer to do it, but considering he got nearly killed by much worse, it seemed silly to also be afraid. "So what do we do?" He asked Zeke again, having already heard the instructions but wanting him to repeat it.

Cocktails and Pina coladasZeke was working at his second run and Coke at a rather sedate and unhurried pace. He had the start of what promised to be a really nice buzz going, and felt no need to rush into it. The evening was still early. He blinked as Melvin spoke up, attention drawing away from the other people at the bar and onto the blonde he was sitting with. "It's definitely not something you'd find easily on the island." SharktankPausing in his attempts to get the straps of his mask adjusted comfortably, Zeke glanced sidelong at the other man before smiling in what was clearly amusement. They'd been diving in waters that contained things far more dangerous than anything they were about to meet, but that didn't seem to matter to Melvin's nerves. "Sit on the reef floor, don't touch things until the guides give the clear." The feeding itself was going to be handled by the people running the show, which was fine. They'd gotten the run down; no panicked movements, no open cuts, no aggression. Towards the animals unless it was needed. "Even if one did but one of us, we probably wouldn't even bleed, which is more concerning, since it's be a little suspicious, don't you think?" Really, it|l was just better not to find out.

Cocktails and Pina Coladas "There should be. With everyone. With all the people. No one's happy there. Not like they should be. Not like life should be." He took another drink. "It's not entitled to want more, is it?"
He turned to look over at Zeke.
Shartank He adjusted the mask and took a breath. "Yeah. Just sitting and watching. Like...ocean bird watching." But with teeth and a much stronger bite force.
"If I punch it and it dies, think it would make a nice rug?" He joked. It probably would look good in a guest room. Shark rug. Shark leather?

Cocktails and pina coladasZeke's brows rose at Melvins observation, and he was quiet for a moment as he nursed his drink. "I think that's a bit of a generalization, that no ones happy." He certainly didn't have any discontent over his situation. "A little, maybe. I don't it's something that's either yes or no. I think there are always variables at play that need to be considered." There was very little in life that was cut and dry. He was quiet for a moment as he nursed his drink. "With as small as the island is, and as small as the population on it is, I'm not surprised that people have trouble finding exactly what they want." Sharktank"I think if you kill a shark with a single punch we'll have more to worry about than if it'll make a good rug." He pulled his mask down over his face. "That kind of strength isn't exactly inconspicuous." "But yeah, like bird watching." It it helped Melvin relax, they could compare it to that. He still wasn't sure what had the other man so nervous. Sharks were nothing compared to horsemen.
