How would you have felt, reacted, etc. if you had been alive during Jesus's time?
I would hope that I would have believed and followed and protested His death.

princess_jaybird How would you have felt, reacted, etc. if you had been alive during Jesus's time? I would hope that I would have believed and followed and protested His death. I would hope not that i would protest his death. As he had to die... it was necessary... it was the only way for everyone's sins of all time to be washed away. it says in romans that by one man, sin entered the world. and, by the same, the blood of one man, it was able to be erased. Adam was cursed, and Jesus Christ broke that curse. Likewise, we are all cursed from birth, but we can be redeemed from that curse if we get born of the water and of the spirit. I would like to have think I would have been like Mary Magdelene who was always at the feet of my savior.. listening to his teachings... but, I think when he ascended to heaven.. i'd have been so sad.. I mean.. I would probably understand that he had to do it.. but.. after knowing such a person... how could you imagine living without them? I would have loved to totally get into it with those pharissees and sadducees tho. man.. *rage against the system*

I hope that I would have followed Jesus around as well. That would be totally awesome to be able to stand right next to the Lord and hear His teachings!

Thanks for your comments. It would've been awesome to have been alive at that time and to be right there with Him. But a time is coming when we will be with Jesus for all eternity biggrin An awesome and a scary thought. I believe, of course, but then I think to myself, I want to finish college, get married and have family. Am I the only one who wants to have certain things, such as these, before He comes?

lately... i've had some thoughts come to me to consider if i'm ready for when he comes or not.. or if my life should pass before his coming.. and whenever that thought comes. my heart is filled with sorrow. and i began to examine myself.. fearing maybe i wasn't right in my soul.. fearing i wouldn't meet him... but, then, i examined what was in my life that made me not want to leave. And, I have a beautiful adoreable little boy.. who's almost 5. he is autistic... and, I just can't imagine not beign there for him.. to watch him grow up.. to see him date and marry.. and have his own children.. to not be there to hug him and look in his little eyes full of life and love... and just hug him... man. I really love my son. Ever does Jesus use my son to minister to me in times of need of his mercy and grace. His innocence is sooo beautiful. I want to be with Jesus... But, i want my son to be with me .. and be with Jesus also. But, naaman was dedicated to the Lord when he was a baby. I feel bad sometimes that i wasn't there... because at the time, i had post pardon depression really really bad... and i never wanted to go anywhere or be around anyone... my soul was such a mess... but, I just always try to make it up to my son.

All we can do is trust God. If He pulls out of the world early then the must of been a good reason. Also, I'm sure a family in heaven would be a lot better than one anywhere else, so.... we should try not to get attached to this world. I'm sure we'll see our family from earth in heaven too, and be closer than ever. Either way, we are not staying here forever, so why worry about it.

God knows the desires of our hearts. Someone who does not love Him might think that He does things just to please Himself... but that is not our God. He loves us very much and I beleive that the plans He has for our life and for when it ends are perfect. I trust God will take care of His children, because thats what He promises and so I'm not worried about when He will come.

Yes, I shouldn't be scared about Jesus's 2nd coming. I do believe that He is my Lord and Savior, so there is nothing to worry about. I just sometimes wonder when He will come. This world is so messed up. I guess I don't need to wonder, but just be ready for Him.

I would never protest His death. i would have broken my hearyt to watch him crucified. bu that is the real reasonhe was on earth in the first place. so realy the best aspect of His life was dying for our sins.
