Melvin was placing some stones in front of his door when he felt his phone buzz. Removing a pair of leather gloves, he saw the name and instantly smiled. kuropeco Text to: HighnessSure. I'm already over there placing some stones down. I will walk out to the street and wave you down if you don't spot it.

He dragged a set of random clothes on, mostly consisting of several layers of black and a few spots of neon color here and there before heading out, Nash ambling across the fields towards the towns. He didn't go there often; in fact, he hadn't been there at all except for the tournament battles, and even then he hadn't really explored much.
But, well, it was Melvin, and he liked Melvin, and Melvin had finally fixed up his own house and all. It would be nice to see them both.
It took a bit of wrangling, but finally he spotted the house, Melvin's familiar blond head easy to spot among the general gloom of the towns. Nash made his way towards the front, glancing around.
"Hey, stranger."

The house was normal by most means. A normal 2 story and colored a pale blue. The front door was red with a stained glass window of water and a yellow fish on it. A small porch was barren at the moment aside from the various pallets he was waiting to be picked up from Deus' construction crew. The yard still had treads of various working vehicles that had to deliver materials for it's completion with a few spots of grass. Melvin was up front placing down a stone step to the walkway leaving from the crumbling street to his door, steps he found walking around towns and re-purposed for his own use.
As he spotted Nash, he waved to him and walked up to meet him where the street and his incomplete walkway met. Taking off his dirty gloves, he leaned in and kissed him softly. "Hey there. Well, welcome to the house. Glad you could make it. I know towns is a bit of a walk."

It was a nice place, tidy and neat - which was unsurprising, given who its occupant was. It was also clearly still in the process of having its yard done, but everything else seemed good, and Melvin was carrying some sort of stone down to the walkway as Nash came up.
He looped a casual arm around Melvin as he kissed him, Nash's gaze flicking over the front.
"Walk, schmalk," he said. "This is cool. I didn't even know there was s**t like this out here."

"Yeah, it's nice once they get it set up. Then it's just painting it how you like and working on all the detailed installation. A bit harder when it's just you this time around, but no asking for a okay from anyone so that's nice." He stepped back and moved towards the house. "Come on inside. I'll show you the layout just....forewarning. It's not close to done yet. I just have furniture and appliances in now."
A windchime of shells clattered at the end of the porch as Melvin passed and opened the door.

He couldn't decide if he wanted a house himself or if he would want to stay in the dorms. Probably a mixture of both, or something, but the house really was nice, and very Melvin-ish. Nash followed him up the walkway and peered inside, hands shoved into the pockets of his jacket.
"Woah. It's like, an actual house and s**t. I mean, I expected that, but when you're living in a dorm and whatever, you don't think about the houses."

"It's still a little sad but also heartwarming to know a town was herr. One with this many houses. I wish more coukd be added on to make it feel more like a town. We have the bar but a resturant here or there and a library would be nice. Maybe even a town hall leople could meet."
He lead Nash inside and shut the door. Windows were open throughout the house to let th island breeze in. The floors were hardwood and the walls painted in hues of blue, teal, and yellow with natual wood accenting here and there. A few pictures of coastal scenes of the island were frames as well as a few others that must have been from off island. The furnishings were sparce but livable. TV with entertainment stsrm moved from his apartment to here. A new couch but a chair from his apartment. The dining room was empty at the moment. "I haven't gotten a table and chairs for here yet."
The kitchen was further off. What was in the house were thr strange torture devices that most basement residents were forced to live with. A Adams cross freshly sanded with new stain and gloss with new straps. A Iron maiden opened and completely polished free of stains or rust. The points trimmed and then filed down. A few plants dotted here and there that he relocated from the greenhouse.

"The bar is great," said Nash, because this was perfectly true, even if the rest of the town was, well...in disarray, so to speak. It was kind of nice, the idea of having an actual functioning place to frequent, but at the same time, how much of that was doable was questionable.
It was a pleasant day, in spite of the ever present island gloom. The house wasn't massive, but it was open and spacious and welcoming. Nash wandered from room to room, peering into the empty dining room, then found the rest of the place, folding his arms across his chest.
An eyebrow was raised at the iron maiden.
"Just fun decorations?" Nash asked lightly. "Charming."

"The basement is full of historical torture devices and most in good condition. With a bit of repurposing they make cheap and interesting furniture. Tools made for the sole purpose to strain the limits of moral compassion and the body. Cruel only by the inventor and the user but alone just a tool. It makes me wonder what Deus has done and will do for the sake of their mission." A reminder that deus would do whatever it could to meet it's goals. Meal hungry mest. Chewing nawing under their teeth. Selfish hunger to fill a gut a gut with a ocean of sinew and death.
He trailed the tips of his fingers lightly across the chest of the iron maiden bookshelf and walked up the steps. "You can see the view of the lighthouse best from my room."
The polar bear rug was out on the floor with his bed made. A dresser and mirror were alread there. He moved to a large windiw and oulled the blinds out more where the air rushed in from the open window. "See it?" He asked.
