Daphne was always happy and eager to hear from Penny, and so when the older blonde had mentioned going patrolling together and perhaps even doing a little training while they were out there, the purple haired girl had been utterly overjoyed. She spent the next few hours getting ready, putting on makeup and fixing her hair so it looked utterly perfect, only to realize that when she powered up…literally none of that would matter.
When she did power up she made her way to where she would be meeting her Captain and bounced on the balls of her feet, eager to show off a little. At the very least she knew that she was pretty. With her lacey outfit and her long hair. She was growing her hair out in her everyday life now…she liked how she looked with it and thought that it made her seem…older more sophisticated. And that was how she wanted to be seen now. She was out of high school…she was in college. She should be seen as someone who was on the road to being…
Professional.
Glancing around, Periclase waited for Stellerite to show up, absentmindedly twirling one of her pigtails around a finger.

Ever since their lunch date, Penelope had put a little extra effort into Daphne. That meant that there were more texts, more meet ups, more kisses, more things. And, today's things meant a little bit of patrol and training.
It was, after all, important to know what her little recruits were capable of doing and what roles they would best play on her puppeteer stage.
Boots carried her forward when she arrived not too far from their agreed meeting location. It was a rare treat for Stellerite to get to see Periclase in all of her sailor scouted glory.
Her ego was right about one thing, that dress was beautiful. Slinky but classy in a very...classic way.
"Missed me sweetheart?"

Periclase almost ran to the Captain. Almost threw her arms around her and started a kiss.
Or at least such would have been the ideal. When her eyes landed on the green and black clad agent, her eyes lit up…and she almost managed to not run…but at the last moment, when she thought she was going to hold back, she didn’t and her arms flung around Stella, squeezing her tightly.
Stella didn’t like her to hide her feelings. She liked knowing how much she meant to Periclase. To Daphne.
Nuzzling her face against the Captain’s neck, the corrupt nodded. “I missed you terribly, yes. But you already knew that.” Her lips found Stella’s neck and kissed it gently.
“So…you want to spar with me tonight, hm? What do I get if I win? Do I get something good, Pe…Stella. Do I get something really good?” There was a soft, whining lilt to her voice, and Peri pulled away enough to see her Captain’s face. “I’ll try really, really hard if you tell me that there’s some sort of prize…”

Her little corrupt's infatuation with her made the captain preen inside quietly. Her grin stayed as it was, even as she wrapped her arms around the girl pressing lips against her neck.
"But I like hearing you remind me," she purred, turning her face to brush lips against a cheekbone before she pulled away.
"Mhm, I want to get a taste of what you're capable of Peri," Stella said, toying with one of the loose curls. As far as the reward went, she pressed a finger to her chin in contemplation. "Hmm, how about, if you win...I'll let you come stay the night with me."

Periclase pretended to be thinking it over, pursing her lips, and then slowly nodded. “I suppose, but, if you win, I guess I’ll just have to let you stay the night with me, what a bother.”
She moved a few paces back and grinned. “Ah well. I suppose I’ll just have to win, now won’t I.” She wanted to prove herself quickly, wanted to not give Stella a chance to laugh at her own counter suggestion. She wanted to prove herself and show her Captain that she was worthy of the gift she had been given, all at her suggestion.
“Would you like another kiss? How about a Hemlock’s Kiss.
Pressing her hand to her own lips, Peri winked at Stella and blew the attack towards her, the soft, seemingly harmless bunches of flowers moving towards the blonde who she felt such affection for. “I got you flowers, Stella, are you happy?”Nuxaz Hemlock’s Kiss Periclase puts a hand to her lips and blows a kiss, which takes the shape of three bunches of hemlock flowers, if hit with one of the bunches of flowers, an opponent will experience mild effects of hemlock poisoning, including dizziness and trembling. The effects last for twenty five seconds and the attack can be used twice, hitting up to a total of six opponents. If the bunches do not find a target within ten seconds, they dissipate and the attack is wasted. At most the bunches can travel ten feet away from Periclase.

Stellerite wasn't given much time to respond because Peri had decided to jump right into things. She couldn't say she was surprised, but she struggled to keep that initial shock off her face before it fell into the careful mask she always kept up.
Pretending was easy when your name was Penelope Rey.
While she attempted to step back, Periclase was in too close of proximity to her that one of the bunches of flowers hit just as her katars were summoned to her hands. It's effects were almost instantaneous, the blonde being overcome with wooziness and a tremor that wracked her entire body.
Doing her best to keep up appearances, she swung an arm. "C'mon, Peri, you know those aren't my favorite."

Periclase laughed softly and easily took a step backwards. “Aww, Stella baby, you didn’t like the flowers I got for you? That’s a shame, honey.”
Her attitude was different. It was so much easier to treat Stella like just another toy in the world when she knew that this was meant to be a fight. And if her sweet, perfect blonde wanted to see how she handled herself in the big, wide world…well.
Peri couldn’t deny Stella anything.
“I could give you more flowers if you’d like. I have to admit, I’m not really one for physical blows…I’d rather play with my food, I like to think of myself as a friendly cat.” She grinned moving lightly and reaching a hand out to stroke along Stella’s face before moving quickly out of range again. “It’s so fun to just seem innocent and sweet and scared…and then they have no idea what hit them when my hand is in their chest.”
Her teal eyes glinted with excitement…not that she was going to attempt to pull out the other woman’s starseed…but talking about her own attack plans was invigorating.
She could only hope that Stella would be proud.

Focusing was a little difficult, but Stellerite was determined to not let a little magic put her down. Especially not from someone who was, by magical accounts, below her weight class.
"Confidence is appreciated," she answered, blue eyes following the senshi even though the motion made the dizziness flare. "But don't overestimate yourself and underestimate your opponent."
Into her hands her katars were summoned, the weight helping to remind her that she was standing upright and the ground was not, in fact, tilting beneath her.
"But, you don't need to tell me how I operate." Her lips curved into a smirk when she concentrated enough to teleport, right behind Periclase, the tip of a katar pressing against her back.

Teleportation. She had forgotten that little detail, and when she watched her mentor disappear into the night and then felt the tip of a blade against her back and sighed, with as much drama as possible. “Okay, okay. So. You have the upper hand in physical strength, and you have that whole…teleporting thing…will I get to do that when I get stronger, Stella?”
She hoped so, and taking a step forward, she turned to face the blonde again. “Because I can see myself causing all sorts of trouble if I could teleport like that.”
The fight was over, she supposed…and while she had the thought of using her magic again…she couldn’t see how that would do anything to help the situation into her favor. Right now she was nothing but a one trick pony…but perhaps…she would have to change that.
“I don’t know. Maybe I’ll go and join a gym or something. Get into kick boxing…and then the next time we do this dance…I’ll beat you. Fully beat you. I mean I could do a few cheap shots right now I’m sure but…”
Leaning close, Peri placed her hands atop Stellas and pressed a kiss to her cheek. “You deserve real kisses…not nasty ones that make you sick…but hey. They are effective, are they not?”

Training was over before it really began and Stella watched her purple haired corrupt with curious eyes. She was good at paying attention when she cared to. "Depends on how good you are."
She had no real say in teleporting abilities, it seemed to come as a benefit of the promotion, but she could act as if she did. Peri didn't need to know otherwise. As far as the captain was concerned, she was in control.
"Wouldn't hurt. Magic won't always be there to save you." Maybe stall for a get away, but Peri's magic didn't actually hurt someone so much as it disoriented them and she was grateful that the effect seemed to be leaving.
"They have their uses," she replied, shifting her grip on her weapon so that the corrupt would feel them pressing against her arms in a, hey I could still be dangerous, kind of way.

She knew the blonde had a lot of pride and grinned. “You wouldn’t want your favorite student to be laughed at and mocked because she wasn’t good enough to teleport, would you? And you want me to succeed so I can make sure to carry on your good name, yeah?”
Peri glanced down and the blades, a little uncomfortable with them against her like that…but Stella was making a point so she had to at least…show that she understood. “At least…none of my real fights should be with anyone who has the sharp and pointy blades, right? So my magic will be a bit more useful…and when I’ve gotten more physically fit…I’ll be amazing. Especially when I’ve warranted getting stronger…”
Biting her lip, the senshi gazed at Stella and shrugged. “You do think I’ll get there one day, right? I’ll make you proud? I want to. But…I guess I didn’t win so no spending the night with you, huh?”

Attention of any kind was good attention as far as Stellerite was concerned. Well, if she wasn't the one receiving the reprimands of course.
"Guess that means you need to work harder to stay at the top of the class hm?" She asked, running knuckles down the side of the senshi's face. Periclase wanted to play her game and was doing a good imitation job, but Stella was still the master of it.
"You don't know that," she admitted with a slight pout. "You'd be surprised with what those White Mooners pull out of their sleeves." Luckily, they were the ones with the true advantages, which meant they were the team to root for in her opinion.
Her weapons were dismissed and she moved to kiss the girl's forehead. "No sleep overs, but we can still do a dinner date. C'mon, I know a diner that serves the best cheese fries."

Peri grinned, allowing herself to nuzzle the knuckles slightly and nodded, sighing heavily. “Well, cheese fries aren’t really in the same league as spending the night with you, but I suppose that for now, they’ll do.” The kiss made her smile and she managed to slip her hand into the Captains and with a quick glance around let her powered glamour fade, grinning.
“But…you’re buying. I think that’s only fair. I threw the fight obviously so…”
It was worth a shot, at least.
Regardless…she would soon be eating cheese fries with Penny…and that was a good night in anyone’s book.
