Sy felt like sucha newbie still, unable to grasp onto what he had to do in Deus. The whole time being cooped up in his room didn't help him out much either. He stood there, leaning against the broken down beetle car, and waved an awkward hello with his hand at his opponent. "Are you..ready for this? I'm still new at battles. this may be...my.. third time..?" he laughed nervously. Zane had made it through round one and Soleil had not and he didn't know if that was going to give him more incentive to win or not. Progressing would be pretty cool, he'd get recognition and s**t but....it also sounded like a lot of effort.
Eyeing the hunter across from him, he gave them a curt nod. "Zane, and yeah, yeah. M'ready." To demonstrate, his weapon was summoned and the gauntlet.
Sy didn't seem like he was the type to hold punches back, so Zane wouldn't either when he moved to swing.

HP 36 / 40 Damage 9 - 6 = 3 Sy saw the attack by Zane and instinctively jumped back, barely managing to block on timen with his scythe, and took little damage. "nice to meet another trainee, " he said, and tipped his hat. "Let's go all out without holding back."

While he supposed it made sense to do some sort of introduction, he wasn't sure that doing so in the middle of the fight was the best.
But then again, there was no time like the present so he shrugged it off and tried to focus on the battle.

By the time Sid had found out about any tournament it was a few days too late to even participate in it. Instead he took a long drag of his cigarette before flicking it to the ground and making his way up the steps of the impromptu stands. Finding the best view he plopped down and cupped his hands around his mouth to yell. “Kick some a** Zane!” Not that Sid could really say anything if he lost, at least he had made the effort to try instead of slacking out.

HP 33 / 40 Damage 9 - 6 = 3 He had to admit, it was kind of messed up, perhaps he could've been less dumb and made small chitchat with Zane before they stepped onto the chosen stage to battle. but it was too late, his anxiousness made him be in battle mode before he could think. When he heard a cheer from the stands, as support for his opponent, he wished he had a friend or even a mentor that would do the same for him too.. Sy gripped onto his scythe tightly and took another swing at Zane.

While Soleil wasn't around to cheer him on, that he could see anyway, Sid was and he looked over at the cheer, a grin on his face, with his hand lifting to offer a thumbs up. It was a bad idea, because he wasn't paying attention when Sy swung.
He managed to move back enough to keep it from wrecking him, but it still caught him and when he swung back he was a little disoriented.

HP 31 / 40 Damage 7 - 6 = 1 He barely managed to dodge, feeling the pain creep across his right arm, as he felt Zane's hit. Alright, this is it, keep swinging at full force, he told himself. Sy stumbled a little, still not used to his weapon's size, and swung his scythe again like a newbie. "Oops." Nuxaz yeahh i sleep around now too but i will edit the one before your post at least D;

He brought his gauntlet up in time to defend himself, but not to do much of anything else.
He was starting to feel worn down, more so than the last go around. s**t. He needed to get it together.

HP 30 / 40 Damage 13 - 6 = 7 This time he managed to successfully block without taking too much damage. Hurt a little less but the pain was real. "Y-yes, i try to. I mean, i did get my butt whooped at the last tournament," he spoke, making sure not to swing his weapon to his own face. The battle rounds were challenging, he watched a few fights earlier before. "I'm just lucky i start off at round 2..i would've lost in round 1 fighting you guys.."

Though given the life expectancy of their chosen pathways probably didn't lend well to next time but he tried not to think about that.
This time it hit him hard when it swung and he grunted, shortness of breath starting to catch up with him.
At least this time there was more oomph when he punched.
