How fitting of a field for her...
The parked cars, cement streets... Sonja couldn't help the somber smile as she ran a hand along the side of a car. The prodding thoughts of her weapon brought her back to the present.
Right. The fight. Yeah, that was a thing. She had won the first one and now here she was, facing down someone she hadn't had the pleasure of meeting. Quite the beauty to boot too.
"Hey," She waved over at the other, her tonfa's hung around her neck by the chain for the moment before she gingerly began grasping one in each of her hands. "Just here to have a good time."
She tilts her head as the corner of her mask catches at the corner from her side smirk that was still shielded by her mask. And then she was off, planting one foot after another in a charge towards the other in an aim to hit them in the side with her elbow.

Showered, dried, changed into some clothes that weren't caked in mud, and Dottie was at least feeling a bit better than she had been when she'd lost her match in the first round. She still wasn't pleased, of course, to feel like she was the only one of her group of friends to not be moving on in the tournament, but that didn't mean she couldn't get her a** out to show her support to them. Though she felt almost uneasy when she first arrived, wondering if she might have been too cold with Sonja earlier, worried that she'd ******** up one of the few good things she..... She shook her head, and took a deep breath. Needed to push those thoughts from mind. They didn't belong. She approached the edge of the roped of arena in a dilapidated part of the towns, and offered Sonja a cheeky little smirk and a wiggle of fingers should the other woman look her way. She didn't say anything, yet, but still wanted Sonja to know that she was there.

Luna wasn't exactly sure what to expect with the first round, she hadn't watched another match before this one given her buy and instead had spent more time actually freaking out about the fact she was going to have to fight someone who already won. Did she have the advantage? Did they? This was like in sports where one team gets a week off but they normally played a bunch of other games before that and she'd barely trained with her weapon. Still she wasn't about to let her sister prove she was better at fighting then she was. "Good times? So you enjoy PVP stuff too?" She raised her hands, twin chakram's appearing as the stranger Sonja rushed at her with an elbow blow. The strike sent her bouncing into a car as she staggered to the side before pushing off and bringing one of her chakram's down in a glancing blow to the back of the other girl. HP: 34/40 DMG: 4

PVP?
Sonja hadn't exactly heard the term before and it took her a bit to get it. The realization painted her face after receiving the blow to her back and the stumble into a nearby building wall.
"I mean, who don't? In this settin', o' course. A blood lip is alright but I doubt anyone'd want a bloody limb from a spar." She set her body back, tonfa's up and her feet planted for the moment.
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a familiar head of pink and she turned her head just enough to see Dottie in the stands again. They last they had met had been... Rough. Mostly for Dottie but Sonja was happy to see her out and watching her. The wiggling greeting of fingers was easy to see with the wink and she couldn't help pulling down her own mask, giving a brilliant grin and a wink of her own back.
"Sorry, got someone up there and I can't be ignorin' her adorable wave." But now it was back to business!
With a quick flick of her wrist, she angled her arms to bring one of her tonfa blades across,
aiming for the other's shoulder this time.

"Yeah I don't think anyone wants to be going home on crutches but I bet they'll stop it before that." She raised her hands up almost like a boxer, the ringed blades pointed towards Sonja like she was ready to lash out. Yet they both paused, Sonja looking to Dottie first, and then Luna's gaze following after head cocked to the side wondering who was waving. "What you've got a fan in the-" WHACK. She was asking a question in the middle of a fight and Sonja just reached out and cracked her shoulder with her weapon. The only solution to this was scrambling over the car behind her tumbling off the hood and hiding on the other side. Her own attack completely forgotten. "Cheap move attacking while we're talking!" HP: 29/40 DMG; 0

"Hey, always gotta be prepared for anythin'. Never know what'll come yer way." She had always taken that bit of advice with her. No matter the situation, anything could potentially happening.
And it never hurt to at least anticipate it a little.
Like a punch to the shoulder.
Sonja did feel a little bad about it but she couldn't help the smirk as she watched the other take cover from her. But this was a fight, after all. And she was determined to win this one as much as the last.
"Come on out from there, ain't no use hidin', darlin'~" She planted one blade clean through the metal of the car's hood and swung herself to the side, hoping to land a kick.

"Okay fine. Fair point." She was right, given their line of work, hell the orientation day she got, the idea of expecting the unexpected was sort of the default setting for this place.
She only had a few seconds to think about what she was going to do next. THe sound of the blade on Sonja's weapon sinking into the hood was the last warning she got before she rolled forward taking a light kick to the side. Even as she got up she let out a frustrated cry of triumph.
"GOTCHA!"
Her twin Chakram's swinging around in her hands as she stood up getting a solid hit finally on the other hunter.

Well, maybe Sonja should have followed her own advice. She had smirked a little after landing the blow but it hadn't lasted long. With eyes wide, she took the blow from the other and all but nearly toppled over.
"Whoa! You sure do pack a mean punch there." Her arms failed out for a moment to gain her footing once again.
She re-gripped her tonfa's blades, bracing the blades pointing down the length of her arm.
"Now we're havin' some fun!" She sprung forward with her blades braced at her side before twisting herself to aim her left blade at the Luna.

Luna allowed herself a pretty bold smile at the compliment about the hit. She stood up again prepping herself for the next attack. Both hunters squared up, tonfa's held stiff braced, chakram's gripped and held high like a boxer. "Bring it on!" This time Luna stepped in swatting at the Tonfa deflecting the worst of the blow with her right bladed ring before swiping a small swing back at Sonja as they crossed paths. HP: 25/40 DMG: 3

Adrenaline pumped through her veins as another blow was exchanged between the two hunters. Joining this tournament had been one of the better choices she had been making. Getting to meet new people and learning how everyone fought was just as much fun as hanging out with them!
A quick, sloppy guard with her right tonfa from the other's attack but her smirk didn't falter in the least. It in fact grew just a little with a peek of her pearly whites.
"Oh, I plan on it, darlin'." The drawl in her voice caked her words before she pushed back with her blades.

Luna mostly joined out of spiting her sister and curiosity, but she was enjoying this stranger. She seemed pretty excited about the whole sparing thing. Her last attack barely did anything, but at this point they seemed to be just bashing weapons against each other.
Over and over their weapons collided, maybe not in a very elegant style, in Luna's mind it looked like some cool scene from an anime where the attacks clashed over and over super fast.

It wasn't hard to see the her opponent starting to really get into their spar. It was a pleasant sight. Nothing soured a match more than one being out-matched by the other or someone not putting in their all.
It was what kept them alive out in the field. And, even if these fights were just battles in a competition, it was still something to keep in mind that these techniques were vital to their own survival.
That was fact never lost on Sonja.
A quick smirk rose to her face as she waved her tonfa in the air in the direction of Nash.
"Doin' my best to give y'all a good fight back there!" And she was keeping her word on that.
As serious as this could be, it never hurt to have a little fun with it. Sonja moved herself low, blocking with one blade and quickly re-gripping her opposing tonfa to deliver a blow to the other's side with the butt-end.
