Ax slung across his shoulder, Zeke did a slow, languid circle around the ring, lips pursed. He couldn't recall having ever wandered this far into the town. There'd never been a reason for it before. It was considerably more, well, ruined than he'd imagined it to be out here, but in all honesty he seldom bothered to imagine it at all. At the moment he was really only paying it as much attention as he was while he waited for his opponent to turn up. Jordan Miller. The name sounded familiar. He suspected he knew him, but just couldn't place an immediate face to it just yet. Well. He'd see soon enough.

The next round was in the town, a cleared space among one of the more ruined areas. Jordan summoned Ferros as he stepped into the ring, not sure whether his opponent would attack immediately. The other man was another person whose name he knew but who he didn't know well. That was the case with a lot of people recently, Jordan mused; he'd been keeping to himself more than he possibly should. Well, maybe this tournament would help start some new connections. He nodded to Zeke, sizing him up.

Ah, him. He was right, familiar but not. "Jordan?" A smile in greeting curled along his lips as he brought the overly large ax down off his shoulder, hefting it up in both hands. "Nice to officially meet you." He took a swing, experimental and gauging. HP: 60 DMG: really dude?

"Nice to meet you as well," Jordan replied politely. He gestured a salute with Ferros, smiling a little. "You ready for this?" Regardless of the reply, he rushed forward a moment later, bringing Ferros around in a quick, short sweep. HP: 60 Dmg: 5

Once his own match up had come to an end, Finn's only real plans for the rest of the day were to go back to his room and drink away the physical pain of every awful ******** bruise that had bloomed on his torso from the beating that Jordan and his ridiculously large hammer had given him. Yet, for reasons unknown, he found himself instead thinking about spending some time watching the next round, and he felt like his first stop should be to see how his former opponent was now faring. It seemed, to start with, not badly. "Give him hell." He commented, just loud enough to be heard, with a smirk, remembering that Jordan hadn't had much by the way of a cheering section in their previous match. A silver flask in hand, he held it up in a sort of salute, before taking a swig and finding himself a place to settle down and watch.

Melvin was taking a break between from when his round would be starting next and was sitting on a broken wall watching the event. It had been a while since he seen Jordan again, but as a seasons veteran he had high hopes for a pretty good show.
"You got this." He called out, deciding not to specify who he was rooting for. Both sides were his friends, but Jordan had been with him much longer. An old pain sank further down in his chest. At least Jordan was out doing things instead of staying cooped up inside like before.

Hika slid into sight for this match, too. She found herself a nice spot of broken brick wall to sit on, and settled herself down. She did not recognize the opponent, or one of the others here to cheer, but she DID recognize Melvin, her former 'tree' when she was acting like a Koala. She still found that an odd, and bizarre, dare but she was grateful to Melvin for working with her. As such, she waved at him, and gave him a friendly smile, before focusing on the battlers. "Go, Zeke!" She called out, still enthusiastic, but perhaps a little less loud, perhaps because there seemed to be more people out cheering this time that WEREN'T children mocking the adults.

Behind Melvin, October loomed, looping an arm around his shoulders - possibly as a friendly gesture, but most likely just to keep himself vertical, his expression sleepy as he stared out at the goings on, barely managing to suppress a yawn.
"Go, Jordan," he said solemnly, in his normal polite voice.

Although Oliver didn't know Zeke or Jordan particularly well, he did hear that Finn was still out and about rather than nursing his pride at the back of his liquor cabinet. Yet when he did spot Finn spectating the match, it was with a silver flask in hand. Probably whiskey... Oliver headed over and sat down next to his friend. "Hi," he greeted quietly, almost more timidly than usual to make up for the loud nature of tournament spectating.

He was, but that hammer had a lot more range than he'd been expecting, and he just didn't move enough to avoid it when Jordan swung at him. It got him in the arm, drew an indictive and expectant front from him, but his shield kept him from actually feeling it much. There were more people here this time. Hikaru wasn't a surprise, neither was Melvin really, but Finn was. He couldn't even really remember the last time he'd seen the other man. Years, he was sure. Didn't matter though, not right that moment. Zeke jerked his focus back around to Jordan, and the ax followed, cutting through the air as he brought it up and around like a damn lumberjack. There were people filtering in to sit back on the sidelines, here to watch, and this time some of them seemed to be here to watch him, which was a pleasant surprise. Jordan shot a sidewise grin at the audience, a brief acknowledgement before he pulled his attention back to the fight. It seemed he'd need to pay attention, too; that ax was pretty heavy, cutting into their shield. Jordan let the momentum of the hit push him sideways, and brought Ferros around in a horizontal arc to return the favor. HP: 51 Dmg: 7

It feels like he imagined being hit with a small car might feel. Starting in it's force it made him stumble, and the swing he'd had all nicely lined up went wide, instead. Grazing, rather cleaving. "s**t, that's intense." HP: 48 DMG: 2

Dakota didn't know who to go for but in the case of the fight, he brought a fold up chair, a bottle of whiskey and a straw.
He sipped from the straw like it was a soda and focused on the two fighters.

"We try," Jordan answered, and pressed the temporary advantage, following Zeke and swinging again, a steady, short arc. HP: 49 Dmg: 6
