Hunting was becoming more common place for Crocoite. Less of a chore, and not quite a duty. He found he was rather enjoying it. Especially when he found a senshi or a knight with a little shade of doubt in their minds. It was fun to manipulate them, to tempt them with darkness, or just to scare them.

He'd learned his appreciation of fear from his General, and though their methods differed, he came to respect that part of his training. Fear was a very, very useful tool. But it was not just being scared of dying, of blood or of pain, as Painite tended to think.

Crocoite saw fear in the day to day, in the routine of patrols, and the search for a purpose that all white moon soldiers seemed to face.

He knew they liked to patrol in the park, because other Negaverse soldiers liked to hunt there. They went for the homeless or the unaware, getting easy energy scores, while Crocoite opted to hunt the hunters, so to speak. Senshi came looking for trouble makers, and they found a predator instead.

He leaned on his cane, which was actually his weapon and not just a stylish accessory to his leather heavy look, and waited for that familiar blip of energy that came with a Senshi or knight appearing in 'range' of his ability to sense them. His radar was not the best, not what it could be, but he intended to get stronger.

So much stronger.

Larissa was out and patrolling the park. Why she was doing it was beyond her. January had been too cold for her tastes, and there wasn't much snow on the ground to justify it. Why couldn't her family have moved to someplace that didn't have winter? Like the Sahara?

However, patrolling did get her out of the house for a bit, and that was good enough for her, even though she now had to take a sweater and some gloves with her to make it through her patrols. The uniform was warm enough, she supposed it was magic, but it only made her so warm as to not give her frostbite. Otherwise it was like she was walking around in 50 degree weather, just enough to justify some warmer clothing.

And so, even though she looked a bit silly, she did her patrol around the park near her school. She had wanted to do the park closer to where she lived, but she was worried about any Negaverse agents possibly following her home. She was still new to this, but was sure that if the agents were as bad as Julienne had said, then she wouldn't have been surprised if there was a bit of stalking thrown in there as well.

Suddenly though, she felt... well she wasn't sure exactly what she was feeling. She supposed it was an aura, but she wasn't sure how to identify if it was a Negaverse agent's or not. So far she had only run into a Dark Mirror senshi and that had been bad but this aura... this was worse. She debated for a bit if she should try to confront them, but realized that if she felt them, they probably felt her. There would be no getting away from this one. She readied herself and went int he direction that it was coming from, only to see what seemed to be a... somewhat stylish guy who was leaning on a cane. But from the aura coming from him, Larissa knew that he was an agent. She scrunched up her face, not really sure how to... approach him. Instead she decided saying, "I suppose we don't need to introduce ourselves." would suffice.

Crocoite felt the pure, though in his mind twisted, aura that was heading toward him and frowned thoughtfully. There were still things he was learning how to do, like identify what type of soldier was around by the feel of their aura. He hated feeling like the ever behind student, rushing to catch up with the rest of the class. Especially because the rest of the class seemed to be comprised of people substantially younger than he was, and some of them markedly better at the whole Soldier thing, to boot.

It was infuriating, pure and simple.

But he kept his anger to himself. His goals to himself. He was a quiet, dangerous, thoughtful man with his own plans and methods to achieve those plans. He waited patiently and spotted the woman, a senshi. She seemed to regard him with disinterest, which he returned, shrugging at her words leisurely.

"I suppose that depends on if you're going to fight me, or attempt to preach at me." He watched her coolly, already liking her attitude about the whole thing. She probably had a lot of confidence, which was a fun thing to try and shake or even snap.

He tapped his finger against the crocodile head of the cane.

"I suppose it is only polite to know one's enemy. I am Crocoite."

Larissa frowned slightly. She wasn't sure what this agent was... up to, but he seemed calm and collected. Something that made a shiver go down her spine. "I don't believe I have a reason to preach at you. You're from the Negaverse, you drain people, I stop you, not sure what there is to tell you. It's not like you're going to stop just because I try talking to you." She wondered about that. What was the point of preaching to any Negaverse agent? Didn't they join willingly? And they were evil! They stole people's life force! And they volunteered to do it! How could one convince an agent to stop that? And even if they did, it would be hard for Larissa to forgive them for what they had done. She just didn't get it.

"I'll fight you if I have to though. I'm Larissa." Well if they were going to introduce themselves, might as well respond. She was sure he was trying to get some information about her, but she could do the same thing to him. Gathering information. Where she would put that information, was the question. She was still pretty new to all of this.

She wouldn't attack first unless the agent suddenly spotted a target and tried to drain them. She didn't really like to attack someone first just because they were evil. She thought she had a bit more class than that.

"Larissa? That almost sounds like a normal name. Not one an alien might have. Though I've always had some confusion about the whole... white moon space invader issue. I suppose it's above my pay grade to really care what makes my enemy my enemy, but I cannot help but be curious."

Really, he only knew the basics, and was not all that sure what the difference between knights and senshi really were. He knew the Royal Knight at the library was Painite's worst enemy, and thus he had inherited a hatred for the man, but beyond that he assumed the senshi and knights were all the same.

"I like your philosophy, though. You are very right: I won't stop just because you tell me to. In fact, it just makes me want to do more. So, I'm glad we can just cut to the chase, hm?"

He grinned wickedly all of a sudden, breaking his calm and almost regal demeanor. He charged at her, pulling his cane back and swinging it like a bat,
the heavier head of the crocodile leading the swing.

Larissa made a face. Aliens? What was this guy talking about. Then she wondered something. "Wait, do you actually think I'm an alien?" She looked incredulous, wondering what the heck they taught agents in the Negaverse. Sure, guardian cats were aliens... probably. She didn't really know how they worked, but if they were the ones to awaken senshi, then they couldn't be normal. She would have said that she was a regular human who had been given powers by one of the cats, but she stopped herself, thinking that may be too much information to give the agent. After all, they shouldn't know everything about senshi should they?

However, it seemed that he was really wanting a fight, and made a little quip about how not telling him made him want to do it more, like some sort of rebellious child or something, before he charged at Larissa. Larissa hadn't been expecting the speed at which the agent came at her, and only barely dodged the cane, though it hit her squarely on her right bicep, and knew that was going to be a bad bruise later.

She jumped back, and decided she would try some magic on the agent. She held her arms in front of her, almost like a DBZ pose before they shot out a beam, and said, "Waterlily dance!" She hoped it would give her a chance, or at least slow him down a bit, to see if she could possibly get a hit in herself. If he was too much for her, she would retreat though. She wouldn't be pushing her luck, she didn't have any training in fights, and from what she had heard, they were rarely ever coordinated like one saw in movies, so she would have to at least learn the basics first, she just hadn't been able to yet.

Waterlily Dance
She summons 5 waterlilies (about a foot in length) scattered randomly and closely, surrounding the target and move around. If the target steps on one of them, they cannot move from it (but can still move their arms and such). Lasts 35 seconds whether or not someone lands on it. If they do, they are stuck for however long the effect has left. Only effects her current target and can be used 3 times.

"Senshi don't belong here," Crocoite said evenly.

Whether he believed that or not was still up for debate, but he knew it was what Painite believed. What a lot of the Negaverse seemed to think. Whether they wanted Senshi gone or just completely wiped out, there was not a lot of room for compassion as far as he had been shown. His general told him to destroy every White Moon senshi he saw, and he had no real reason not to listen to her.

Except his power level, of course. He could not take out the strongest ones just yet. But the more he learned, the stronger he got, then the better he would get.

Not familiar with Dragonball Z, despite his hairstyle, Crocoite tilted his head at the Senshi's strange stance. This had to be her magic, which he had already learned from another fight could be very bad news. He had not learned how to teleport yet, so he instinctively took a step back. Of course, he was not anticipated for little flowers to surround him and then stop him dead in his tracks.

"Blast," he growled, but he still had his cane, and he held it up defensively. "Is this it, then? The limit of your power is a glue trap? How long can you hold me here, I wonder."

Larissa smiled widely. Her spell had worked! And she had managed to trap the agent in the flowers too! And! ... and...? Oh s***. A look of realization came on her face. While she knew how to use her magic, and while she had gone on patrol quite a bit, she didn't really know how to fight. Alphubel as of yet had been unable to giver her any tips as he had been busy with school, and she hadn't yet found another senshi who could teach her the basics of fighting. She really should have signed up with that personal trainer that had been recommended to her by Alphubel's older brother.

She took a step back, not really sure what to do. She could charge him, but he looked like he knew what he was doing. She tried to think, she only had a little time left before the flowers disappeared and he would probably go after her straight away. This was bad. This was what happened when she jumped into things without really knowing what to do!

Well, she clearly wouldn't be stopping him tonight, but hopefully she had annoyed him enough. She put on a serious face. "Long enough so that I can get away from you!" She said, before turning and running to get away, hoping that she would be fast enough and that he wouldn't bother to go after her.

Thank you for being so patient, as always!

Crocoite was trapped for a little while, watching the senshi sprint away as fast as her legs could carry her. She was quick. and he was very angry. More than that, though, he was embarrassed.

Once the spell faded, he stood there for a long moment, scowling down the street where she'd gone. He took a long, deep breath, deciding not to give chase. He would find her again, some time, and get his revenge properly.

The way Painite taught him to, the way a hunter really would. He could lay in wait, like the crocodile his clothes so aptly reflected, and he could strike when the time was right. Suddenly, he could understand why Painite invested so much time into hunting and setting traps.

It would be so satisfying, to put her in the ridiculous, embarrassing position he had just been in. Trapped and helpless. But Crocoite would not run away. No. He would not spare her when she was weak, as she had done to him.

He would end things properly, next time.
