Evening again! Nix reflected that maybe he should just tell his parents about his nightly escapades. Would certainly make sneaking out easier.

Boy, that'd be an awkward conversation.

Naturally, it was put off, and he snuck out into the night for another mighty fine training session (he hoped). All told, he was starting to feel fairly confident. There'd been a few hiccups, of course (encounters with negas, and the like), but he wasn't feeling like a know-nothing fool, at least.

Still. More to practice was always a good thing, so tonight he headed toward downtown. Seemed like an on buildings kind of night to him. (As opposed to 'in trees' or 'between buildings'.) He thought about sparring practice, but Themi was busy tonight, so that was right out (sparring with a building would be rude. Punch marks everywhere), so some run-and-jump training would be good.

He was at that for maybe 20 minutes, when he noticed a nearby aura as he landed from a jump off one of the taller buildings in town. He paused in his antics (wondering, briefly, if seeing him doing that would worry people), and turned in that direction. Nix was pretty sure he could see another senshi nearby--a girl, probably--and waved in her direction.

One benefit of dorm life was that Bluebell didn't have to worry about sneaking out under the watchful eye of her parents. You see, parents always had a way of sensing when their kids were up to no good. As long as you were a well behaved student though, dorm advisers tended to look to other way quite easily. It was simple enough to sneak out of her dorms, even if she was spotted it was easy enough to think up some excuse.

And that was exactly what she had done that night. Although, she had taken a good week off after a rather nasty fight with a Negaverse Lieutenant. A fight she was reminded of all to well when she powered up, her uniform did little to hide the bruises that were still on her arms and legs. At least she was able to hide them at school. At least the cool air felt good against her skin as she jumped from one building to the next. If Hyperborea of Cass caught her out right now, she was sure she'd be scolded. But, there was only so much sitting around she could handle.

She spent the first part of her evening jumping from one downtown building to the next, checking alleyways and making sure nothing funny was happening anywhere. She might not be up for kicking some negaverse butt, but she could make sure no one was getting mugged at least. Eventually she wandered close enough to another Order Aura tough.

"Please don't be Cass..." She could tell it was coming closer to her, but when they were finally in view she let out a little sigh of relief. When they waved at her, she returned the gesture with a small smile on her face.

One thing really stuck out to Nix as he got close enough to get a good look at the other senshi...and unintentionally, he made it the first thing he actually said to her, "Wow. You must be really cold with an outfit like that..." He shook his head and laughed. "Sorry, uh, I'm Nix!" He looks up toward some higher buildings a moment before saying, "I was just practicing my jumping! It's sorta...scary but exciting what we can do as senshis, isn't it?"

Wow, Toby, Nix thought to himself. Lame greeting...

Tsih hadnot been all that conscious of her uniform, until the very moment that some guy made a comment about it. A light blush crossed her face and she folded her arms against her chest. Maybe the cold would explain the red in her face, after all her outfit certainly didn't help to keep her warm at all. "I-It helps build discipline." There, that was a good enough excuse. Although, she really wished she had thought to bring a coat with her or something. Not because of the cold, but more the revealing nature of her outfit.

"I'm Tsih, Senshi of Pixies." They were close enough now that she could get a good look at the other Senshi, his outfit definitely gave her a good hint at what his own sphere might be. And she was definitely jealous of the complete coverage that it offered him.

"I never really thought of it as scary, but now that you mention it I can see it that way." Tsih had dived right in to her abilities after awakening. She wasted no time getting used to her enhanced speed and jumping around. "I was actually hoping to get a little bit of training done tonight as well." She was still annoyed about her fight with that officer the other week.

"Want to be my partner for the evening?"

It somehow had not occurred to Nix that commenting on a sensuous uniform like that might be embarrassing...that is, until she visibly blushed and covered herself. When he saw that reaction, his face also flushed red and he looked to the side.

He cheered back up when she suggested training together, and nodded cheerily at her. “Oh, yeah,” he said, “I’d love to! It’s much better training with somebody else!” He nodded once. “Like...you can’t practice fighting very well by yourself...I don’t think those punching the air routines really do much for real fights!”

He bounced on his feet a bit, like a boxer warming up...or just an excitable kid. “Oh, and...I’m the senshi of Frogs, by the way, but...” he glanced down. “I guess that’s pretty clear, isn’t it?”

Tsih chose to just push past that awkward moment in the beginning, it was bound to happen at some point. Sooner or later she'd really just have to get comfortable with it, although it would be easier to do it it weren't below freezing outside. It was very distracting to have numb fingers and toes in a fight. Though, it did help to numb the pain a bit.

"Exactly, a punching bag can only help you so much." Tsih would be the first to admit that she had very little experience in a fight and that had definitely gotten her into some trouble the other day. Hyperborea offered to help her out, but only after she was better. Well, she didn't have time to wait that long.

She chuckled a little bit at his enthusiasm, but quickly put herself into a defensive position. "Don't go easy on me just because I'm a girl."

"Don't worry," he said with a grin. "I won't!"

Things did start off fairly easy, though, as Nix mostly wanted to see what the girl did--and he had noticed some bruises on her exposed skin, so didn't especially want to make those worse. Nothing, he reasoned to himself, to do with this being a girl he was fighting.

He decided to go on the offensive immediately, lunging forward, and swinging a fist. He figured she could block it without much trouble, it was more a question of how she would do it that he wanted to see. "Where'd those, uh, bruises come from?" he decided to ask after a bit of maneuvering and swinging.

It was great that Nix seemed so enthusiastic, he seemed like a friend she'd be more than happy to tackle these Senshi matters with. It would be nice to have someone other than Cass and Hyperborea on her side. They always dotted on her more than she would have liked. She'd been at this for a while now, she didn't always need people worrying over her.

When the fist was swung her way she decided to simply take step back, letting the arm swing out in front of her harmlessly. She had picked up a few things from her run in with the Lieutenant, it was better to dodge a fist then block one if you could help it. In reals fight, people didn't hold back from hitting as hard as possible. Her arms would thank her for it in the long run.

"From some blonde hussy..." She grumbled out. "I stalled her long enough for a civilian to escape anyway." She got in a few good hits of her own, though in the end she had used her magic to escape. You bet she'd be looking to get her revenge later though. She decided to swing her own fist, wanting to see how the other would decide to evade as well. ust some simple things to start them off.

Nix nodded at the explanation. Negaverse agents did seem to crop up everywhere...usually up to no good. "Well, with a bit of practice, I'm sure it'll be her with the bruises after!" He grinned at her confidently.

She dodged. Seemed like a good idea, all told. No reason to make more bruises if you could help it, naturally. When she struck back, he did as well, but instead of just dodging back, he went to the side and tried to sweep her legs with a low swing of his own leg. If she did go down, he'd do his best to keep her from slamming her head or anything, but...gotta keep moving!

Tsih gave a little scoff, like she was semi-offended by something Nix had said to her. "Who said she got off scotch free? I clocked her first." It had been true, of course she had taken the other girl by surprise. It's not like that had been the only hit she had gotten in, but Tsih had walked away in worse shape than the officer for sure.

His comment got under her skin for a moment though and she let her guard down. Honestly, she had expected him to swing back at her with a fist, but then she felt legs come out from under her. How stupid, she had done the same thing to the Lieutenant. It seemed talking during a fight really could be distracting. A hand went out in front of her, seeing as Nix obviously didn't intend to let her fall down. She grasped onto his outreached hand and somehow managed to get a foot back under herself to keep her from falling down completely.

When she was back on her own two feet she looked a little embarrassed again. "It might be that my ability to swing a punch is okay, but my ability to get offended and hot-headed is....not so great."

As soon as she was back on her feet properly, Nix stepped back from Tsih, and nodded at her observation. "Yeah, gotta keep focused on what you're up against!"

"I, uhm, am really just a beginner when it comes to, you know, fighting technique and all that," he said lightly, "But I'm learning, and with all this," he waved a hand lightly, "Magical stuffs, I think the really important thing is to always be watching, and thinking...like, uh...what does your magic do?"

He looked around as he said, "My magic lets me make, uh...frog tongues." He paused, and grinned. "Like this!" With his face turned away from Tsih slightly, he stuck his real tongue out, and a slightly glowing ethereal one launched out from right out in front of him, thunked nearby, and came back...with a brick. He grabbed the brick as it returned, and he showed it, grinning. The magic tongue was gone as well.

"See, since I can do that, I try to keep an eye out for ways I can use that in a fight. Maybe grab something like this brick, to sling it, or just hit who I'm fighting directly...though," he shrugged then. "I know not everybody's magic works like that."

Sailor Scout Attack: Tongue Bash
Nix rocks forward, opens his mouth, and creates a large ethereal frog tongue which shoots out up to 15 feet away. It strikes with pretty decent force, able to knock things back, hurt like a hard punch. The attack may leave a bruise if the player chooses to take any lasting damage. Though the tongue is ethereal and can only hit one target per cast, if he hits a small, light object, it may stick to the tongue as it retracts. As soon as the tongue has fully retracted, it disappears. He can do this three times.

Tsih knew that she could be a little hot-headed at times, she had a bad tendency to rush into things without fully thinking them through. Sometimes there isn't time to think, action could speak louder than words. It was something she'd have to work on. It might not hurt to enroll in some sort of self-defense class as well. But where would she find time for that on top of everything else?

"Frog tongues?" She watched as he used his magic and chuckled a little bit. "I don't mean to laugh. I just...I pictured something funny in my head." The image of him licking some bady guy and the look on their face. It was rather amusing, but she had to admit his magic was very useful. If Tsih had had some sort of weapon, anything really, things would have been a little more fair against the Agent she had fought before.

"My magic summons pixie dust. It disorients my enemies. It's a pretty good tool for getting away or distracting my opponent." She still felt silly using it at times, magic was always just fantasy to her before a few months ago. Still, since he had shared she called out her attack as well and the dust formed in her hand. She made sure to blow it away from him though and it simply disappeared with the night breeze.

"Oh, pixie dust?" he asked with a grin. "That's cool! Maybe you could use it to like...do feint attacks? Like, go to punch, make your pixie dust puff around, and then...kick 'em in the crotch!" He chuckled a little, then held up a hand, "But please don't do that to me!" He was only mock-serious, thinking there was no way she'd actually do that.

He watched the dust sparkle in the breeze, and nodded, big smile still on his face. "Yeah! Very cool. I'll bet you could pull off all kinds of things with that. Uhm..." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I guess getting away and distracting is pretty much the gist, though. Anyway, shall we keep going?"

As part of his question, he resumed a light fighting stance, smile still on his face.

We can have as much or as little detail as you'd like for continued fighting~

Tsih's let out a surprising burst of laughter at the idea of hitting some Agent in a very private area. She was sure if things got bad enough, she wouldn't hesitate to do just that. But, she didn't see a reason in testing out such a move on Nix, that would be awfully rude. Heck, it was rude to do it to an enemy, but at least there it was using dirty tricks against someone who would easily do the same.

"It's a useful enough bit of magic. Plus, it's annoying when it gets in your eyes." She learned that one fun day on a particularly windy evening. At least her own magic didn't effect her, but it was still irritating. Her magic had a very huge flaw.

"Sure, I'll toss a few more punches your way." She resumed a light stance as well and went at it with the other Senshi, blocking and dodging hat she could while getting in some attacks on her own. Nix really knew what he was doing, which was certainly a nice change of pace. Cass had only warned her about fighting, not really taught her what to do when it couldn't be avoided.

Nix grinned, and nodded. “Let’s do it, then!”

The two spent a while after that like they were in some kind of movie montage, except with less music, and more just talking about the idea behind moving, punching, and dodging when one has magically enhanced superhuman abilities. Still, Nix felt like it was helpful for him, even if he was the one doing most of the explaining and showing—they say teaching is the best teacher, right? Somebody said that, he was sure.

Either way, eventually, Nix said, “I think that’s probably enough for tonight, what do you think?” And then wiped a bit of sweat from his brow...even if it was a bit cold out.
