Hika was taking a walk, enjoying the warm air, and the sunlight, grateful that the island was as nice as it was. She did NOT miss the San Francisco chill, honestly, and was glad to have escaped it. In the meantime, she was going to enjoy the heat and sun while it was still something fairly novel to her. She brushed her bangs back and turned a corner, when a sound caught her ear. She paused, and frowned, then decided to move towards it. It sounded rather like a rhythmic banging noise, and she really wanted to know what was causing it. After several minutes of walking, and hearing it get louder, she turned a corner, and was confronted by the sight of an unknown man, hammering at something. "Wh... what?" She asked, thoroughly confused.

Tzei walks right into Hika, arms laden with just veritable boatloads of scavenged crap. She doesn't know what she's going to make, but it's gotta be useful for something.
"Oops! Hi-chan. My bad. What're you .."
She squints. The hammering man looks distracted, and she could really use some extra tools.

Another one of the boards had come loose from one of the main buildings. Okay make that several boards. As Clyde had searched it turned out that more than several had come loose. At first he was jist going to tap one back into place, but who knew what had happened here. Probably some sort of fight.some of the nails were bent side ways.
Clyde sighed and pulled out a few useless ones.
Clyde didn't realize was that he was attracting a crowd. He was so focused on what he was doing that it took a moment for him to realize that there were other people. And then he realized he was being watched. Stopping what he was doing he turned around, "oh, uh, hello?"

Hika jumped when Tzei banged into her, and stared, startled. "I was just going for a walk, and heard banging. What are you doing with all of that?" She looked at all of the stuff in Tzei's arms, wondering what on earth her odd but nice friend was UP to with it. When Clyde turned to face them, however, she turned back, cheeks going a ruddy red color as she realized perhaps she should have said something to him sooner. "Ah... Hello. Why are you hitting the wall with a hammer?" She looked at the man, curiously, taking in the details of him.

"Oh, you know. Tables. Chairs. Restraints. Boring stuff." Tzei drops the entire stash haphazardly on the floor and crouches down near that other guy. The one with all the tools. The one with all the many, varied, useful tools. "Need some help, buddy?" She says, smiling, picking up a crowbar with absolutely no intention of putting it back where it came from.

Clyde garbbed the crowbar. He had carefully assembled this kit. As a moon, he wound up using a lot of things. And this was part of his personal toolkit that he dragged around everywhere with himself. He was not about to let go of his personal tools. "That's mine."
" what are you doing with that?. Did you get that from the moon base. I'm pretty sure that you're not supposed to be using all that." He didn't recognize this person, but he couldn't think of a reason to have all that, junk. And they had just tried to help themselves to his tools. Not going to happen.
"I was just going to do a quick repair pf this wall, and it's turning into a job." Clyde kept his eye on Tzei incase she decided something else was hers. He had dealt witb sticky fingered friends before, and these tools would come out pf his paycheck if they went missing.

Boo. A sharp one. Tzei casts one last, longing look at the collection of tools, and then finally looks at their owner. "You can get tons of crap on the beach, my man--eh? Moon has a base? With stuff? Hmmmm." Something to remember for later. In the meantime, she eyes the wall. "Why are you fixing this? Is it yours? ...Why is this wall made of wood? For real though, need help?" She studies the flammable material, and thinks that perhaps the basement isn't too bad after all.

Hikaru watched the two of them, her brows lifted high. Finally, she decided how to handle this. "Do you have any suggestions on where someone with an interest in tools might be able to buy them at a decent price, sir?" She said, her head tilted. It might be better, perhaps, if she just got a few as a gift for Tzei. "Are you normally involved in construction, then?" She added, curiously. She glanced back at the heap of things Tzei had dropped, and found herself thinking about the word 'restraints' and how Tzei had labeled that as 'boring' stuff. What was she restraining, and why on earth... No. Hika wasn't going to go there. Instead, she would simply encourage her friend in her goals of working in would by getting her tools. "I am Hikaru, or Hika, by the way." She decided to introduce herself.

The first girl was definitely the more polite of the two. But clearly these two hadn't been around long if they didn't realize that a moonie did construction. Or that this place was almost constantly in a state of repairs. "Some of the walls are. Some aren't. This one is." Clyde shrugged. "I'd rather they stay upright but what all with the flood damage and such, some of this just needs to be replaced." "Tools are for check out at the moon division. I'm Clyde by the way. Division moon. We are the ones who make sure there is a base to fall back to on the field."

"Oh. Yeah. I'm Tzei. Dunno any moons - wait, no, guess I know you now." Too lazy to move from her crouching position, she studies the damaged planks a little more. This wall looks like it could get damaged by lightning, or flood, or literally a gust of particularly strong wind. Nothing you could nail handcuffs to. Always disappointing. She wonders if Hikaru can crouch down - probably not, what with that cheongsam and all. "So you fix 'em all by yourself? Damn."

"A pleasure to meet you, Clyde." She brushed her hair back, as she often found herself doing, to make sure she could see fully. "Oh. Moon Division? I have heard of you, but I do not believe I have met anyone from Moon as yet. Except, perhaps, at Dares, but if anyone there was Moon, well... We were not discussing our divisions, so I really did not know." She looked around, and found a rock of a size that she could sit on it, without exposing herself inappropriately, and also within easy speaking distance. She walked over and settled herself on it, legs crossed demurely in front of her. "I have only been awake since the end of November, you see, so I am still learning this place, and what I can do here. I hope to get to know more, and expand my circle of acquaintances, but for now, it is a small pool of people who I know as more then 'that guy who did that thing at Dares'. Though the Owl Man was... interesting."

"Sometimes I fix by myself. it depends on the job." Clyde shrugged and briefly flexed his muscles as if evaluating what they could do. "Oh? Sounds like I missed out on fun stuff again. I'm sure it was more fun than truth and truth while stuck on that island." though that had been entertaining too. "Who was owl Man? What did he do?" Clyde leaned on the wall, hammer hanging in his hand lazily. They seemed to agree on the crazy, at least the girl wasn't eyeing his tools anymore. "I'm always up for coffee and gym buddies."

Hika watched Clyde flex his muscles, and her eyes went wide. This was not something she had expected, but then she blinked, and refocused as Clyde spoke. "Mmm well, it sounds like you're a handy man to know." She paused, blinked again, and then, cheeks pink as she realized what she had said, added "NO PUN INTENDED." "It was fun, mostly, though there was definitely an a*****e there." She sounded bitter, very bitter. "As for the Owl Man, he was creepy. Apparently he is a man who can, somehow, turn INTO an owl for a period of time. From what I saw, he didn't tell a young man who I think is his son? And convinced the young man that he was just a talking Owl. Somehow or other... I wasn't paying attention til things went badly... The young man found out the truth during the game, and got VERY angry about being lied to, apparently repeatedly? He threw the owl, who became the man after, and left. I was warned to stay away from them." She made a face, and added "Given what I saw, after, I am inclined to do so anyways. He dared someone who was clearly NOT ok with it to sit on his lap, in front of someone who I think he is in a relationship with? The woman did, but then the OwlCreep put his hands around her onto her stomach, commenting on how flat it was... She looked like she was ready to scream." Hika looked pissed off about it, and well... She'd LIKED Peyton, from the interactions she'd had. The woman had seen everything Hika normally hid, and hadn't cared. "Coffee is lovely... I'm not sure I'd be any good at the gym, though." She didn't want to do anything that might encourage potential testosterone, for one thing.

"HAH! Handy."
She would have clapped Hikaru on the back, but she's over here and Hikaru is over there and really that's just a lot of energy expenditure.
"You work out a lot, huh? I'll pass. Coffee, though - I got a ton of that. You can come by and help yourself."
She listens, fascinated by what she apparently missed that evening.
"Wonder how he scammed his kid into thinking a talking owl was a thing. ...Wonder how he managed to make a talking owl become a thing. Looks like you managed to swap your clothes back, though, eh?"
