 The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite, standing off to the side to monitor!
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.
OOC RULES:
- THIS FIRST BATTLE YOU WILL HAVE 96 HOURS (4 days) to complete because I am starting them early. The rest will be 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.

THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

He was in a staggeringly bad mood.
For a myriad of reasons, but most of them centered around the fact that, a few weeks ago now, he'd been dumped by his boyfriend, the love of his life, and Annabergite had yet to actually recover from this. The energetic enthusiasm he generally mustered on a normal basis was halfhearted now at best; everything felt stiffer, more of an effort, aggravatingly frustrating.
The excess of energy he generally had was now directed solely to a sense of depression and anger all balled up into one, which did not make for a pleasant opponent.
Annabergite gave the woman - Stibinite, it seemed, was her name - a brief, dismissive look.
"I'm ready if you are," he said flatly.

Stibnite stood back, her arms crossed under her chest as she gazed at the man she had been paired with for the first round. Colorful but annoyed. Those were the two words that came to mind with that bright blue addition to his uniform. She couldn't say much to his hair as they both seemed to have an interesting luck with white. His dismissive look towards her though caused Stibnite to just roll her eyes and shake her head. Someone clearly seemed to not be amused by this at all. Oh well. Practice was practice and she needed more of a challenge anyway. "Always." She gave him a curt smile.

She had not summoned her weapon, deciding to start this off the old fashion way, but an unevenness in the ground caused her steps to stumble. He was likely not going to do particularly well in this, but there was no harm in at least trying. And besides, fighting was an excellent way for Annabergite to get all of his heaping aggression out in a method that was acceptable by most standards.
He took a quick leap backwards as Stibinite lurched towards him, swinging an arm, and resisted a very strong urge to make a snide remark as she missed him, Annabergite's gloved hands gripping both of his daggers. After a moment, he lunged forward as well, swinging one short blade towards her abdomen, a look of intense concentration on his pale face.

HP:26/30 Attack 5-2=3 The stumble had knocked Stibnite off balance more than she expected. His first strike sliced through the air and she had just enough sense of direction to suck in so it didn't slice through her organs. That didn't mean that it didn't hurt when the blade found skin under that fabric. A wince passed over her face, masking the annoyance she felt at herself. Yet at this distance, Stibnite could react nicely as she used his momentum to lift her knee up into the lunge his body feel into. Note to self...invest in chest armor. Ow..

He had a very strong urge to drive one of his daggers into the chinks in the armor that he could see - which admittedly, wasn't very much, but it was something, and it was there, and he was irrationally irritated about it, just like he was irrationally irritated about everything.
Stibinite's knee came up and caught his stomach as he moved, Annabergite staggering back with a gasp. One of the daggers was flipped, then twisted around to try and stab into her upper arm, Annabergite trying to pivot around enough to avoid her next thrust.

HP:26/30 Attack: 1 - 2 = Rather annoyed Stibs (Aka...miss) It seemed that with his move to dodge her, they both took a swing and a miss of the other. Taking a step back, putting a bit of distance between them, Stibnite gave him a nod. "Not bad."

Her comment just made him scowl further.
"No thanks to you," Annabergite said, far snippier than was necessary, and took a swing at her, lunging forward, heels skidding on the ground. He could eel the rush of adrenaline in his veins, the sharp pulse beneath his chest that kept beating, even when everything else inside of him ached.

HP: 24/30 Attack: 5 - 2 = 3 The snide remark caused Stibs to blink back a small bit of confusion before she could brace herself for his hit. The mark struck her in the shoulder as she tried to edge away, reaching to grab his own arm and yank it behind him through the lunge. "You shouldn't fight angry. You make more mistakes that way." She commented, watching his face. Honestly, she just didn't want to die for whatever reason made him so frustrated.

He had barely managed a glancing blow, which was annoying. Annabergite felt fingers wrap around his arm as Stibinite yanked him forward, his feet skidding off balance, his pulse quickening. The adrenaline of the fight threaded through his veins, the frustration building with each syllable of each word spoken.
Annabergite reeled his arm back with a glower.
"No one asked you," he snapped and slammed his knee upwards into her stomach.

HP: 18/30 Attack: 1 - 2 = -1 Other downside of fighting someone filled with emotion... Stibnite felt the air leave her body as his knee made contact. Bending over, Stibnite stepped back, trying to catch her breath. "Shi..." She hissed out, eyeing him out of her hood. She had to be ready.

He could have been nicer.
He could have been his usual sweet, cheerful, overly abundant self that was positively brimming with curiosity and excitement and eagerness to prove himself that he was a good and faithful member of the Negaverse, and that he was entirely capable of handling things.
He could have been that, maybe a few weeks ago. But the bitterness was buried too deep now, ingrained in his thoughts, settling like rain across his mind, sinking into each and everything he did.
Annabergite swung the dagger around again, driving it towards Stibinite's thigh.

HP:14/30 Attack: 9 - 2 = 7 The pain flashed through her body as his dagger dug into her thigh. A flash of red passed over her eyes and she lowered her head. Fine, he wanted to play it this way, game on. She wasn't going to back down without a true spat. A right fist drew back and with speed, Stibnite brought it flying forward towards his jaw.

He could see that he was angering her, and somehow, instead of making him mortified as it might have, with him trying to rectify the situation with flowery words, it only fueled Annabergite's annoyance, his teeth gritting together as Stibinite's fist landed smack against his jaw.
The blow sent him staggering backwards, teeth grinding painfully, head snapping back. Pain exploded across Annabergite's face, momentarily overwhelming him as his vision wavered, his chest heaving for breath, eyes wide and startled, almost losing the grasp on one of the daggers. His hand flew up instinctively, gloved fingertips touching his face.
The blue eyes burned. He lunged, one dagger swiping towards Stibinite's shoulder.
