The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite, standing off to the side to monitor!

The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.

OOC RULES:

- THIS FIRST BATTLE YOU WILL HAVE 96 HOURS (4 days) to complete because I am starting them early. The rest will be 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.

- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.

- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.

- If you have any questions, please contact kuropeco through Discord or PM!

THE MECHANICS

Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!

Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)

( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )

Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!

The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

Adamantine had mostly joined to test her new super powers against others, and what better way to show off the teachings of Laby's wolf pack, then in a tournament against others.

She had come with Zircon though, as a competitor and as an assistant to the general beta of their group. She would watch Zircon's fight when it happened, though she wasn't sure if the woman would do the same for her. It wouldn't matter though.

She stood in the middle right of the room, her arms crossed and a stoic face played on her features. She hadn't met many other negaverse members, so she wondered who she'd be fighting up against.

He was not one for tournaments.

He was not one for anything that involved inter-cooperation among the Negaverse that did not directly involve those of his own team or those that he worked with and had a working relationship with. But Kamacite had decided to take part in it, which meant that, in spite of all reservations, Wolfeite would attend as well.

He had to play the part, after all. And he would not have let Kamacite go on his own, either way.

He stood at the edge of the assembled ring, arms folded across his chest, the mask up over the lower half of his face. Beside him, Maledictus' large, hulking form was seated, skeletal head somewhere around Wolfeite's hip, massive paws pressed firmly to the ground.

Adamantine was given a brief look, Wolfeite's golden eyes flickering over her pale face before he returned his attentions back to Kamacite. The recognition was there, but the focus was not on the senshi of his former team, only the one of his own.

Tourmaline had a moment between spars-- the one that she was in herself as well as those she had noted down as 'need to watch'. She was here not only to exercise and prove her own abilities, but to grow as she learned from the strength of others. She was also here to show support for familiar faces, new and old.

Tourmaline remembered Adamantine clearly, although the senshi she recalled was not quite the one in the arena down below. The young woman had grown in strength. Super now? Good. It was good to know that she had persisted; that she had survived.

No thanks to you.

A puff of air blew the tuft of her bangs away from her face as she feigned boredom, crossing her arms over her chest as she leaned back against the nearby wall. She very pointedly ignored the nagging voice in her head trying to push doubt back upon her, bright green eyes refocusing back on the ring. She was very much looking forward to seeing Kamacite perform again after the round he'd gone against her own Lieutenant during their last 'group event'.... And it was good seeing Wolfe there being supportive as well.

Tourmaline wondered oh so briefly if Aue would be joining the audience too.

Zircon hardly knew Adamantine. A few stilted conversations, a meeting or two, but by and large the two existed in separate orbits around the man they both took orders from. The general was made of older stuff, and still wasn't sure that the corrupts weren't anything more than a weapon to be used. Still, as a participant of the tournament, it was expected that she show some form of camaraderie, and so she watched from the outside of the ring of chairs, standing with her arms folded behind her back.

She didn't know the other corrupt--there were so many, how was she possibly supposed to keep track--but he seemed beatable. That was about as encouraging a feeling as she could muster for the whole affair.

Much like many of the others attending, he had some down time between 'events' and chose to take that time to observe battles that were germane to his interests, such as the one between those that had been and were his Packmates. Aue was unsure which of the two corrupt senshi would come out victorious, for he did not know Adamantine Spar's strengths - if he ever had - and Kamacite, while effective in his own way had a lot of hangups that were still being worked on.

There was simply no telling whether or not he'd be able to clear his mind effectively enough to fight the female corrupt, or if luck would be on his side.

Still, it was an excellent chance for him to use the Mauvian technology to record the battle as a means to assist in Kamacite's training, later. Which was part of why he'd wanted to attend. Tourmaline and Wolfeite were there as well, both received nods of respect, as did the now General Zircon. Aue would not disrespect any of his superior officers, there was no point in doing so, they were all ranked above him and all deserving of his notice.

Aue began recording, not bothering to sit - it would be a better feed if he wasn't stationary and could move some to keep the views as dynamic as possible.

This whole thing was a horrible idea. Why Kamacite thought that he would be ready for not just meeting up with other people to try and fight, but in front of people as well, he had no idea. Even though he was on medication to try and keep his anxiety under control, and had been training with Aue and others in his pack, Kamacite was very much regretting the decision to even try doing something like this.

He was not ready. He should definitely just forfeit and say he had a stomach ache or something. That was acceptable, right?

What he hadn’t expected was for those he knew to actually bother watching. Not just Wolfeite, but Aue and Tourmaline as well. Another General he’d never met was in attendance too. He couldn’t run away, even if butterflies in his stomach wanted to eat him alive.

Kamacite forced himself to keep his hands lowered by his sides, even though he wanted to nervously press them both over his rapidly beating heart, nodding to the other senshi in her dark, sparkling blues.

"Shut up," the captain grumbled at the mau on his shoulder.

The makeshift stadium was crowded, the matches had just begun, and Tiberius hounded him endlessl to walk faster are we there yet I can't see why aren't you taller whenarewegoingtoseethefightsIneedtowatchKamacitehurryitupstopbeingsuchapussybitchandWALK and Faustite seethed with the need to feed the oversized morsel to a youma. But schörl held them each captive, and for one to disappear would reflect terribly on the other.

So Tiberius kept his scruffy, ungrateful life and Faustite attended the stands for a modicum of schadenfreude. For while he knew nothing of Kamacite's opponent, he knew the super senshi and his endless penchant for disappointing his mmediate audience. Faustite was interested in a show of consistency — and a demonstration of the power so lauded by officers. Surely Negaverse senshi exhibited abilities on par with Generals' deadly weapons.

He cut through the stands, thankful for his slight frame and odorous existence, and most offered him a berth. He cared not if it was for his inhuman appearance or the smell of his smoke; he sighted Aue among the attendees along with an open space at his side. So, cutting through a last group of lieutenants, Faustite seated himself with the onerous cat still clinging staunchly to his shoulder.

"Do you think he'll stand a chance?" While an honest question, Faustite made little effort to hide his low opinion.

Ada's glance at Wolfe and Tour was met with a curious sort of glance. Since they had left the pack, she hadn't seen them, nor had she cared to look. In their abandonment of the group, she had moved on to learning from Alkaid and taking care of herself. With Zircon here though, she knew that reputations would be on the line, and she was just as accountable for the general she answered for.

Seeing them there, was not for her, but it didn't really bother her. Her goal of this was to represent what General Laby's wolves were made of. Her gaze lingered on the other corrupt, his nervous gestures and glances around told her that he was weak.

She wouldn't count her chickens, but as a wolf, she was going to devour him whole. Her stance only shifted, basically inviting him to attack first.

Zircon would find something trying to climb her prosthetic, sliding and landing on the ground, and then scampering to the other leg. Which, you know, had clothes the entire way. Silk's claws briefly dug into the fabric as he literally climbed the General from the ground, until he crested onto her shoulder. There he hunkered his claws down to secure himself, and looked bright eyed and alert.

"Adamantine hasn't started fighting yet, has she!?" The kitten asked eagerly, despite the fact she was standing right there before his eyes. Waiting.

Yeah.

The glance towards the spectators didn’t go unnoticed, nor did the way she looked at both Generals Wolfeite and Tourmaline. Why did she look at them that way? Like she knew them, but didn’t quite care for them? Kamacite knew there was a lot he didn’t know about the Negaverse, but there was something… off… about the way she held herself now that she noticed who was in the crowd.

And he didn’t miss the way she looked at him.

He didn’t blame her. He would have looked at himself with disgust as well. How someone could have made their way to being promoted and still be like he was, sometimes even he didn’t know. He’d risked his life for Wolfeite. Had shown his loyalty to him. Had the bite mark on his neck to prove it.

She looked like she was ready to tear his throat out if given a chance, rules about no killing be damned.

There was a glance first to Wolfeite, and then to Aue, before he straightened himself and positioned his feet in the way he’d been trained. She made no move, so he would attack first. The clock was running.

He darted forward, using the heel of his hand to aim for her throat. Maybe he could rip out hers before she could him.

Her breathing evened out, her feet were firmly planted and she lost the focus on the others around her. The only thing that mattered was her, and the one that was suppose to be prey.

If she thought like that, then it would make the battle easier for her. It was plain to see that he was the kind that would go stupidly for the weakest point first. She didn't move her body much to avoid his attack, her body only shifting slightly to let his hand hit at her shoulder. The sting was real, but her face didn't change at the impact.

Instead she twisted her body, bringing her leg up to push back at him in a crescent moon kick, like she had seen Laby do so many times before. The kick his solidly before her leg was brought back down and she resumed the position, ready for another rushed attack.

Her gaze would not falter on Kama's either, as she knew that was a way to unnerve another.

SPEKTATORZ

Aue watched Kamacite's anxiety ramp up and there hadn't been a single punch thrown. He will psyche himself out before it even starts at this rate. But his packmate seemed to pull together well enough for a first blow, going for Adamantine Spar as Aue had taught, though it did not land nearly as well as one would have hoped. It was obvious that Kamacite would be disheartened by it.

"Calm and steady! It is like any spar, Kamacite!" The Finn's words cut through the hum, sharp and short as they would have been during a training session, then he snapped his mouth shut and returned to his silent survey.

At his side, eventually, a recognized pair. Faustite and Mauvian Tiberius. The cat was chittering excitedly, Faustite asking a question Aue wasn't sure was posed to him or the sack of stripes. "A chance, if he keeps out of his own head. He has been trained well, he is skilled." But he trips himself too much. Is his own worst enemy. You know this, Faustite. You see it as well as I do. She also sees it and she has just met him.

--

Claws holding to fabric, Tiberius paced Faustite's shoulders as Kamacite took his first go at the leggy bird. "KICK HER a**!" The Mauvian cheered on his senshi, tail bottle-brushed with excitement, jaws working as he chittered as though he'd found a bit of prey he couldn't reach. He wasn't paying attention to the question Faustite had pressed, not caring if it was for him or the lemon b*****d - his entire world had narrowed down to the two corrupts.

His senshi versus another senshi. Kamacite surging forward to strike, going for her throat like the beautiful child had been taught. Disable. Disarm. It didn't work but! He learned! Tiberius was proud.

"KEEP AT HER! GET HER! GO SPARKLES GOOOO!!!"

SPECTATOR

He had seen the flash of pink that had indicated Tourmaline was there as well, Wolfeite's glowing, golden gaze moving briefly to rest on her, lips curving up into a faint smirk that she wouldn't be able to see underneath the mask. Maledictus gave a low growl of recognition at his side, but didn't move from his spot, red eyes flashing.

Aue's presence was noted, standing a short distance away. Zircon, that general that he scarcely knew, was also in attendance, presumably to keep an eye on Adamantine. Wolfeite let his eyes roam across her features for a moment longer than strictly necessary, then returned his attention to the fight at hand.

He had played this way with Lorne. He knew how to shape things, how to carve out his own presence in someone's life, twist things around to make them work for him. He knew how to work the field, how to level things to his own advantage.

He was doing that now, with Kamacite. He needed to.

Wolfeite's chin lifted ever so slightly, still watching, still silent; but there was something in his expression, in the glowing eyes, that said something along the lines of keep going. You can do it. I know you can.

The first strike performed as well as Faustite expected. Flinchingly, ineffectually, and shyly. Faustite knew the difficulties of attacking a comrade — he faltered many a time fighting Umber — but Kamacite wore the uniform of a super senshi. Faustite expected more from any other officer.

But this officer cried to simple questions.

"All that training means noth—"

The cat screamed, and Faustite yelped from abuse to his ears. He pressed fingers against the offended organs for as much as his wrists protested it. Hissing through his teeth, he looked to the ground next to Aue. "Can you scruff him? Will that shut him up?" The cat clamored and roiled on his shoulders, seemingly oblivious to the pair.

"If Kamacite nears losing, throw this cat into the ring. Disqualify them both before Kamacite starts bawling in front of an audience."
