 The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite, standing off to the side to monitor!
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.
OOC RULES:
- THIS FIRST BATTLE YOU WILL HAVE 96 HOURS (4 days) to complete because I am starting them early. The rest will be 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.

THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

Lieutenant Cornetite had received a summons from General Tourmaline and was none too pleased to find out that she had entered him in a tournament. He would have liked to have had some time to prepare, but courtesy didn't seem to be a thing that Tourmaline had much of when it came to him. Go figure. He and the others from their 'squad' were paired off into brackets matching their rank. He'd never even heard the name of his partner before. That boded better than it being someone familiar, he supposed-- better than fighting against Nitratine or Mab. Cornetite muttered a soft curse beneath his breath as he stepped into the ring, summoning his softly glowing rave poi to his hands, supposing he could just throw them as a distraction if it really came down to that.... Grymoire Just in case you want to lurk. Syrie I'm sure Hals would appreciate his cheerleaders. >.>

Piypite had nearly burned down General Leucite's office when he and Stibnite had informed her that she had been entered into a tournament. Not only did she have zero interest in the matter, she honestly didn't give a flying flip about 'needed practice'. Ha! At least she had been able to find Wardite had been just as surprised as her. But now as she stood there, gazing across the floor at the other Lieutenant she had been paired with, Piypite felt a light, twisted smirk cross her face. "Hello there handsome." She winked watching him summon whatever trinked was his weapon. "What say you and I just blow the joint?" There was a half serious, half joking in Piypite's voice. Oh she wanted to stick it too all the higher ups but was the punishment worth it? Maybe...

"Tempting. Incredibly tempting. Afraid not, though, doll. Y'see, somewhere in the wings there's a General wearing black with bright pink trim and I'm sure she'll make my life a living hell if I bail out now. Won't do you the disrespect of not taking this seriously either, so.... Ladies first?" He flashed her a grin, dropping his hands down to his sides while leaving himself entirely open for her to take the first blow.

"Well, a gentleman in the ranks? Now this is a first." Piypite offered him a now playful grin. "It's a fresh surprise. Though why not just tell your General to back off and stop messing with your life?" She hadn't yet but that was Piy's plan...once she was 18 at least and legally allowed out of their eyes. "I would just hate to mess up that face of yours. But if you insist." Piy shrugged, offering herself up. "I offer you first strike instead. Make it a good one?" "Between you and me, Doll?" He glanced back and forth for a moment before leaning in, making it seem as though he was doing his very best to remain quiet about the whole thing-- like his General could be lurking around and listening, ready to pounce at any second if he didn't comply. He supposed that she could be, honestly, but with the number of teammates they had off fighting in random battles he doubted it, showing no actual fear in his statement as he used the nickname one of his dear friends had cautioned him about using. "Pinky has some dirt on me and I'd really hate to get on her bad side." Had he known that the young woman before him had been a minor he might have felt worse about stepping close just to sweep his foot out and trip her like he did right at that second. He didn't, however, and so no guilt was had as he tried to knock her to the ground. [ 20 HP ]

HP 15/20 Attack: 7 - 2 = 5 Down Piypite went, landing with a hard thud on her backside as her leg came out from under her. Blinking back up at him, Piy offered a false frown before cracking a smile into a light laugh. "Blackmail? Oh that's rich!" She offered, rolling back into a kip up as the wardens had taught her. "I may have to meet this Pinky. Sounds like a fun kind of woman." With those words, Piy reached out to the male, put her hand around the back of his head to hold it here and launched her own head in towards his nose. "Sorry Handsome. Make it up to you later."

"Oh, she's a real blast. I'm sure you'd absolutely-- gah..." The cut off sound of a curse followed whatever words he hadn't said as her forehead caught him soundly in the nose. His vision went red as pain exploded through his head-- not broken, he didn't think,but it certainly smarted and had he not managed to resist her pull just slightly due to the difference of their size the pain he felt might have been much worse... And there might have been more blood than just a vague trickle coming from his nostril. He'd let his guard down and Tourmaline was going to have his head for it. "Geeze, Doll, who taught you how to fight a guy? Has anyone shown you what to do if someone comes up from behind and grabs you like this?" he asked as he reached out to roughly take hold of her wrist. Might as well turn it into a bit of a self-defense lesson too. He still didn't want to hurt her, but he could see how much she knew. [ 15 HP ]

HP12/20 Attack 3 - 2 = 1 "A man. Well two even if one of them is a woman." Piy smirked but let out a small hiss as he yanked her wrist. "And hasn't anyone ever told you it's not nice to harm a lady?" With a smile, Piy twisted her wrist towards his thumb, the weakest point of the hold, and yanked. "Lucky for you, I don't consider myself a proper one."

Spectator
Nitrating had been fuming while waiting for his turn and since he couldn't just deck Tourmaline he decided to watch Cornetites fight instead. Not that he really wanted to see his friend get decked but he figured Blue would come out on top somehow. The Lieutenant was leaning against the railing blocking the spectators off trying not to wince every time his opponent landed a hit on Cornetite.

"How about, between the two of us, we consider it less harming a lady and more making sure a fellow Lieutenant knows what they should do in the event they make it to the next round... Y'know, other than let their opponent bleed all over them." His nose was starting to run a little bit more, head feeling just a little bit light. It wasn't helping his focus in the slightest. Then again, neither was hearing Lieutenant Nitratine voice cheering from the sidelines. It was then he realized the pressure on his thumb, yelping softly as he released her wrist before shoving her away. "Alright, alright.Back to business." [ 14 HP ]

HP:11/20 Attack:6 - 2 = 4 "Red is starting to suit you." Piy smiled before casting a glance over her shoulder at the screaming 'fan'. "Friend of yours?" She chuckled, this time not letting the moment get away from her. "I thank you for the lesson but I think I will be just fine." Blowing him a kiss with her left hand, Piy's right hand drew back and threw a punch right into his gut.

"Not the biggest fan of red and blue as a color combo, Doll." It was acceptable on the Fourth of July when stateside, and he supposed a few other times of the year when you were elsewhere, but it wasn't his thing. He preferred to match and when it was red it was all fire and flames or nothing. He rolled his eyes at the rally call from the stands. He knew that he was perfectly capable of 'kicking her a**' but he'd been brought up to not raise his hand to a woman. Something about this just seemed wrong... If he didn't at least defend himself, though, he was going to get his own a** kicked, and that wouldn't be any more acceptable. The punch to his gut was unexpected, catching him while he was distracted by a combination of his own thoughts and his friend's voice. Good for him the last part of their troublesome trio hadn't shown up to 'spectate' yet. God help him if he had to hear both of them prattle on about what he was or wasn't doing right. He caught the other Lieutenant by the arm before she could pull her fist back to wind up again, giving her a swing in an attempt to lightly fling her away from him. "That's enough of that." [ 10 HP ]

HP: 5/20 Attack: 8 - 2 = 6 "Whee!" Piypite laughed as she went flying away from the man, spinning as she slowed down so she would be facing him again. "Aw. But it's just getting fun." Piy began to smirk at him before launching herself forward again, closing the distance. Faking a punch, she quickly dived around him, kicking him as she did into the back of his leg. "How much are your friends going to tease you?"
