 The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite, standing off to the side to monitor!
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.
OOC RULES:
- THIS FIRST BATTLE YOU WILL HAVE 96 HOURS (4 days) to complete because I am starting them early. The rest will be 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.
- If you have any questions, please contact kuropeco through Discord or PM!
THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

Mourite sauntered to the arena, an easy grin on his face. Was he overconfident? Probably. Was he going to win regardless? Hell yes, he was. This was a test by the Force. Not his Trails, not yet, but a test nonetheless. A good gage of where he was if nothing else. Hopefully, Cavansite could come and watch, but it was not a requirement
He stepped into the ring, eyes narrowing almost immediately at the... woman? across from him. She had glowing eyes - three of them - and lightbulbs in her hair. What the hell was she? It actually threw him off ever so slightly.
That was a thing that could happen? People could become... creatures?
Huh.
He quickly centered himself and readied himself, little thimbles on his fingers glittering in the light.
"Did ya know you've got lightbulbs in your head? Might wanna get that checked out," he said.
ROUND ONE.

Hearing about the tournament had been intriguing. In part because she was, without question, delighted to have things she could watch and learn of other members there in Negaspace. That she could participate... well. She couldn't say no to that.
Carnotite had no General that she hoped to see grace the stands. The half-youma was especially close to few--if any, should she really be pressed on the matter--and barely spared a glance to see if anyone was even at her back.
The three glowing eyes remained trained on the youth before her, a sweet as poison smile on her pale face. "Goodness, they bring them in younger and younger, don't they? I love your uniform though, darling. Let's have a fun match, hm?"
Would she love to win? Of course. It was a wonderful chance to prove herself, to show herself as valuable--if not more so--than other agents. But though her pride was perked by the event, she was aware it'd been a... while since she'd properly trained. The reality stood that she might not last long here. Why not have some fun then and give a show?

Hey now. Just because he was still in high school meant absolutely nothing, you silly lady! That just meant you were old!
Very mature Mourite, your master would be so proud.
"Don't think that my age has anything to do with it, lightbulb lady. The Force will guide me!" Mourite charged at her, bringing his thimble hand up to try to claw at her face. Maybe he could take out one of her eyes. Three was entirely too overpowered and unnecessary.

The kid had enthusiasm. She could give him that much. And that was really about it. Yes she had lightbulbs. Didn't he encounter a half-youma before now? And to hear him go on about the Force... "Oh darling, it certainly wasn't for your mind that they grabbed you now was it?" She said this in a sigh, a wistful sound as she tapped a finger against her cheek.
A cheek that, as the kid came rushing towards her, soon sported a small cut from the strike, something that irked her... though amused her. "You're cute." But that was hardly enough to help him in the long run. She collected the electricity that ran through her body into her hands, feeling it crackle in the air around her as her bulbs grew brighter. She smiled, feeling her hair lift a bit from the electricity, before shoving her hand towards the kid's chest.
It wouldn't kill him, not remotely. It likely wouldn't even hurt him a crazy amount. But she was going to make a point: he'd need to think a little more before he struck next time.

a-disgruntled-dragon A joke shock buzzing handshake from Carnotite is the least of your worries when you make physical contact with her. Though Carnotite does run a bit on the warm side naturally now, all that extra juice running through her systems can be far too easily condensed into her hands, feet... really anywhere across her body. Focusing this electrical charge at any point on her body, she can deliver a wallop of a shock to another body, even through clothing--hers, or theirs. The shock itself is comparable to a strong shock from static electricity--strong enough to make you jump and hurt the region for a while, but nothing to cause remote permanent damage. Carnotite requires 60 seconds to recollect her energy to use this charge again, and is capable of doing this three times a day.

WHAT THE EVERLIVING--- She had force powers!? That was actually a thing!? He yelped and jumped back, rubbing his arm.
"What the hell was that!? How the ******** do you have Force powers!?" he snapped at her, throwing a leg out towards her knee.
That was totally not fair. How did she get powers, and he got stuck with plastic thimbles!

Force powers? "I'm a half-youma, dear. Might be best to learn a bit more about what the Negaverse has to offer, hm~?" Some might argue it was horrible to talk so much during a fight, but really the whole point for her was to have a bit of fun.
Not that it was much fun to have his foot slam into her knee, and for her legs to buckle from it, slamming down to the ground with a hiss. She tried to swipe at him with a punch, but wasn't sure she was fast enough to land one.

Half-youma, as opposed to full youma? Could people become youma? He couldn't ask as a punch swung for his face and he had to duck. It clipped his chin and Mourite let out a grunt of pain.

He threw a punch back towards her, aiming for one of those lightbulbs on her head.

Carnotite yelped as one of the bulbs exploded under the hit. It didn't hurt her--they just were accents to help her power be conducted properly. But it still was annoying to replace them!
Huffing, she aimed a quick punch towards the kid's cut, trying to swipe his feet out from under him with a kick as well.

"GAH!" The leg sweep took him down to the ground and he winced, biting the inside of his cheek. Mourite tasted blood in his mouth and glared at her.
He swung his legs around to try to do the same back to her.

She managed to keep herself upright though he did knock her a bit off balance with the swipe. Huffing, Carnotite kicked at his downed form, trying to aim her heel for the softer parts of his torso--nothing below the belt. She wasn't a savage.

[Spectator]Cavansite hadn’t signed up for the tournament this year, she had honestly forgotten and had run out of time, though when she saw that one of her lieutenants was participating, she couldn’t just let him go and fend for himself.
Moving towards the spot where Mourite was fighting…oh. A half youma. How interesting.. The General watched, seeming pleased at the way her lieutenant was holding up. “Come on, Mourite. Focus and concentrate. You’ve got this.”
Her words were soft, though she hoped he heard her, not that she was trying to distract him, but sometimes all you needed to know was that someone was there rooting for you. It was important to know that someone cared.
And Cavansite did. “I know you can do this.”

Not going below the belt was probably her mistake, because Mourite curled in on himself and grappled her foot. He grinned wide once he found purchase and rolled away from her, aiming to bring her down to the ground.
Hard.
In his roll, he spotted his General in the stands. Pride swelled in his chest and he added extra effort to his pull. She was here cheering him on. He better put on a good show!

When the kid grabbed her foot, Carnotite cursed, not remotely shocked when he brought her down. Though she did manage to lash out with her other foot, hoping maybe she'd kick him in the head or something. Brat.

She glanced the side of his head with her foot. It distracted him as he reacted more than the pain actually prompted, and he sort of flailed his foot back at her. Maybe he'd hit a rib or something.
