The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite, standing off to the side to monitor!
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.
OOC RULES:
- THIS FIRST BATTLE YOU WILL HAVE 96 HOURS (4 days) to complete because I am starting them early. The rest will be 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.
- If you have any questions, please contact kuropeco through Discord or PM!
THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

Beatrix stood before her opponent, she had signed up to learn a bit about the people involved. Fighting would be the unfortunate side effect for her studies. With a sigh she curtsied to her opponent, hoping that it wouldn't be too much of a pain for her. "Hello, and may the odds be ever in your favor." Her long hair fell forward around her as she did so, adding a quiet f*ck to her otherwise polite introduction.

Idrialite was....not sure why he had chosen to do this all over again. Perhaps the sting of burnt pride, the desire to do better. Perhaps it was simply that he was far too competitive to let any chance to win pass him by.
This year, his opponent was a curious sort -- a Senshi, a woman. As Tobias, he might have had hesitations about hitting her. As Idrialite, he knew such compunctions were utterly pointless. Cinnabar more than taught him that.
Still, a polite bow before they began.
"And same to you."

Her opponent was at least a foot taller so it would be a bit troublesome for trying certain things. That plus her lack of fighting experience led to her just running up to him and dealing out a slap. Hopefully it would catch him by suprise and she could use her abilities later. All in all though she hoped it wouldn’t go on for too long or need too much effort to be finished,

Of all the things Idrialite might have expected as an opening salvo, a literal actual slap to the face was....not it, at all. He stared in open surprise, and couldn't quite manage to respond, which was not exactly the opening showing he wanted.
Another round, it seemed, of stung pride and absolute failure to even come close to expectation,s which was, frankly, just like him.Sara Draconia /light wave literally a year late to the filling it in party, sorry! lost this hardcore in the interim crying

The slap must have done something because he hadn't responded in turn yet. With another wind back, she slapped him with her other hand on the other side of his face. "Ha! Take that!." It wasn't that effective but if it worked then why waste extra energy at this point?

This was....blatantly humiliating. Slapped across the face, twice, by an opponent who clearly had no respect for him. He snapped out a hand to grab her wrist, and squeezed, and glared icily down at her.
“Enough.” He said, flatly. “Either fight or don’t.”

With her wrist temporarily immobilized, she glared up at him. "Well sorry. I am an academic first and fighter second."
His grip was a bit stronger than expected as she tried to pull away.

Idrialite let go, because at the least he felt his point was made. “So am I, but it’s just as disrespectful in academia to present an argument full of holes and logical fallacies as it is to come into a battle and slap your opponent.”
Honestly. Ridiculous.

With the opening he gave her, she dug her boot heel into his foot. "I find that sometimes the results justify the means, especially when one is inexperienced in a field such as fighting. Perhaps it is not the method that bothers you but the opponent in general."

Idrialite stumbled backwards when her heel connected with his foot, frowning deeply. “What, exactly, are you trying to insinuate, here?” He demanded. Whatever insult was coming, he knew that he was going to be pretty assuredly offended. So far, he was incredibly unimpressed with this girl's fighting skills, physically or rhetorically, and he expected that was going to continue. Not that it meant much, if she managed to get lucky and beat him; if anything, that would just make the sting of defeat worse.

"I'm insinuating that a giant such as yourself is going to be beaten by girl almost two feet shorter than you." As the fog spread from her, she ran up and uppercut him right in the jaw while he was held still with her ability. She tried to get a few good hits into him while she had the cover of fog. Sailor Scout Attack: Beatrix's Grasp A dark fog radiates out from Beatrix, a shadowy figure appears in the fog. It will reach out to grab an enemy with an icy cold hand. The being is still mostly enveloped by the fog or shadows. The radius is 6 feet. Effect and illusion lasts for 15 seconds and can be used 3 times per battle

"Oh, I wouldn't be so assured of your victory," Idrialite said dryly. There was still plenty of time, and plenty of blows to trade, and now that his pride had been brought into the equation, he wasn't exactly eager to lie down and take what she was dishing out.
And then, the arena began to fog over, and it took him a moment, but he quickly realized what was happening.
Senshi magic. Unpredictable, often terrifying, and never Idrialite’s favorite thing to deal with. Especially when it involved strange fog and ice cold hands belonging to something clearly inhuman and monstrous reaching out to grab him, and being held in place to take an uppercut.
He hated feeling helpless, and helpless was all he could possibly feel in the face of whatever was happening here. Maybe she was right. Maybe he was about to be ********,” he gasped, and he called his weapon to his hand and swung hard, though he was pretty sure he only managed to clip her.

She felt the hit on her side before glancing off into the fog. Using the sound he made, she hit him again with her fist. It was only a single hit this time but she put some force behind it. She wanted to get this over with before the fog dispersed fully. If it came down blow to blow, he had a physical advantage on her. Super space magic helped her edge ahead of him and would hopefully net her the win.
