Hobbies:
- Napping - This is a hobby, right? It must be because this is what Alexis can be found doing about 80% of the time. If asked about why he sleeps so much he either snaps back with "I'm a cat, what do you expect?" or his lazier answer of "Conserving energy."
Watching Soap Operas - When he isn't sleeping, he's probably planted on the sofa in front of the TV watching his stories. He enjoys the drama, even when it's predictable and/or not very plausible. He will growl and stare you down if you change the channel in the middle of a show. If it's not changed back soon he might even bite. It hasn't been tested yet.
Jigsaw Puzzles - It can be difficult with paws but he makes it work. It's just his luck that the humans he lives with also enjoy puzzles. When they aren't home and his stories aren't on, Alexis has been known to help them along a bit. He likes the way the pieces fit together, and it gives him a little bit of pride and happiness to figure something out. Especially if the humans had been stuck on a part. They all just think someone else did it because who would believe the cat was putting their puzzles together?
Virtues:
- Articulate - He speaks well, and he's usually good at explaining himself. He can also be called "silver-tongued" and enjoys flirting but doesn't get the chance to practice often. Bad grammar drives him crazy, and he can get pretty irritable over it.
Clean - Alexis keeps himself and his belongings immaculately clean and in good working order. He believes cleanliness is next to catliness, and cats were worshiped as gods in Egypt. While he knows he's just an alien that looks like an Earth cat, he could get lucky. Besides, who wants to live somewhere dirty if they can help it? Ew.
Sociable - He loves to meet new people and make new connections. He isn't too bothered about making friends so to speak, but having acquaintances and connections can be extremely helpful in life.
Flaws:
- Lazy - As with his napping, he blames being a cat. But really he's just lazy. He doesn't want to move more than he has to, but a lot of it is a lack of motivation. He'd just rather be at home watching his stories and putting together a puzzle than anything else. He'll do his job as a Guardian of course, but beyond that? Meh.
Abrasive - He has a tendency to say what he thinks before he can think better of it. It can grate on people's nerves, especially when he isn't apologetic about it afterward. If he said it, even if he shouldn't have, it must have needed to be said so why should he apologize? He's not going to tip toe around feelings. People are too sensitive, jeez.
Impatient - When he's up and getting things done, he can be ridiculously impatient to get through with it so he can get back to doing nothing in particular. He can also be impatient with the humans he lives with when they take forever to finish a puzzle. Or when they forget to feed him on time.
