Seren stood at the edge of the mud pit that she had been sent to for this battle, her brows lifted high. What an awful start point for this battle. She wasn't entirely thrilled at the idea of battling Kim, but she was ready to do it. After all, she kicked Rhys' a**, and he was her boyfriend... and it had been her idea, AND she was proud of herself for doing it, too. "Well, it is time to get this show on the road, Kim." She called out, her head held high, and Diwata, who Kim would find was taller then some of the men in their lives. Seren took a deep breath, looking around as she did so, then moved into the middle of the mud pit. She was glad she had worn her oldest boots, jeans and turtleneck for this particular battle, because she had a feeling that they were going to be RUINED before this was all over. "This is gonna be muddy. Let us be careful, yeah? Otherwise, we might well finding ourselves falling from the mud, more often then we go down from hits to each other, Kim." Once she was in the middle, she turned to face her friend, eyes steady.

Henry was trying to make the rounds to show his support of the people on the island he actually knew and liked. It wasn't a long list, but Seren was on it, so the blue haired teen had found himself a semi-dry bit of lawn to stand on on the edge of the ring, and if he managed to catch the bubbly girl's eye before she started her match, he'd grin brightly at her, waving. "Come on, Seren! You got this!" He remembered facing off against her, she hadn't been easy--not that anyone was, really. But she'd definitely kept him on his toes.

Kimberly limbered up, then headed out to her fight. She paused a moment as she caught sight of the one she was going to have to fight. "Seren!" She gave a bit of a wave, just to show that she knew this was basicly sparring where they were paired up with someone and didn't get to choose. No malice. That said though... She touched her belt, Time to play Chinthliss, lets show what we can do!The manticore hummed a bit in her mind, apparently pleased with the idea of this fight. Kim was rather surprised at how good an arena they had for her battle style. Lots of space, good swinging range. She spun her whip over her head a moment and let crack. Solid hit. She grinned and danced in place, even with mud her light frame able to bounce a little, keep moving and suction wont hold you back, so she hoped. Kim: 50/50 damage: 10

Seren grinned and began moving, her large sword coming up and about. Seren found it easier, when dealing with weapons like a whip, to get moving as soon as she could. "Yeeeeeeeees..." She hissed out, pulling Diwata back, hard. As she got close, the whip hit her, and she SWORE under her breath, because that was a hard starting hit, and she really ******** felt it. However, she grinned and said "Don't hold back, or I'm gonna resent it, and resent it BAD." She preferred when her opponent went just as hard as she was going to go. When she got to the right distance to hit, she swung, and swung hard for Kim's legs, because she was hoping to knock her friend down. Diwata's weight could be useful for hits like that, after all!

Noemi didn't have a Seren flag but she had stolen someones galaxy printed scarf and was waving that around. She wasn't as cheering but in a smaller voice, she waved it around, "You can do it Seren!!!"
she also had a medical kit for the sun huntress if she went TOO hard.

"Ow!" Okay big sword, big pain...
Kim winced as the impact hit her leg and she jumped back just in time to keep from being shortened at the knees.
She had no feelings of resentment, though the cheering from Seren fans was a tad distracting. Big surprise, no Kim fans. Seriously, she needed friends.
She grit her teeth a moment then grinned at Seren. "No worries, we are both Sun, so the heat is on for us. Sun pride!"
No matter the result here a Sun hunter was going to win.
She swung her whip and... slipped in the mud landing on her backside. "ooof..." yeah.. nice one.

Seren reversed the swing, so that Diwata did not cause her to go off balance, and slipped forwards, trying to press her advantage. She found the mud a touch challenging to move in, but she was working it to the best she could. She found herself VERY glad, once again, for her daily runs and every other day workouts with Rhys. It was making her huge sword manageable. The cheering, small voice or not, made Seren's smile grow wide and she had to control the urge to cheer back, because it felt nice to know her new friend was here. She called out "THANK YOU, NOEMI!" however. She began her next swing, and was surprised by Kim's falling over. She was barely able to adjust for the swing, but DID manage to at least scrape the other woman's FEAR shield.

Kim was lucky to resist the urge to look up, or the blade would have freaked her out. That thing was large and going over her head so close. She rolled off to the side and onto one knee, her wrist snapping as she moved to lash out again with her whip. It was a bit of a weird move, the start being where it was made it a tad awkward, but she had been learning with Chinthliss' help. She made a soft murmuring sound as she tried to keep her concentration. Ugh just picture being stabbed with that thing.. Part of her mind did kind of slip a bit as she wondered what had been up with her friend lately, Seren was so busy now. Even with her mind a bit off center, she managed to at least hit her friend, if just lightly. Kim: 38/40 Damage 3

Seren took the next hit with a calm grin, and began to move to the side, pulling Di up again, at a different angle now. She was going to try to hit Kim's side, because she didn't want the small hunter flat again. It was, she had discovered, harder to hit her that way. Especially since, despite having tried for it, she hadn't actually expected to succeed. Seren took a small breath, then swung up, for Kim's right side, for the moment, in a large swing, similar to that of a baseball player trying to hit a homerun.

Kim's eyes widened at Seren's strategy and how it had worked actually, she was starting to learn how a baseball would feel. Well not so much, if she had been hit that hard she would have went sliding. Maybe it was a good thing she hadn't went sliding, she instead spun with the hit and let it fuel the movement of her whip. She swung hard and was satisfied as the whip connected. She grinned a bit, and kept flowing through the movement. Kim 33/50 Damage 11

Seren hissed a little at the hit, but took it like a champ... It was hard, but NOTHING like the time Rhys had sent her flying across the Sparring Field, so this was not going to knock her down, or out. "GOOD HIT!" Was all she said, however. She darted to the side, and perhaps might teach Kim another lesson... That momentum can work both ways, because Seren used Diwata's weight on the backswing to hit AGAIN, with even more force at Kim's side, this time.

Kim yelped softly and jumped a bit as the blade bit into her side. Oh that one hurt! She rubbed her side with one hand and then adjusted her position. She slid down onto one knee. Celebrating too fast was going to be a bad thing for the pair of them. She gleeped softly as her whip went wizzing off far from where she wanted to attack. She groaned and tried to scramble back to her feet and landed in the mud again. It was getting too sticky! Kim:24/50 -.-; Miss

Seren watched Kim's reaction, and might have felt bad for her friend, except... Well, they'd signed up for this, and knew what they were getting themselves into. Seren wasn't gonna hold back, not for a friend. Not when she had happily shown Rhys how much a** she could kick in their second spar. She darted past the flailing missed attack, bringing Diwata in again for a hard swing UP, aiming for Kim's arm, hoping to make it a good hit.

Dai came running down to the field, out of breath, because he'd been caught up in duty, and had ALMOST missed his sister's spar. He got there in time to see his sister execute a HELLISHLY hard looking hit on some tiny woman he didn't know.
He stopped. He stared. He CHEERED, but was stunned too. "SEEEEEEEEREN! SEREN! SEREN!"
