Alumaria strolled along a well-worn path in the forest, intent on finding juicy berries and other delicious vegetation. She was in the midst of gathering more food for her little hole in the tree that she'd discovered some time ago. It had been an abandoned badger--mole? squirrel? She wasn't sure--hole that had enough room for one such as her, who lived by herself and lived simply. As she walked, her eyes darting here and there to look for the signs of a berry bush, she discovered some fresh moss.
"Perfect!" she hummed to herself. She had been needing new moss to make a new bed with, her old bed was starting to lose its softness. She began to dig at the moss, carefully extracting it from its current abode. Alumaria decided her paws were too full to hold much more, and so she carefully made her way back to her hole.

Artemis yawned and stretched out on the thick branch where he'd taken his late morning nap. He'd recently been wandering through a lovely bit of forest and took advantage of the slight edge his long tail granted him with balance to spend nap times in less accessible heights. A contented purr escaped him as he stood and looked upon a gorgeous afternoon. He made his way carefully but with practiced skill out of the tree.
Now that he was rested he wondered what he should do with the rest of day that loomed before him. He'd just recently visited with Athena, one of his fathers and the too had mostly spent time catching up and doing some father son bonding hunting and such. Being with the only other non-kirin of the family helped a great deal for Artemis's well-being. He didn't need to do anything special to stand out with Athena-dad. But that also meant he was a little out of practice in the skills that he developed, singing and dancing being his favorites.
So with that in mind he began to wander along, not realizing he was following a forest path. He warmed up his voice sometimes humming, sometimes with nonsense little tunes and sometimes added some dancey steps in time with the tunes.
"And so we roam through the world, finding our way. So often on our own, alone, alone ..." he sang without a care in the world, "But keep on with a happy tune and friendship could be around the corner...."
